Siobhan: tell me about it! John: A psuedo-contest. John: We can basically do it anywhere. John: We'll call it 24 or something. John: Basically, your job is to write 24 poems in 24 hours. You can begin whenever, the timer starts after you post your first poem. John: You don't have to do them one every hour or anything like that, but you can't post every poem in your first post. John: You can only post one in your first post. John: When you finish, people will comment on them, noticing patterns in your writing, strengths, weaknesses, and vote on their favorite. John: It's just a writing exercise with a healthy amount of constructive criticism afterwards. Siobhan: thats a really good idea Siobhan: maybe you should like Siobhan: start an lj community for that or something! Siobhan: if people want to join in Siobhan: they can post their first one or whatever in their topic and then they have to comment with the other 23 Siobhan: and people can reply to them and stuff Siobhan: you just gotta get some people that say they'll do it Siobhan: and start the lj comm up Siobhan: and invite people Siobhan: and maybe people will just all come and doi t! It's rather clear and obvious that nobody else will post in this thread before I'm banned, so I'll have to ignore your little "No posting them all in the first thread" rule. I promise that every one of these was written by me, in this window. 1 Cherry Blossoms bud While the showers rain on me The First day of spring 2 April showers fall Making may flowers full bloom Sunlight warms the air 3 Life's new Begining Warm breezes, love in the air Cute baby birds chirp 4 Springtime is the best So bright, so beautiful but it's raining hard 5 A flood covers us Washing away my springtime Rain rain go away 6 Please end this season I can't take anymore rain There, the sun comes out 7 It's summer time now Finally the rain meets end The sunlight shines through 8 Warming up again It's Time to go to the beach Surfing is the best 9. Just windy enough I'll go fly a kite today Through the sky so blue 10. Really hot today I'll just soak in a tub then I can beat the heat 11. The wind has kicked up Rain started again as well The hell's going on? 12. It's a hurricane First summer heat, and now this? Please take it away... 13. Made it out alive Just enough leaves on the trees To enjoy autumn 14. Brisk sweater weather Beautiful golden brown hues Season I adore 15. Leaves fall all around I dance in gold and red snow Crunching sounds below 16. My Mom makes me work To rake up the leaves I love Obscuring nature 17. A masterpiece gone Reduced to a pile of leaves Still pretty somehow 18. A breeze blows away All the work I'd done today But with it, comes white 19. My tongue catches flakes Tasteless white crystals of ice That seem so tasty 20. The white snow field Like a canvas to paint on Kids sculpt snow figures 21. Cars travel on black They go faster than I do But sleds feel faster 22. It's winter's climax Lovely time of great giving Family all here 23. Too cold to go out But I don't care in the least Cocoa for the win 24. The coldest season Has Christmas and Valentines Ice makes cold hearts melt |
