In order for it go through the blade, the part of the blade closest to Phoenix would disappear, as light is a ray.

Jumping backwards, Phoenix had one advantage on his opponent. Ash.

And he began to spew it forth, surrounding himself in a large cloud.

This is a training battle for Akwin. In it, I will be teaching her the rules and fundamentals of simbattling, while bending reality.


The Arena was, as usual, empty. However, it was a calm, homely empty. The Arena had changed much since the new era of simbattlers around the world, thriving off of the new life and adventure. One couldn't tell that the smooth, painted bleachers of stone had once been falling apart beyond repair.

Grass also had also sprung up through the flattened dirt, blanketing the soil below like bandages covering old scars. The Arena looked better than it ever had, fitting for the new generation.

Standing amidst this new realm were two figures, one a man by the name of Damion Ace, a great combatant of an age long past. Now living as a wanderer, Damion was once a revered warrior, capable of a great many feats, both magical and physical.

"Greetings, friend," his smile an amicable one. "Shall we continue as planned?"

Damion hoped his trainee remembered to include a proper introduction. Not only does it paint a picture for one's opponent, but it gives life to the character itself.

In this simbattle, Vulkar and I will not be using magic of any kind, just the weapons that we have. He will be using a lightsaber, and I will be using a bendy straw. The victor should be obvious.

BJ was a adult of 18, and he was living life to the fullest in the grocery store. One more idiot in front of him, and he would be at the head of the line. This month, he was sure to win the lottery.

While waiting impatiently in line, BJ distracted himself by looking around, sipping lightly on the Dr. Pepper that he shouldn't be drinking. A few aisles over, a lady was arguing that her coupon was good until next year, regardless of the fact that the cashier noticed she had penciled in over the original date.

If he was lucky, they would break out into an epic duel. Yeah, that would be sweet.

BJ was a bit more than thrown off by the man screaming at him. He didn't even know a Mr. Pibbs.

Even more absurd was the fact that the man seemed to be holding a lightsaber handle, presumably bought in the toy section.

Weirdo.

Focusing on the cashier struggling to price check a bag of kitty litter for the man in front of him, BJ tried to ignore the crazy man. Hopefully he went away.

Dr. Pepper spilled upon the floor as BJ crushed the plastic bottle within his nerdy grip.

"No one, ever throws Kisses at me. Prepare yourself!" the teenager adult shouted in angst.

With a flourish of great skill, the crushed bottle was flung aside with earnest, and the straw of bendy skills was held within his hand, poised for combat.

Cyrus easily stepped below the slash and ran forward, holding up his left hand and reflecting the lightning back at Vincent.

Now, Vincent had been flying towards towards Cyrus, giving him momentum towards his foe. While the lightning bast directed back at its caster would serve as a distraction, the momentum would surely guide Cyrus' stab straight into his opponent's stomach.

Vincent also has part of his sword a solid, and part nothing but light itself. Anything solid has mass, and Vincent had not realized that this had made it difficult to bring the sword back in defense, let alone stay on balance.

Who would be okay with reviving this tournament?

Personally, I tire of using magic all of the time. Sure, it comes in handy, but a good old sword fight is much more to my taste. This tournament is way before my time, but I think bringing it back would be fun.

BJ caught the snicker bar in mid-air and shoved it into his mouth, wrapper and all.

Despite this, he had almost soiled himself when he realized the lightsaber was real. So, he ran backwards, out of the check out line and into the main aisle.

This fight had to be ended before this psycho killed someone...like BJ.

Trying to confuse his opponent, BJ shouted out an pointed behind OB, yelling "Oh my gosh! Is that Ellen DeGeneres?!" Everyone loves Ellen, so the bait was bound to catch.

If OB did look, BJ would run up and try to stab the man with his bendy straw, right in the back. If not, well, he would look like a big idiot.
