(Points for lateness?)

Where are the guys like this? I swear, good guys are never here. Non-jealous, non-paranoid guys with a sense of maturity and common sense.

GOD, WHY???!

/End rant.

People (And God help us, the future of our condemned nation) think it's ok to be immature, shallow, stupid and careless? Honestly, I'm almost ashamed of being American. We do deserve a horrible reputation, because we're a horrible nation! We (the grand majority, not all) have loose morals (if any at all) and don't really care about the consequences of our actions. I just don't get it. Where did family values go? Hell, where did FAMILIES go? I just don't understand it =(.

*Sigh*

Sorry I have nothing really good to say about this but welcome to reality....This is the way our country went and a few people may have morals..most people around my age dont have any....Families went out the window around 1990 73% of all people married in 1990 got divorced...my parents being a percentage I guess....

As well as mine.

Honestly, then I think that blaming just our country in particular isn't fair. I look at england, france, and most places in Europe, and I see a lot of immorality. Then I look at Africa, and see that they rarely hold a goverment that is long lasting or rules by anything other than brute force. Or perhaps India, where the normal people are starved to death by their leaders. Korea, where knowledge is censored, and people have very few rights. China, where everyone is communist, religion is nearly impossible to spread, and freedom of speech is nearly nonexistant.

The only ones I see as perfectly moral are those that don't have technology. The native australians are so into their religion, that if their tribe's leader points a bone at them and says a certain word, they'll kill themselves simply by their own willpower. Now that's faith.

As for families, blame schools. Think about it, you see a school, the kids are rushed to it and go there from seven until around three, and even then have a lot of after shool activities. Kids only see their parents for a few hours a day. If the parents were to school the children themselves(as my parents do), the family would be much stronger.

And on the subject of money, it's either that or communism, haveing little or no freedom for ourselves. A person I know of went to Russia twice, once when it was communist, once when it was not. When it was communist, they had an old woman sitting back, and giving people the amount of toilet paper they were allowed to use. The man went back later, to the same place, and noticed that they were no longer limiting toilet paper.

I don't know about you, but I say we should have freedom of toilet paper, and capitalism will lead to that.

First and foremost, I don't know about other countries, and quite honestly, I don't give a rat's ass. I didn't post this to be lectured to. Secondly-MONEY WAS NOWHERE IN THERE PEOPLE, SO GET IT OUT OF YOUR MINDS! I WAS NOT RANTING ABOUT MONEY. I'm talking about the good ol' USofA. The people I put up with on a daily basis (God help my sanity.) Not some foreign 3rd world country. Thanks.

That's the irony--you still CAN'T live on $7.50

I make $6.25/hour and my last paycheck was less than $100.00, so there's no way anyone can live off of that. I'm trying to save up what little I make because eventually, I'm going to have to start paying back student loans and it's just not cutting it right now. So I'm all for the increase, I need money since my parents aren't helping me with college.

Living in Arkansas, assuming that's where you're living according to your profile, you can live off of 6.25/hour. If you got less than $100 on a paycheck, it means you worked a whopping 16 or so hours. I made $300 on my last paycheck, for one week, at 7.50 an hour (last week was before I got my pay raise). I've got rent, electricity bill, phone bill, student loan bills, car insurance, gas for my car AND trying to save money, and I live in freakin California. You try that on less than $1200/month. But I concur, I'm all for the minimum wage increase as well.

I'm sorry to hear that you have all that, but that doesn't mean college is any cheaper. The only reason I don't have car insurance, gas, etc, is because I don't have a car or a license, but they are to come soon enough. Yes, California is rediculously expensive, you have a point there. And about me working a "whopping 16 hours", I'm only allowed, by the college's rules, to work 20/wk., so that's really not my choice.
