| ooc: Okay, I'll just do it again. As the ash rushed back towards Joe, he formed a dome of air around himself, making sure the ash didn't touch him. Therefore, when Phoenix pulled the ash upwards, his fire lit the ash and coal aflame. Using the flame as a shield, because neither combatant could see through it, Joe quickly launched himself into the nearest tree, completely out of sight from his opponent. With a smile on his face, he began charging his energy. |

| Samuel was frustrated that the geezer had ruined his tornado, but he still charged his power. He had plenty left, and Joe was too far away to reach him in one post, even using his air.
Samuel suddenly flipped as the air was yanked out from under him, but all he did was right himself with simple manipulation. He was flying, after all. |

| Phoenix's facial expression didn't change once as he waved his hand, dismissing the fire from existence. Using fire against Phoenix was not a strategy that would work.
Apparently, fire would also not hurt Dorjan, either, if he used it so freely. Other means would have to be taken. A spark formed in the right hand of the immortal, growing into a golden sword, it's crimson hilt the shape of its bearer's true form. At the same time, a cloud of ash began to form behind Phoenix, its swirling form blending with that of the shadows. "Your move." |

| Samuel began to laugh wildly as he continued flying towards his opponent. In a flash of light, a white scimitar rested in his hand as he slashed downwards, aiming at Alex's chest with a simple slash.
Phoenix suddenly ran forwards, also, his golden sword appearing in a similar, fiery manner. A cloud of ash surrounded him as he ran, leaking from his pores to cloak his movements. Alex was a strong opponent. He had a wide range of skills, and his technique a versatile one, but Phoenix was hoping to stop this man before any blood was spilled. Samuel was just enjoying the fun. |

| Phoenix was a fire-based attacker, suitable to his name. Fire was a very versatile element. It is able to be manipulated in various ways, some much stronger then the original itself. But it needed one thing to survive.
Oxygen. Phoenix's wings were somewhat of a solid, but composed completely of fire. Right now, the man was relying on those wings to keep him from plummeting to the ground. Joe had a different story in mind. He stopped charging his energy after this new plan arose, but instead focused on the back of Phoenix--right at his shoulder blades. The shoulder blades were where the fiery wings erupted from Phoenix, and they were most certainly the strongest part. However, they were thinner than the rest, and it was the connecting point between the beast and the wings. Very quickly, Joe formed two vacuums large enough to engulf the entire connecting point of each wing with room to spare. The man would surely fall to the ground, so Joe made sure to keep these vacuums trained on these spots. Because of this, Joe would have considerably less control over the air than he normally did, but his earth skills would be unhindered. Joe grinned largely from his hiding place. Bye-bye birdie. |

| With a huge gust, a giant vortex engulfed Samuel, throwing the stones casually to the side. A pillar of vicious wind surrounded the boy, stretching up into the sky itself to disturb the graying clouds.
Samuel began to move forward with this giant pillar, the earth below ripping from its tight hold and swirling about. Samuels eyes began to turn a glowing yellow within the swirling pillar. His nails grew out into threatening claws while black runes spread across his body from beneath his sleeve. The boys shirt ripped off from the gusting winds, showing nothing but pitch black skin beneath. The runes had covered his entire body, leaving it colorless. The face that smiled at Joe was not Samuel's. The demon had been released. |

| The Djinn was amazed at the energy flowing from the man's hand as it grew evermore threatening. As Xeios neared, it became apparent that his target was the newly formed weapon upon Tectalus's arm.
So Tectalus abode. With deft movement, the Djinn lifted his arm and hurled what would be a punch, if it were not for the point of stone, at Xeios's own fist. Tectalus would gladly take damage if he could get rid of the threatening hand that manipulated the lighting. |

| I have a lot of things to take care of, and none of them need distraction from the board. I have a lot going on right now, so I'll be leaving the board for a little while. Maybe a month or so. I'll still complete the writing competition story and try to judge, but otherwise, I'm more or less gone.

| So I have less than 24 hours, but I finally came up with a plot.
It's not awesome in the least bit, but it will suffice. Now I just need to actually write. 
EDIT: I lied. I like my plot a lot, actually. I worked out all of the kinks. The only thing is, I'm trying a different writing style for this. Hopefully it pulls through, but I like it so far. (Last edited by Phoenix on 08-20-10 08:51 AM) |
