My girlfriend convinced me to go to water polo with her today. I almost drown during the warm ups and got a leg cramp but once we started to scrimmage I found it to be quite enjoyable. I ended up scoring three goals. I think it was because nobody knew me or guarded me.

Anybody else ever played? Enjoyed or hated? Discuss...

It's kinda like netball in water, as in you can't move with the ball and you throw it to pass to otehr players, except with football-like goals instead of baskets. I played it at school a few times before the end of the year and I found out it was one of my favourite sports games to play.

The poor horses. XD That's a George Carlin quote.

Anyway yeah I used to play it all the time with my buddies in Fort Gordon.

No, but I hate playing games in the water. It's dangerous to my health and inconvient.

Like I said, I have fear of drowning and to swim in pools so I never ever swim in the pool again.

Nope. I've never played polo on horses or in the water in my life. I didn't even know how to play it until Danny Phantom explained it in his post.

Sure sounds like fun though. I love to swim so I might get a couple people together one day and try it.

Pretty much yea. When you say "football" do you mean like "soccer?" You can move with the ball by putting it down in front of you and using your arms to make waves and push it forward. Though you rarely do this since it's more efficient to pass it and it's less likely that the ball will get stolen from you while doing passing. It's surprisingly fun to play since it's a great team sport. You need to be able to tread watter pretty well though.

OH yes, I have played it a couple times. But it was against big tall mean guys, so I lost. But it is a fun sport, I don't do it enough. I have only played it maybe three or four different times at camp.

It's a lot of fun when your playing with friends. However I did get to know some of the kids that were there also so it can also help you to make new friends. Just don't play with crazed super competitive people for your first time.
My friend has a pool and I was thinking about getting a water polo ball for it so we can play there any time we want.
