| Seeing the sword extending towards him in an odd manner, Cyrus was not prepared to block it. Instead, he fell.
The fastest way to descend was to let gravity do it for you, so hawk ceased the beating of his wings. This not only left the sword reaching for nothing, but the laser that was now in sight was flying directly towards Vincent himself. The Charter symbol was still there, also, desperately close to its target. One could not disband a Charter symbol unless they themselves were Charter users. After a symbol is activated, the resultant attack and defense can only be manipulated by one who can control the base element of the attack. Charter was not something to be taken lightly. It had its flaws, but great strengths. |

| Cyrus clenched his teeth as the pain grew in his wings. The laser had been formed behind him, just as the last one had. Vincent had attacked him when his back was turned.
Blood showered downwards, covering Hawk and the salty waters below. The tips of Cyrus' wings fell downward, severed completely by the laser. The wings granted to him by the Angels of the Dreamworld were destroyed, no longer able to keep him in flight. Grimacing all the more, Hawk opened the wings wide and steadied himself, heading for the shore. The now red wings were able to support his weight for simple gliding, but that was it. Clenched hand held tight against his chest, Hawk opened it slowly, weaving Charter symbols at incomprehensible speeds. The floating Charter by Vincent's leg faded slowly, no longer needed. The battle was slowly slipping to one side, but Cyrus Hawk would not lose. |

| Chris sighed softly and trudged over to the pool everyone was drinking from, a bit away from the rest. His hands cupped into the calm surface, ripples showering outwards as though to mark his entrance into the depths of the water.
Thirstier than he realized, Chris drank several handfuls of water. The front of his shirt was sodden, but it felt soothing. Victoria began speaking, but the words resounded meaninglessly in his head. Martial arts. His mother. Sister. The smack of a bamboo sword against his ribs, and the tears that were repressed afterwards. He was never good at martial arts. But there had to be something he could do to get off of the island. |

| The Arena was...empty.
The stands stood barren, the stone bleachers broken in many places due to time. The coarse walls were covered in dirt and blood long dried by the beating sun rays. No one had been to this arena for quite some time, and for proper reason. Not a single challenge had been made for years. However, times changed. History often repeats itself, but in what ways are unforthcoming. A man stood readily at one side of the Arena, his appearance lively in the deserted battlefield. A dark red t-shirt was accompanied by a pair of basic jeans and black and white sneakers. A singular sword rested upon his back, the leather strap holding the scabbard stretching diagonally across the man's chest. "I wish to fight." The words resonated throughout the large field, awaiting a response. |

| Cyrus finished weaving the spell, and held it idle in the air, held together by a Master mark.
Still grimacing as the pain continued through his wings, Cyrus landed on the sand, turning quickly while withdrawing them. The fireball and sword were close, but Cyrus was ready. He ran across the beach, letting the fireball slam into the ground behind him. The direct heat would turn the sand to glass, which would just help Cyrus more. The sword aimed at him, however, was another problem. Attempting to use leverage against his opponent once more, the sword of Holy Light met Vincent's sword perpendicular. The effect should be the sword flying from Vincent's hand, considering the large distance between the two. To his far right, the smoke was still clearing the impact area, and to his left floated the Master mark awaiting activation. His wings put away, the blood loss had ceased, but the damage had been done. Luckily the laser had burnt the wounds close, so the damage was artificial. This Angel was good, but Hawk was better. |

| ooc: Removing previous. While Vincent did all of this, Cyrus activated the Charter symbol he had weaved earlier. It turned a deep purple before fading into oblivion, taking the light with it. The spell he had formed with the Charter was a simple one: clouds. Clouds filled the sky, stretching across the entire expanse of blue. The battlefield was now filled with darkness, imitating an Earth night. No sunlight pierced the menacing shield, and no rain would come, either. These clouds would sit by idly until dispelled by the Charter. Cyrus had noticed that Vincent had been using energy from the sun. He had watched it enter his body, and now it was gone. Vincent was on his own now; he had to use his own energy. Through the sheet of shadows, Cyrus watched calmly, his eyes showing everything in the full color of the beautiful energy. I think the movie *could* have been good if they kept it closer to the cartoon. On top of what Vince said, most of the goddamn story was missing! In most things, I know this is going to happen. However, these were vital plot scenarios. Plus, the Earthbenders were made horribly as well. |

| Phoenix stood in the center of the arena, his head pounding with blood and adrenaline. Dust swirled about in the wind, echoing as though spirits of past combatants were crying out for one last fight. Phoenix's red shirt stood out the most in the empty place. Plain jeans and sneakers were accompanied, along with a large scabbard holding a mighty weapon on his back.
