| Hm, turns out it _was_ a lone gunman and 32 is the total count as of now.
A guy I was talking to said it had something to do with his girlfriend. I seriously hope not, because that's the worst reasoning for shooting people ever. At least have a good reason.. like being bored. |

| Well I think the whole thing is f***ing ridiculous. About 28 people on my campus were involved in a game called zombies versus humans (website: zombies.darkunderworld.net) where some of us carry nerf guns to shoot the zombies. Our campus safety department cleared us to play when we talked about having nerf guns on campus and playing with them outside. We've been playing since 10:00pm (Eastern) on Friday April 13 and we had to suspend the game because they didn't want us carrying "guns." Its total bulls**t. I mean, don't get me wrong, the shootings were a terrible thing. But to stop some college students from having some clean, safe fun with nerf guns and water pistols? WTF is all I can say. This country (USA) is really getting too paranoid and I'm shocked that the American public (as a whole) is so incredibly naive and paranoid.
If you can't tell, I'm really pissed about this right now. Admins/mods, feel free to edit this if you feel it necessary. EDIT: For clarification, I go to Albion College in Albion, MI (Last edited by Lord Alexandor on 04-17-07 12:40 AM) |

| This kind of thing is horrible.
Hard to think, but the lives of hundreds of people, the families and friends, will have to live with this forever. I don't know if I'll ever understand this thing we call humanity. There are so many incidents of fucked up people like this who think it's okay to go about killing other people. It's just, wrong. My roomate last year just so happened to be from that college too.. I've seen several people from there that I know. Makes it kind of scary. It's always, you hear about these things. But it's not such a big world, and it's really scary when you realize you're somehow indirectly related to what happens. It's not just a horror story, it's more real and hits home more. I can only imagine if any of those people were his friends. I don't suppose I'll know, but it's scary either way. I really don't see any reason to go about killing other people like that.. It's just not right. He must have been really messed up in his head. And then only to kill himself? Why bring everyone else down with him? I don't understand people |

| I felt really bad when I saw the news about Virginia Tech but I need to know. How the fuck the gunman got through security. If college students need to improve safety they need security cameras, and more security. Metal detectors wont help because they most likely to climb through gates and some other shit. | |||
