Hm, I just realized that that was what solved my problem of not having the announcements being marked as read, which was accompanied by something like that but longer. Of course, now that I look, I'm still having the message when I mark forums. I don't think it's that big of an issue though... just click the banner to refresh to the index and it's gone.
