| I heard somewhere that the MGS for 3DS is a remake of Snake Eater with 3D, but I didn't know if that was true. The new Goldeneye isn't really Goldeneye since Rare isn't making it. It's just using the name to get people excited. | |||

| It's all because sports are seen as "cool" and science fiction, comics, etc. is seen as something nerds, which is stupid. Also, on the topic of athletes get paid too much. It's because they generate so much revenue for their teams and for the city and because there's only one Tom Brady or one Mark Teixeira and teams will pay top dollar to have players with their type of skill on their team. | Nintendo will probably won't make a new franchise for long time because they already have established franchises that they know are good and people will recognize the characters and buy the game. Microsoft press conference was terrible. They showed of more of the EyeToy 2.0 and showed some Gears of War 3 and Fable 3. Sony's press conference was really boring so I didn't watch all of it. They talked about Move forever, showed off Killzone 3, brought out Kevin Butler(which was hilarious), then they announced a partnership with Coca-Cola that made no sense. | Pretty much just talk about the World Cup in this thread. US created a ton of drama today as usual by scoring in the 91st minute and moving on to the round of 16 for the 1st time since 2002 and winning their group for the 1st time since 1930. Uruguay, Korea, Ghana, England, Germany, Argentina, and Mexico have also advanced past group play. The rest will be sorted out in the next couple of days. | |||

| The Blackhawks trade Dustin Byfuglien, Brent Sopel, Ben Eager, and a prospect to Atlanta for a 1st and 2nd round draft pick. The downfall of the champs has started.
Edit: NHL awards were handed out. The big winners were Ryan Miller (Vezina), Henrik Sedin (Hart), Duncan Keith (Norris), Dave Tippett (Adams), Alexander Ovechkin (Lindsay), Tyler Myers (Calder), and Pavel Datsyuk (Selke). | All cartoons should be kept as drawings and never made live-action. A The Animaniacs movie doesn't sound too bad and I would like a Star Trek: TNG movie if JJ Abrams did it, but a Back to The Future remake would be terrible. It's one of the greatest movies of all-time it doesn't need a remake just re-issue it with enhanced special effects and in HD/3D. | |||

| This is a game I hosted a long time ago and it was a lot of fun so I decided to start it up again. Here's the skinny:
Players guess a 5 letter word. (and correct spelling is important when doing so). After each guess, letters that are in the word and in their correct position will be bolded, and letters that are NOT in their correct position, but are in the word, will be italicized. Proper names are not considered words and will not count. Also, making a guess that isn't considered a word will result in a loss of one point. Guessing a word correctly on the first try will get you 3pts. Two points will be rewarded if its guessed afterward. Also players can sacrifice one point to get a personal hint messaged to them. You can't get a hint if only 1 letter reminds though. Don't make a guess if there are still four pending; this will result in your guess being ignored and a point being deducted from your score. Every once and a while I'll throw in a 5-10 letter bonus word. But letters won't be bolded to show if they are in the correct spot or not, nor will they be underlined to show its even in the word. These are worth 4 points if guessed right. There is no end to this game...yet ( I may set a amount later), so players will just try to get the highest score possible. | Title is pretty self-explanatory. What's your favorite game in the series? Mines a toss-up of A Link to The Past and Ocarina of Time. LTTP was perfect for the SNES. The four face buttons made it easy to switch through and use items and to do various other things in the world and the light and dark world gameplay was fun. OOT was the first 3-D Zelda game and was revolutionary and one of the best games of all-time. A honorable mention goes to Link's Awakening DX and Wind Waker even though it receives the most crap out of any game ever. | |||
