| Meh, unless I totally read that wrong I wouldn't worry about it too much. From what I can tell they're only charging for the extra stuff that they haven't even put in yet. They wouldn't charge the basics. They get some of their revenue, as the article said, through click-throughs. What happens if they start putting fees on the simple stuff? Less people are willing to pay for something like that and so will visit less. Less "clicks" means less money generated for them. As for the other sites like Yahoo! and the rest. They may jump on the wagon, but they'll pretty much do the same. Besides, MSN has its reasons for doing that. The people aren't making as much money as they need. It's a smart move on their part. | |||

| The problem isn't just Microsoft doing this, it's the fact other companies WILL follow suit if this turns out to increase profit margins. However then it is likely that the opposing companies will begin competing with each other for better services and cheaper prices.
Even then, as everyone else has said, Google is the way to go. |

| I have used the same Yahoo mail account sine I was in 7th grade and probably will unless they try to charge me. I have an MSN mail account and a Gmail account but my Yahoo account is my real one. Plus there only charging for the upgraded stuff that I wouldn't use anyways. | |||

| Usually I use Hotmail for practically everything involving e-mail, but if that happens and they make you pay or stop using MSN hotmail then I'll just stop using it and switch to G-mail or something. I'm not adverse to change. =) | |||
