| Sidestepping the bolt, Cyrus spun around to meet his opponent before being skewered. The blade was going to explode in a few seconds, and for the first time, Vincent had come in for close combat.
But Hawk was ready. Strategists lay out multiple tricks, leaving them ready for various defenses and attacks when the time serves right. If Vincent had been paying attention, Cyrus still had a Charter mark on the palm of his right hand. Parrying the blow, now aimed at his stomach, Cyrus thrust his right hand forward just before compressing his opponent's blade. By doing this, the room the energy had to move around in would be decreased, and the explosion would be triggered sooner than expected. Thanks to the last 'Reflect' mark on his right hand, Cyrus would be unharmed. Vincent, however, was another story. |

| "Practice and imagination differ, my dear," Phoenix chided.
Instead of dodging the odd ice flying towards him, Phoenix flew forward, speeding towards his opponent despite his injuries. By flying with his body parallel to the ground, the chances of a hit were minimized greatly, especially considering that the ice flies away from the demon. This would mean approximately only two or three icicles would be aimed directly at Phoenix. Just enough to cause succinct damage to their maker. As a few icicles neared, Phoenix knew deflecting them all would be impossible. Instead, he swept his blade in a wide arch, catching two and batting them out of the way. A numbing pain shot through his left shoulder, one of the projectiles scraping down the majority of his arm. Phoenix's natural heat would keep the entire limb from freezing, but movement would be extremely painful. Due to Jade's spell, the golden blade of Phoenix's sword froze upon contact. The heat from his hand left the hilt in tact, but that blade was more or less useless. Or so Jade would think. You see, the golden blade of the former Dream King had a special ability. Upon breaking, the blade would reform, similar to the life cycle of a phoenix. Bringing the blade back up, Phoenix heated the ice from the hilt with a quick mental thought, severing the blade. The icicle flew though the air between the two fighters, aimed in the Demon's general direction. Not only would it stab her if she did not move, but there was another effect. Sending a ray of light through the icicle as it flew, the entire spectrum was reflected across most of the arena, towards Jade. Because of this, the blade of light flew harmlessly in front of Hawk as he took a step forward with his right foot, bringing his blade in a downward arch towards his opponent's head. |

| ooc: Fucking cheap bastard. xD The dagger, so strategically placed behind Cyrus were out of the Dreamthing's sight. As he went to twist his body in another attempt of a slash, he found that movement was impossible. No pain, not even of previous wounds. Just the ground rushing upwards to meet Cyrus' face as he collapsed, his paralyzed body unable to hold himself up. Not knowing what had happened, Cyrus stared at the dirt unbelievingly, awaiting some piece of knowledge. |
