| Samuel smiled widely, ignoring Phoenix as he narrowed his eyes. While the orb remained hidden, Phoenix could feel the energy forming in Alex's hand. He was unable to control raw energy, but in tune with its very presence. Especially the heat. This would be an easy job.
And then Phoenix felt it. The odd energy in the center of the orb. Samuel was reaching out his arm, most likely feeling the energy forming as well. With a quick hand, Phoenix grabbed Samuel's wrist and threw him into the air. And just in time. The orb arrived before Phoenix had time to blink, not that blinking would do anything. The explosion that followed was tremendous, and Phoenix was inside of it. Samuel heard the explosion over the stream of insults he was spewing from his mouth and looked down, easily taking flight in the air. With an enraged yell, he charged at Alex, screaming his head off the entire time. Before he reached Alex, however, shards of coal shot from the dust cloud that remained behind from the explosion. They were trained on and around Alex, and also moving as fast as a bullet. They covered a six foot span in all direction from their target. Samuel stopped and yelled with excitement, manipulating the air to push the shards faster. Even if their kinetic energy was taken away by Alex, the air would continuously add more. These shards weren't stopping until they hit their target. "Jumping to conclusions, Samuel?" Phoenix was laughing as well, enjoying the look upon Alex's face. By heating his body to extreme temperatures, Phoenix was more than protected against the sheer cold. The explosion had driven his back a bit, and there was dirt on his white button down, but Phoenix was more than alive. He was immortal. |

| ooc: I give credit where credit is due. If it weren't for you, that attack wouldn't exist. "Quite," grinned Phoenix before wincing in pain as he rose to his feet. Blood boiled upon his skin rapidly. Luckily, due to his natural heat, Phoenix's wounds would burn shut. The attack would leave him hurt still, but at least the bleeding would stop shortly. Triumph filled his heart as he saw that his opponent was just as badly hurt, but the fight was not yet over. He began concentrating on his inner fire, readying his next move. A white light glowed brightly upon his left hand, and his golden sword was gripped in his right. He took a deep breath, wincing as the burnt skin constricted, and let it out slowly. Phoenix was ready for more. |

| Alastor sighed as the fox before him spoke. He rolled onto his back with his arms outstretched. Sweat and dirt were caked onto his face, and his clothing was left torn.
"It was a good fight. But hopefully not the last," Alastor chuckled slightly. As he lay there, his laugh grew louder, exhaustion taking over his body. The icy dagger disappeared, and his eyes closed slowly. Even with the death attempts, the injuries and the tension of battle, Alastor was sure he had just made a friend. |

EDIT: Typo. 'The' instead of 'He'. "And I'd appreciate it if you gave your 'loot' back," the answering voice rang with authority. The figure took a step forward into the moonlight, revealing a man wearing a white button down shirt with dress pants. Unlike the man standing across from him, this man had light brown hair hanging into his soft face. He looked very formal, especially to be ordering around a criminal vampire. | Phoenix took a quick step backwards, easily avoiding the kick. The vampire, however, had bigger problems than his spilled pornography. Like the orb of light flying straight to his chest.
Just for kicks, Phoenix lit the bags and the dropped magazine aflame. "No alone time for you, buddy," Phoenix winked. |

| As Joe leapt into the air, Samuel fell to the ground. The dust surrounding his grew thicker as he drew in air around it, hoping to provide a wide screen from his opponent. And then the gun was fired.
A scream of pain was heard from within the smoke cloud. When it cleared, Samuel was seen lying on the ground without a movement. | But there was no blood to be found. Samuel had faked his death to draw Joe in. While in the smokescreen, the bullet had hit the ground to the left of Samuel. Coming up with in an idea in mere milliseconds, he screamed and fell to the ground.
And now his plan was in action. As Joe knelt down next to Samuel, he slowly built a thin layer of air between himself and the water pooled upon the ground. At the same time, he finally revealed the strength of his white blade. At the speed of light, a bolt of electricity raced off of the blade and into the pool of water. The water that Joe had gotten wet in before. The water he was now kneeling in. As the electricity continued to stream into the water, Samuel jumped up and backwards, levitating a few feet from the ground. This was a sure victory. With the water conducting the electricity straight into Joe, he would be dead in less than a second. |

| When the sand started to rise, Samuel formed a dome of air similar to his first defense around his body, stopping the sand from holding his hostage. The vacuum still formed, but only around Samuel's air dome.
Now, a vacuum is a tricky thing to create. In order for a vacuum to exist, nothing can exist in a specific are. In other words, there is literally nothing within a confined space. Joe was wrong. The elementalist was using a technique that he had not mastered, and very few have. Joe was under the impression that there were negatively charged particles within his vacuum. This is incorrect. Nothing was inside of his vacuum. When Joe moved aside the dust and let loose the lightning, it stopped dead once it hit his vacuum. In order for the lightning to continue through and strike Samuel, there would have to be a dense gas, such as air. There was none. While Joe was doing this, Samuel used his mastery over the air to increase the pressure on one of the Hydra's mouths, causing the water to spray towards Joe in a wide arc, most likely soaking him. |
