Yeah, I know. I just forgot. Oh well, now I can spend the rest of my night watching Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, the most awesomely terrible movie that I've ever seen.

Also, does everyone that submitted have to judge? If so, when is the deadline for scoring or whatever?

That wasn't the scene of proof...not that portion, anyway. That was just what I was saying to establish the ambiguity. Besides,
Spoiler:
Cobb and Arthur were friends, and often worked together, so one would assume that they would have spoken at least. It's not entirely uncommon for two people that know each other to be on a plane, nor is it uncommon for one's subconscious to place people around you into dreams. Regardless, that scene was proof of nothing. I'm still thrown by why his father-in-law would have flown to America, from France, on a separate plane from them, to...give Cobb a ride home? If it was to check up on how the mission went, a simple phone call would have sufficed. Just seemed strange to me.

Ryan Reynolds will be just fine. He is a great and very underrated actor who makes even some of the most poorly written movies bearable (see The Proposal). I think he can pull off the serious role just as good as a humorous one, and I'm sure he'll bring at least some humor to the movie, which is far from bad. I, for one, am excited.

Yeah, I honestly never even considered the whole time period thing. Had I had more time, I probably would have picked up on that, but I didn't even know about the contest until less than 24 hours before the deadline. Not that it's any excuse, I could have done better, but that's why the plot seems rushed and contrived. I didn't have time to read over it and go "hmm, well that doesn't make sense". I appreciate the honest judgment though, thank you very much.

True Flight: the reason for the fragments was because of the narrative, it was from the POV of a crazy guy, who was essentially narrating it. It was intended to be written like that.

Stinky Underpants: The reactors melted down from neglect, since everyone was dead. I dunno. Like I said, I had very little time, so I wasn't too concerned with the scientific logistics of it.

Everyone: thank you for the criticism.

Yeah, thanks for the feedback guys. I definitely want to rewrite/fix this. Any suggestions on how to further flesh out the character/establish his need to feel special without the whole inner-monologue thing? I was thinking flashbacks, possibly, but do you think that's too cliche?

But like, in an ideal scenario, I would have his insanity established (in a way other than him rambling about it, as I first presented it) prior to meeting Miranda. It would no doubt be furthered by his interactions with her, but I want it to be noted by the reader beforehand somehow, and with the exception of flashbacks (which I'm a bit wary of using because of the issue of being cliche, as I previously mentioned), I can't think of a way to do that.

Also, I was thinking about this...which do you guys think would fit better: keeping the first person narrative, or switching it out to third person, maybe?

Phoenix: Granted, but you throw the world into disorder after messing with the space-time continuum. Thanks to you, the entire universe is now in chaos. The bad kind.

I wish that Urban Astronaut had gone along with the rules to this thread instead of saying a random reply.

Are you retarded? This was me and Nate's idea for our creative writing story. The trio of "supervillains" that aren't really good at anything.

Ahh, good idea, with the Cast Away reference...I might not go for something that obviously related, but a similar idea would function well...the re-write shall commense around 3:30 today.

Sorry I never got around to judging, I had a lot going on for the last couple weeks, between starting college and family/social problems...but I'd definitely be game for more writing competitions, and since things should be settling down soon, I'll be able to judge as well as compete...sorry again...

Granted, but you become so addicted to the fast download speeds and loading times that you never leave your house, and become a hermit.

I wish for a better roommate.

Granted. Unfortunately, several of the best events of your life occurred between now and then, but you have absolutely no recollection of any of them.

I wish that the cafeteria food at West Chester wasn't so awful.

Urban/Xeios: That just sounds like a cross between The Matrix and Gamer. I'm not a fan of any of these, they're too generic. Also what is terraformers or whatever?

Ninja Turtles was butchered, yeah, but at least they butchered it in a good way. If that makes sense. The Last Airbender wasn't anything like the show, nor was it a decent standalone movie. That's where it really went wrong, I think.

Granted. At your wish, the whole world crumbles into nothingness.

I wish I didn't break my ankle just after finding out I made my college's hockey team.
