One thing I've noticed about a lot of the Anime I've watched compared to American cartoons is that the drawings are incredibly detailed, but the animation seemed dull and lifeless, while cartoons do a better job of animation for more simpler looking visuals.

You have changed my opinion. Now if only I understood what they were saying mid fight. xD

Yeah, I don't understand how even today American cartoons just can't even compare to the amount of detail in anime.

That clip definately had the most detailed fight scene I've seen in anything so far. Then again, the little part with talking contained no animation apart from the mouth, which slowed the whole thing down. I guess I prefer very skilled animation over detailed drawings, which is why this little clip stood out to me.

I always find that Anime is usually very serious business while cartoons have a high comedic value over its ability to create a continuous story over many episodes if not entire series, although that's gotten a lot better in the more recent years.

Also, if cartoon adopted the detail and effort that's put into Anime, it would mean it's no longer a cartoon. It would just make it another Anime, thus making it lose its simple charm and ability to be made into a more random and funny thing. I could never imagine something like Family Guy be made into anime style. It would probably ruin a lot of it.

I dunno man, I've seen some pretty good animation in anime. Haruhi is credited as to having great animation by many folks.

I watched the first episode of this series. I never watched past that. It was kind of ... not for me. If I stuck through with it, it'd purely be for the

Oh when things are actually happening, I agree that anime's animation is better. It's just when talking starts to happen, everything stops to just the mouth moving. And a lot of the time I see the same actions repeated a large number of times.

Hmm I think I've actually seen that clip somewhere before but I can't remember when.

Anyways, that's crazy.

Also I to agree that anime's animation is much better.

Elfen Lied, they reused like a billion scenes...

As for this anime, I don't think I'd get into it for anything more then the boobs, and the awnser to "how many cartridges can you stuff down the front of your shirt?!"

It actually has a pretty decent storyline. Its not that long, so it might entertain you for a few days or so.
