Well, maybe fall before running into a spectator or wall. No streetlights down that street that you could run into.

I'd aim for a bystander...but that's just me.

You didn't realize that little kids have protective powers?

That's why I hold onto Sammy's hand when we're walking anywhere.

not to sound cruel and heartless, but now you know how I feel.

And you had this exact same (well, not exact) conversation with me as well.

So, you've got a few options: stop caring about her and her life, keep doing what you're doing, or become me. The choice is yours.

Well, it has four wheels and a gasoline engine, shakes a lot when stopped, and goes vroom when I press the gas pedals. The left speakers sometimes work, sometimes they don't. The left headlight points off into space while the right headlight illuminates the ground ten feet in front of me. It's dirty on the inside and needs to be vacuumed, and washed on the outside.

He's white and has about 128,000 miles on him right now and needs an oil change next week. Maybe a tune-up later this year, and he's definitely getting new headlights at some point within the next two months. He's Jack, and I love him despite his little quirks.

Or, in technical terms, he's a 1998 Mercury Tracer GS.

Or, you could just list your systems.

Like so:

Panasonic Toughbook CF-27
PIII 500MHz
190MB RAM
20GB HDD
Interchangeable floppy, 52X CD-ROM, 24X DVD-ROM.
Dual-boot WinXP/Red Hat 7.2

Panasonic Toughbook CF-47
PIII 500MHz
256MB RAM
No HDD (Being repaired)
No OS

Panasonic Toughbook CF-45
PIII 500MHz
256MB RAM
6GB HDD
Windows 2000 Pro

Tandy 1000 RLX
286 33MHz
512KB RAM
No HDD (Runs on Floppies)
Dual-boot MS-DOS 5.0/Tandy DeskMate

I'm not proud of my systems, but they do what they have to. And, they're all covered by the "other" category.

The Demon is a personification of my internal struggle with myself, the eternal battle between my ego and the person I'd like to be. And, what I'd like to do if I ever became a world renowned trained assassin. At least, my brain actually functions in that manner, but I lack the physical aspect to actually carry out anything.

Therefore, I write stories. Just posted a portion of the script for the movie version of The Demon in the Story Realm.

The Demon is just a bored and talented guy stuck in a pseudo reality where the videogaming industry has taken off so hugely that his words in the only existing videogaming magazine--FPS--make or break any game. In the game review world, he is god. But, the job gets boring. He's a reviewer. He travels to different game HQs all over the world to play the latest and greatest; then he writes about it. E3 is just another con for him. He's a genius, he's well-off, and he's bored. He's also a well-trained martial artist--comes from the boredom part.

So, at some point, he decided to become an assassin. Started low, working some odd jobs here and there. After a few years, he developed his own style, and only works for certain jobs. He is hitman for the organized crime world. When they need one of their own done in, he's their man. He's pricey, but he's efficient, and everything is always routed back as an accident. Not even the best CSI teams in the world could mistake any of his work for intentional.

Still, he's bored nonetheless. And, recent word of a copycat rival has sparked his interests. Friend or foe? Only the story will tell.

This is a quiz, and is not meant to accurately diagnose depression. Do not take this thing seriously. Only a doctor or psychiatrist can accurately diagnose a presence of depression, that said, here's me:

DisorderYour Score
Major DepressionVery Slight
DysthymiaSlight
Bipolar DisorderModerate
CyclothymiaVery High
Seasonal Affective DisorderSlight
Postpartum DepressionN/A
Take the Depression Test

I don't feel any symptoms of depression, so I take these results in stride. Just a thing to do. Click on the names of the disorders for more information. I'm gonna go play viderogames now. Yes, videro. Damned smileys not being disabled...

Yes, I'm taking Japanese. In college. Well, not now, since I'm working on my degree coursework, but I used to speak semi-fluently. I lose it since I don't use it.

Languages I know:

American English
British English
Castillian Spanish
Latin American Spanish
French
Canadian French
Italian
Japanese
Mandarin Chinese
German
Klingon
and, recently, Simlish

Occasionally, I use it to call Sajin an idiot.

Posted on 04-18-06 05:38 PM, in New technology could prevent you from bypassing TV commercials Link
Philips wants to patent a series of new technologies that embed a digital signal that new TVs would respond to. You'd be unable to fast forward through commercials, or for that matter, change the channel or even turn off the TV short of unplugging it. While this may be great for advertisers, don't they realize we can still just walk away?

Watch this:

Notice no traffic lights, and everyone just moved with a hypnotic fluidity. Pedestrians, bicycles, little three-wheelers, motorscooters, cars, trucks. Wow. Watch for a white car that goes the wrong way up down the street, and a pedestrian that momentarily gets caught up in the traffic.

I mean, this is almost like driving equated to an elaborate martial art/dance. We freak out here when the traffic lights go out.

It helps to read the article. Since it's tech already built into major TVs (all brands), if it passes, it'll more than likely affect all of us.

I gots me death wings:

Yay! By the way, I'm wearing the suit to work today without the wings. Today, while walking around the house, my wings knocked over:

A plastic plant, a DVD player remote, a cup, a DVD case, and almost got stuck in a closing door. I also scared the neighbor's chihuahuas.
