Neutral path is pretty good. It's also longer than Chaos and Law paths.
If you plan on going on Law after Neutral, but sure to farm Red Rider when you get locked unto Neutral. It's the only good way to get Incenses.

I'm on Windows 8.1, so take that for what it's worth.
It's pretty stable for me, but it depends on what drivers I'm using. For example, in Dolphin 4.0.2, the default audio driver made my game crash all the time. Going back to DirectShow, I don't get any crash at all.
Then again, I haven't tried that many games so, again, take that for what it's worth.
