This donating is so amazing, its better than a Double Rainbow! It's more like a TRIPLE RAINBOW! All the way! XD

But seriously, I'm glad to see the donations going through. Hopefully we can keep Xeogaming for many years to come.

Semi-Official Update

All official updates will now be posted on the Project: BOSS Website and will be linked here. Comments are disabled on the website for now, so just post here with questions, comments, and/or concerns. Eventually, the site will have comments enabled for players, but not for visitors.

Speaking of updates, a new update was posted to the site, so you may want to check it out. It is copied below:

Well, my temporary job is now over, so I will be doing regular updates again. I decided to make a "news feed" on the BOSS site, so I did that just this weekend. I will be working on the items and item shops this week as time permits. I may be getting another temp job near the end of October or early November. Until then, I'm going to get as much done as possible!

The fact that my computer is now the developer server means I can work from just about anywhere. For example, this update and the news feed feature were all created on my laptop while riding in a car...with no internet. Obviously this means that "live" updates aren't going to be common. What you see will likely be a few days behind what I see. This way I can fiddle with things and not break the site for visitors. =D

What he said. From what I hear, we live within about 5 miles of each other. But, I don't think we've ever met IRL.

Maybe we should plan a Xeogaming get-together at a convention or something? That could be fun...

Rule number 1: NEVER learn a programming language from a book unless you have oodles of cash to spare. Everything in that book is online.

Rule 2: You learn best by doing. Go grab a copy of Dreamweaver (trial or pirate) and get some demo HTML samples. Start by fiddling with the code in "split" view to see the changes immediately.

Rule 3: Ask Questions! If you need help, google what you want to do. 99% of the time, you'll get more than 3 different answers, all of which will work.

As a side note, the differences between HTML and XHTML are so incredibly small that almost no one actually distinguishes between the two. Dreamweaver will automatically start you with XHTML, which is actually somewhat easier to work with in Dreamweaver.

If you have any questions, let me know. I am self-taught and follow nearly all of the W3C standards. I have also coded a good number of (X)HTML/CSS web pages.

Demo stuff: Demo 1: Horizontal menu
Demo 2: Vertical menu
Demo CSS: Both menus

Dreamweaver will mess up sometimes and you have to figure out the code for yourself.

You are very correct. However, the newest version of Dreamweaver is fantastic. However, you should NEVER EVER EVER use a WYSIWYG editor for ANY reason. (WYSIWYG = What You See Is What You Get) They ALWAYS result in broken and/or bad code. If anything, use a split view and work on the code with the site changes visible.

I usually just use code view in Dreamweaver and check the progress by refreshing the page in Firefox. This lets me use Dreamweaver's auto-closing tags and other features to speed things up while not screwing up my code.

Also, demos are up!

I use the daily cycle, myself. I like its classic feel. I haven't tried the others in a long time, though...

So I was thinking...There isn't a way to "win" the McDonald's Monopoly game without going to restaurants in other states. Therefore, the horde of Xeogaming should descend upon this challenge and pool its vast resources (we live all over the US and Canada, right?) to win this so called "game" and split the earnings.

Here's how I see it working. We all post what tokens we have, as we get them. If we get a set, we put them together and split the winnings evenly with the participants. The goal is to get the big prize (Park Place and Boardwalk). If we get an item (cruise, car, etc) we sell it or get the cash value and split that.*

Anyway, I hope we can all do this. If we aren't in agreement, it'll cause legal trouble. IF we win, I suggest being sensible and being fair to everyone. What say you, members of Xeogaming?

*If we really want to, and can agree on it, we might just let someone have the prize.

I think Shred-o-Lantern is right, but it sure is fun, eh?

Wasn't Shred-o-Lantern called Phoenix earlier?

Aren't Phoenixes mythical? But, mythical doesn't mean fake, just without proof, right?

Anyway, is this really spam if we make our questions in-depth? I mean, if its all philosophical and stuff, it should be OK, right?

Jeez, I didn't know it was that close. Did you used to live off of 21 mile road? Also, if you add the inactive Michigan we have a pretty good number.

Indeed. I live on 21 mile road, just a bit west of Dakota HS. =D

Edit: I wouldn't be adverse to meeting up in the middle of the US, or in Las Vegas...

THIS

This must happen if it is going to work. I'm not a lawyer, but I think we would need to lay down some ground rules. I'll get to work on them.

As for hiding the thread, I think we'd need a way to keep things under the radar while still being accessible to the members of the board. We could move it to Forum 255 and block that from non-registered users...Or make a new forum for it. Or whatever. I know how to block forums from non-registered users if DS or Xeo want to do that.

I appear to be somewhat of a mystery to some of the users here, so I'd be happy to do this. Also, learning about my fellow Xeogamers would be fun.

Well, if you have some money laying around taking up space, you could go get one! Tame Siberian Silver Foxes are $5950 with tax, shipping, fees, etc. Shipping time is 6 months. They come with all their shots and medical stuff taken care of, including being spayed/neutered. Some are red, others are black, most are gray or white.

If I could afford it, I'd get 2 of them. They are like a blend of cat and dog. Independent, but they love people and are super loyal. They can eat canned dog food for medium size dogs and can be housebroken or litter trained. SOURCE

And this is why I think natural selection should be brought back in to the human race...to get rid of morons like these two...

But seriously, that was really stupid. I wouldn't be surprised if yellow pants broke or compressed his lower back, or got some other major lower back injury. The other guy probably has a mild neck injury if anything. Yellow pants took most of the impact...
