| That's weird. But I'll go ahead and post the specs here while I'm making this thread:
For starters, the graphics card has been upped. But at the same time the Motherboard only supports one PCI Express 2.0 slot, which is also compatible with 2.1. I don't need crossfire support nor do I need the extra bells and whistles necessary to get the most out of my games. With the build I am making next week it's more than capiable of running everything I am throwing at it. Also, I will be posting pictures and hopefully a video once it's all done. And once it's done I can finally work on other projects that I am sure will be entertaining to everyone here. (Hint, Fraps) Anyways, here it is! ASROCK 890GX Already ordered at 89.99 (Currently sold out). This motherboard has everything I need to get the job done. Even a few little bells and whistles that are already on the box. Xclio 550W (80 Certified) Power Supply: 550w is more than enough to power anything I need. And then some. ASUS ASUS ENGTX560 DCII Got this one Sale while it was hot for $180. This is a little more powerful and competitive than the GTX 460. Can and will run Starcraft 2 in top benchmarks at 4X AA Ultra at a solid 45 FPS. 55 Average. As long as it can handle it at max settings with ease I am contempt. AMD Phenom II X4 3.2 Ghz ON SALE NOW FOR $114. Normal price for this processor is around $150 I believe, and I nabbed this little baby yesterday. Very very good processor and seriously competitive with Intel. Biggest bang for your buck right here. 4GB RAM Yep. RAM is RAM. Don't need top of the line RAM. ASUS 23" Monitor ON SALE FOR $159, CHEAPER IF YOU HAVE THE PROMO CODE. This is a badass monitor and I nabbed this guy for $138. VGA, HDMI, and Composite cable support and everything. Also supports 1080p visuals. Finally a 500 GB hard drive, Windows 7 Home 64 Bit, and a few extra fans for my desktop. But one little cosmetic thing that I won't say here right now but it's gonna be a surprise. Gave my Computer a female name. And once it's done and the effect works right. It's gonna be the most nerdiest gaming computer ever. | Well, the good news is this:
1- I beat the game. 2- I can finally give my review. You know the saying "Always Bet on Duke"? Well, if you did, you probably lost. Horribly. For starters, I canceled my preorder a few days before the release date because I was already playing it. And I'm extremely glad I did because this game is an absolute disappointment. PROS - It's a Duke Nukem game. - Some of Duke's one liners are pretty hilarious. - The interactivity is pretty fun CONS - Unfortunately Duke Nukem is in the wrong game. - There is more interactivity than actually killing things. You can't call this a FPS if you are not killing things in first person. - This game would have looked incredible in 2004. There are actual sprites in this game. Sprites. A few framerate issues on a badass computer and yet this game still kinda struggles in certain areas. Not to mention the seriously horribad load times. Even on the PC version. - Extremely boring. Read about my FPS statement above - A whole lot of mess and a whole lot of balls. - Multiplayer is a total joke. Please avoid this. Please. The title of this thread is "Always Bet on Duke". Which I did, I seriously was claiming that this was going to be GOTY every year! But Gearbox I feel should have wrote this game from the ground up instead of counting on 3D realms. Instead; what you get is a polished turd and has the name Duke Nukem written all over it. Best way to play this game is this 1- Grab a beer. Alcohol might be important when playing this game 2- Dump your girlfriend. 3- Masturbate furiously when playing Duke Nukem Forever 4- Cry yourself to sleep for playing a terrible game 5- Finally, Don't buy this game. A message to Gearbox: You guys are worse than 3D realms. Thanks for making me lose my faith in Duke. |

| Yeah the first two hours i played I was just messing around and I didnt know you can build your own houses for NPC's to move in. Now that I am a little more experienced I'm gonna make a new file and start from scratch.
Looking at wikis for tips and so far this game is pretty dope. |

| Ok, this game is seriously addicting. And difficult.
I mean you can spend hours on this game and get nowhere in terms of annoying mobs that come out at night and completely dominate you. Or you could wander too far off and just get slaughtered by some of the harder areas of the game. Like the Jungle area or maybe even the dungeon (Both places offer a high chest rate. But we'll get to that here in a minute) I've taken the liberty and there is a very popular and huge thread on SA about this game (Even the creator posts there from time to time) and most of the fans in the thread there has some amazing applications that can help you on your journey. Thread here. But here is a helpful Tool you can use . It's basically a map viewer and it turns it into a simple to see image file and also shows locations of chests and whatnot. VERY helpful program. Some might call this cheating due to the exploration of the game but hey, if you need to find those damn hearts you gotta find them. Heh. Also don't everyone jump out all at once on Multiplayer. I would love to play with you guys. |

Pain...agony... So, everyone knows about World of Warcraft. It's critacally acclaimed to be one of the most addicting MMORPGs of all time and it shows that blizzard knows what they are doing. There is so much to do in this game and depending on how much time you spend on this game there is always something new to see and explore. Lore, Raids, PVP, events, and more. So there isn't much to explain here. But I'm sure most of you know about the previous expansion Wrath of the Lich King? He's dead. And a new monster wants to rule over the world. His name is Deathwing and he likes to fly around the entire world ripping you a new one. Does that mean you play World of Warcraft as well? yes! And I am sure many members here do the same as well! So what is this 4.2 I am looking at in the thread title? 4.2 is basically the patch and thus there is new content to explore. In my opinion it's basically a good time to jump in and play if you have not done so already. Mainly because when this patch hits there are quests to do so you can go ahead and get your hands into some of the raids. Which, by the way, is where the good stuff happens. Not to mention there is a continuation of the storyline. Which right now is the best it's ever been: 4.2 Brings the long awaited return of Ragnaros, a classic Raid boss that was a total bitch and a half back in the day. But now? He is under the control of Deathwing, and believe me, I tried taking him on in the PTR. And he is seriously tough. 4.2 also brings new quests to get some epic gear, a continuation of the storyline, the FIRELANDS raid, new craftable items to strengthen yourself with, and so, so much more. I want to join *This* server! For starters, this isn't about me! It's about who YOU want to join! This thread can also be used to advertise your guild and server or whatnot. | Blizzard pretty much solved the problem with casual players confronting raiders. So they are focusing a little on PVP more for those of us who do not want to down the bosses out there.

| It begins.
Hopefully if there are no RMA parts I should have all of this done by Friday. Work has me working like a dog for the next four days and I am off Friday and Saturday. So I can spend all night on this bad boy playing with the big kids. So i'm excited. Seen how I have to work a double tomorrow (And believe me I would love to work on this until the damn thing is installed with Windows) I'm just going to clean the piss out of the case and just install the power supply and the DVD blocks. Wednesday is when I plan on installing the motherboard and the OS to get it to run, and by Friday morning I'll be rolling with the big kids. Pics to come soon E- Oh yeah, and maybe perhaps I can finally work on my Let's Play project I have been so hyped up about. it just really sucks that it takes 3 days on this computer to compile to HD quality. Which is a total pain in the ass, but whatever. I already have a few episodes I am going to upload soon on a game I have been playing. Showed a few of my friends and they really enjoyed it. But criticism is always welcome. I already have a list of games I will be doing on my profile and I plan on making a general thread once I get an episode or two up and running. Quite possibly the biggest steal of a deal I came across. EVER. I dunno if I linked this in the thread or not but 139 for a 22" Monitor? | One thing about the raids though is that if you play with your trusted friends and research ahead of time. You'll eventually learn that raiding is easy as long as this happens
- You stay out of shit on the ground. - Don't pull off the tank - Healer should never blow his big heals unless an "oops" moment happens. - DPS follows simple instructions. That's it. That's all there is to raiding. When the actual Cata raids came out people were too busy getting gear and instantly learned that you can't just blow up the bosses like you would in ICC. You actually had to have a strategy and a guide that you have to follow in order for the fights to run smooth. Ive downed BWD and Tot4W. It was no simple task and it does get stressful in certain areas. But once you down that boss after many attempts it feels extremely rewarding. Plus Blizzard kinda put Tol Borad there, which is kinda like the "newbie Raid boss". And even added Zul Aman and Zul Gurub, which drops epics. Not as difficult has the raids, but still has the challenge a raid puts out. So once you get up to 346 gear you can easily do these Heroic dungeons and not only continue to get your faction gear, but these drops are -not- as good as Raid epics, but they are still epics and getting the gear that makes up for the gear you can't get unless you get into raids. This dungeon makes up for it. |

| if there is something that should return to this game is the fact that Rob Zombie music should be in this game.
But I know it won't because Rob Zombie came in when EA bought the Twisted metal franchise and wasn't developed by David Jaffe. Thus; it's highly unlikely. But I can say that one of my favorite Twisted Metal games was in fact the Third one...by second place. Mainly because of Rob Zombie and Pitshifter The 2nd one tops them all in terms of gameplay and replayability. The first one is 3rd place, and the 4th one takes the copper! E- Oh and I wasn't a real big fan of Twisted Metal: Black. It was just something about it that I did not like about the game. Fun fact is that TMB is the only game on the PS2 to use 60FPS gameplay. | Don't mind the mess, currently this thread is under construction, and thus isn't final as of June/ 20th/2011
So I have Fraps (Bought. Not pirated) and even software to record straight from a gaming console. I've been watching LP's for a long time now and I feel I can jump into the community and provide good insight and comedy into the games I play. However, as of this moment. There are certain things from stopping me: 1) Compiling in 1080p in a constant daily rotation. Currently on this computer it takes about maybe three days to compile in HD and even so the quality is abysmal because this computer is being a retard. Thankfully this will end this Friday. We already know why 2) Commentary sound quality. Currently, the only microphone I have is my PS3 Eye camera, it picks up sound in the most odd places in my room and thus the vocal quality sounds fine. But the uneeded ambience sound coming from my AC / outside makes the quality a little unneeded. Thankfully, I have a boom mic; it does not work on this computer. Again, terrible audio drivers limit the vocal imput on this computer a terrible 13htz, yikes. 3) Editing software. Not this one isn't really needed. But hey, I like to add a little pizazz here and there. Showcasing music titles, helpful annotations (Let's face it, Youtube annotations are annoying and unwanted), and more. No, I won't be making some stupid "Intro" channel that others use to wave around how big their penis is. But just enough to provide information and possible comedic moments. But this can't be an LP thread without a video! Well, I already have two videos on private on my Youtube. So far from the few that have seen it it's basically positive. But I'm not happy with it. Commentary is fine and all, and it's in 420p, but I just hate the fact that you will constantly hear my AC running and I don't want that at all. So now that we got that out of the way: yes, it's finally coming. Yes, I have some good games planned out for it, and no I am not taking requests at this moment. The only reason I am doing this is I want to work on my speech and possibly reduce my stuttering. Not to mention it might be interesting seeing my gameplay from another perspective. Mainly you guys! So what's my first game? Well, I think it's pretty damn obvious what my first game is gonna be. Everyone of my real life friends knows me for playing this game while they watch it. I pretty much plan on doing every single MGS game on home consoles. Excluding the PSP games (Due to technical difficulties) and extensions (VR Missions, Special editions due to limits, etc) But yeah I am pretty excited about working on this. |
