| OOC: This is an open challenge. I would like to try out my character, Tectalus.
Rules: 3 day post limit, etc (not that anyone follows that anymore these days, anyway. ). If the battle exceeds ten pages, a panel of judges will decide the victor. Otherwise, game on.
IC: Shadows stretched desperately away from the light as the sun rose over the horizon, chasing the away the remnants of the cold night. A few bushes and cacti made residence in the sandy expanse, but not many. A figure suddenly appeared the edge of a cliff, looking down upon the desert with his many eyes. One might think that the sunrise had tinted his skin a light purple, but this was not so. The cliff stood at least as high as a Redwood, a hundred feet or so. Behind the cliff, mountains started to form with a shallow slope, and then jutted into the heavens beyond as though to ward off unwelcome company. It has been many years since I have laid eyes upon my Creation. So little remains the way I had left it. Tectalus stood still as the mountains behind him, staring at his surrounding with his unblinking eyes. He remained this way even as another approached from behind, not having to turn to see who was traveling through his land. Tectalus waited silently for the being to speak. |
