| Well for all those who dont know, SOAD is temp broken up, and serj is doing his own solo thing.
his CD comes out oct 23 and the 2 single releases are very impressive, the songs are a little more poltical/recent event type but not so much that its not a great sounding song still. The 2 singles are "The unthinking majorioty" and "empty walls" Check it out

| I've always thought Serj was cool though a little on the preachy side. Oh well, that's his style.

| I do have to say, though, that those things that Serj gets preachy about are often topics that need to be addressed as it is.
Since his former band members were Armenian and I think he was born in the area (though his last name is Armenian), he's been fighting for people to recognize the horrors of the Armenian Genocide and that it should not be denied. |

| His new stuff is awesome, I can't wait to see what the other members of SOAD come up with during their hiatus... good strategy btw, keep the band from driving each other crazy.
Has anyone watched Serj on Serj yet? It's on KROQ.com, or at least it was when I saw it... freaking hilarious! |

| Yeah, I agree with him getting preachy, but he does it in a way I think that keeps him away from the Rage against the machine kinda preaching.
but his CD is gonna rock. I doubt Daron(sp) would do anything as far as solo work, i think serj is the only member doing it, his voice has that special sounds to it. heres the other video "the unthinking majority" |

Interesting. The stupidest mother fucker I ever met once told me he liked Rage Against the Machine's music, but didn't like their politics. HELLO! Was he listening to their intrument-only versions, void of lyrics? I doubt it. "Was it cast for the masses who burn and toil, or the vultures who thirst for blood and oil?" "More for Gore or the son of a drug lord? None of the above! Fuck it!" I truly feel sorry for the sheep and zombies that have no idea what they are listening to, and would even hate what they are listening to if they paid attention, who continue to listen because it's packaged nicely with a "good beat." |
