Getting some pretty intense wind here... 50+ mph in some areas. A few roads have closed...
Check out the amount of sand! |

Photos!
Sorry for the bump. There were some really intense winds yesterday! I went out to a lookout point in town with my brother, and as we were walking, I noticed we were both walking a nearly 45° angles to stay up! (Last edited by Belial on 03-08-11 06:29 PM) |

It's not about finding the meaning of life, but finding the meaning in life!
The longest I've stayed up was... 30 hours or so? Lame, I know. Combination of insomnia and working a 12 hour shift. If you have to choose one, would you rather be blind or deaf? What's your reasoning? |

It's very admirable that you're willing to give up so much for your family. I agree with everyone here about the college thing. I mean, being 23, switched my major twice... and I'm practically starting back at square one with premed. Another 8+ years! It's never too late to go, and you've gotta do, what you've gotta do. Family comes first.

Yup, I have had some of those moments too. Visiting New Orleans and Georgia... Many camping trips. My dad worked for the gas company, who would do their company picnics at Disneyland. We went a few times... I don't remember any of them.

I love Space Mountain though! I realize that the planks are right above my head, so I just don't put my hands up. The best time for Space Mountain was when they played the Red Hot Chili Peppers nonstop all day on it.
There's Frontier Land and Critter Country at Disneyland. Frontier Land consists of the Thunder Mountain roller coaster and Tom Sawyer's island, etc. I <3 Disneyland. |

Originally posted by Elara Blood poisoning is when you get harmful amounts of bacteria in your blood stream. It's also called sepsis, septicemia, and referred to as the patient being septic. You get it by basically having an infection... and it spreading to other organ systems (including the blood). Anyway, I hope you are on some good antibiotics and get that abscess cleared up/cut out or whatever they're going to do with it. |

I have a dilemma..
Fuck you stupid roommate for trying to put me down by saying I am too short and therefore not strong enough to mountain climb!! I can out lift you, you giant!! *Shakes fist* But.. I'm going to Germany in a few weeks, and A Perfect Circle tickets just went on sale.. and She's buying me a ticket and I'm paying her back when I come home... so... I guess that it cancels out? |

Let's see... I know my first ancestor (on my dad's side), to come to the United States was Andreas Huber, in the 1800s sometime.. He Americanized his name to Andrew Hoover. While I was in Germany, I heard a tale about a woman exorcist of sorts with the last name Huber, and think I -could- be related to her. Especially with her attitude according to the tale (She was going to be hanged and when asked if she had anything to say, she said "I forgive all of you." Such a Hoover thing to say. XD)
ummm. I'm related to the President Herbert Hoover and the outlaw, Jesse James. I'm fairly certain there's more, I just can't remember at the moment. I don't know much about my mother's side of the history book... though I wish I did. :-/ |

I... kind of agree with Nelrith. A credit union would be a good start, along with a lower spending limit, which you're going to find with every credit card, since you don't have credit. Also, the interest rate will most likely be a little higher than you would like. Credit unions may have lower interest rates, though.
But as for Capital One... That was my first credit card, and I had no issues. They're really good about opening up new accounts for those who haven't yet established credit. Though, like every one you try to open, your limit will most likely be around $500, interest around 15%. |

Busy, who, me?
I have no choice but to work two jobs on top of going to summer school, which is 2 hours a day, four days a week for 8 weeks. Fun stuff! I also have to figure out how to add volunteering at a veterinary clinic to my schedule as well. July is also going to be a crazy month... Many doctor's appointments, I finally get my last name back (divorce finalises), register for school for the fall semester (I graduate after this, yay!), I'm applying to a university in New Zealand and it's my birthday (even though I'll be working on it!)!!. So, I've lost some weight recently, and now fit better into the clothes I had in high school than I did when they were originally bought. lol. Just dye my hair orange again and give me contact lenses and I'll look almost exactly the same... >_> (The perspectives for the photos don't show much of a difference, weight-wise though... *sigh*).
Photo on the left is 2005, photo on the right is today. |

Originally posted by Nelrith My entire high school wardrobe consisted of these types of clothes.. LOL... I don't know what happened to all of them throughout the years... But I do still have a few things... and since none of my clothes fit me, and I'm too broke to buy new ones, the few things I have from school will have to do.. Goth-me once more! Hah!
