Wow, it's been a while since I've added much of anything to the forums, let alone to the photo album! Here's a few pics of me from various photoshoots. I've been doing freelance modeling for the past 4 years. (Mostly because contracts aren't my thing - I like doing what I WANT to do!) So here's some more recent pics of me! :3

(please note: Most of these pictures were HUGE and originally in HIGH RESOLUTION. If they look fuzzy, that's because they've all lost a bit of quality when they were converted to files types that are more web-friendly. Also to reduce file size and make it easier to post them, some have been re-sized or cropped.)

Yeah, I really have no idea where I should post this... but i figured the "Otaku Lounge" was my best bet. If it needs to be moved, go for it!

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

As of summer 2009 I've been part of the staff for a new anime convention called Anime Detroit. It's in its second year now and I've been promoted twice since it's start, from general staff to Artist Alley Department Head, and again to Head of the Events and Panels Programming Department. With two very large departments under my command, this year's convention will be hectic, but very much fun, I'm sure! As things stand now, we have a pretty full schedule already and each day I find myself adding in new panels, events, photoshoots, etc. along with a great bunch of other stuff. We have some great guests coming, too.

HOWEVER! The real reason I'm posting this is because I'd like to share the con with anyone who'd like to come. I've been inactive as heck for a good while, but have recently rediscovered my adoration for forums (mostly because I run the one for Anime Detroit.) If anyone from Xeogaming is interested in attending Anime Detroit, I'd really like to know! I'm always excited to meet new people, but I'm especially excited at the idea of meeting interweb friends in person - and being able to enjoy a convention with them, too!

Obviously I don't know who's located where, and I really don't mean this as advertising. I'm just hoping to use the idea of an anime con as a good place to meet people I already know or will hopefully know shortly. I have been away for a while, and there are so many new faces! It's still great to see all the old friend, too! Katana, Rouge, True Flight, Elara, Kaijin Surohm, White Rose, Leon D. Sagara, Evo... the list goes on and on and on! ♥

So I really hope that, if you're interested and/or live in the area, you check it out. If you do plan on attending, or even think you may want to come... please let me know! I'd like to meet anyone willing to stop by and say, "Heya!"

Nah, I'm still breathing... and I will be for a while yet. I also have an ego big enough to crush your petty assassin. I'll eat them for breakfast with a nice tall glass of 2% milk.

Nice to see someone responded though. How're you guys doin'? How've you been , Stitch?

Oh, yeah... Sorry about that! I added the links to the website and the forums, but the layout for Xeogaming doesn't seem to note them as links unless you hover the mouse over them. So here's the urls:

Website: www.animedetroit.org (has all the info on ticket prices and the hotel info, too. There's also a rough schedule up, of which I will be host a good 75% of the things listed. Ew. Hahha!)

Forums: www.animemotown.com (We still have pretty low forum numbers because it's the same idiots posting one-liners or spam and so many people with utterly horrid grammar/spelling! *cringe!*

In general, this is probably one of the cheapest anime conventions I've ever seen. Even as a double-dept. head of staff I'm still like, "dude! WTF?! It's only that much monies?! Sweet!" (And I get all my shit free... kind of. I work my ass off for it, really.) The pre-reg. price for a 3-Day badge (ticket) is only $25 and the hotel rooms are only $79/night. Aka it's all dirt cheap. X3

And Katana, I missed you! ♥ I'm glad to see at least someon'e happy I'm still alive. X3

An interesting character design, indeed. You're obviously fairly familiar with Norse Mythology, since you've used some of the general terminology. Aside from the nouns mentioned in the old myths, do you know much Nordic Gaelic? I'm also very curious about your reasons for creating a character based on Norse Mythology. I understand why one might choose Hel on the left and Asgard on the right... by why such an obscure reference to Mimir's Tree down the back? Is the character specifically aligned or allied with any gods? Was he inspired by ant particular gods?

Posted on 05-27-10 11:02 PM, in Sheenka Link
Name: Sheenka

Deity: Hextemptol (Aztec Sun God, associated with the sun, summer harvest or corn and maize, and death.)

Age: He doesn't bother to count years because it makes him feel old. Was born around the time of the construction of the Pyrimids in Giza, Egypt.

Race: Chaos Child - 4th Child of the God of Chaos

Genealogy:
Father: Chaos (God of Chaos. Duh.)
Mother: Itzpapalotl, Aztec demi-goddess, queen of night/star demons and daughter of Huitzilopochtli, God of war, the sun, and patron of Tenochtitlan.
Siblings: The other Chaos Children and (though he doesn't really consider them related) the Children of the Goddess Law are his half-siblings, too.

Sex: Male

Appearance:
Eye color: Yellow
Hair color/style: Black/long, hanging loose to lower back. Two braided strands on right side on bangs. Messily-cut long bangs parted to the side.
Height: 6'8"
Physical build: tall, lanky, but muscled. Feet similar to a raptor's, with talon-like features and a sickle claw on both inner toes. Hands and fingers slightly resemble talons and fingernails are narrow 3" claws. Ears point to the side and back at shallow angles and are roughly 6" long. Each ear is tipped with a black spike-like horn that the upper cartilage of the ear is attached to, though the horn continues past the ear, growing about 7" long. Another set of 8" spike horns grows from the sides of the skull, just above the ears and angles slightly back. A third Set of black spike horns, 9" long, grows slightly closer to the crown of the head and also angles back. A final set of spike horns grows 10" long, nearest the top of the head (about 2" apart) and also angles back. The slender horns form what loosely resembles a spiky black crown emerging from the same dark shade of his hair. 6" long tail covered in thick whips of black fur with irregular spots of multi-colored feather growing along with the fur.

Tattooing: Intricate black Jaguar spot design tattooed down the vertebrae of his spine. Red spiderweb design on eyelids (looks like red eyeshadow.) Thick black outline under eyes, that goes past the tear-ducts and down the sides of the nose, stopping just before the curve of the nostrils. Three small black circles starting at the inner edge of each eyebrow and going in progressively smaller in size (large, medium, small) to the arch of each brow. Single black line from hairline to tip of nose that bisects his face. Squared-edge spirals on each cheek, starting at the ear and following the jawline half-way to the chin, then angling upwards, peaking at the cheekbone and spiraling counter-clockwise over the lower cheek. Three thick black bands around both lower arms starting at the wrist and ending just before the elbow. Three similar black bands around ankles, ending mid-calf. Mayan art style tattoo of the Quetzalcoatl on his lower back. (Tramp-stamp? Yup.)

Piercings: Three serpentine stone studs pierced through the bridge of his nose, starting between the eyes and ascending along the tattoo lines to just above the nostrils. Left ear is pierced with three studs and three rings, each made from various stone or carved from kapok tree bark. Right ear pierced and laced industrial-style from tip just before earlobe with strands of jasmine vine. Both earlobes gauged about a size 0000 (about 1/2" hole size) and held with bronze gauge rings.

Jewelry: Simple bronze ring on his right finger. Necklace made of various stone and wooden beads with a small bird's skull as a central pendant hanging over his collarbone. A Gris-Gris braided from golden thread and human hair, decorated with small tied-in bones and feathers. (The Gris-Gris sometimes acts as a channel for sacrificed souls and aids in Necromancy. It demands a blood sacrifice be fed to it in order for it to channel or aid in any way.)

Backstory: Born as the 4th son of the Chaos God and an Aztec demi-goddess, Sheenka (known by the citizens of the sacred city of Tenochtitlan as their deity, Hextemptol) was exiled from the rankings of the Chaos family because his mother was not the Goddess Law and thus his existence was unbalanced and he posed a threat to his younger siblings, who had Law's blood as well as their father, Chaos's. Sheenka left the realm of Chaos and his siblings behind and accepted exile shortly after his younger brother, Xeden (who had a human mother) was also exiled. He spent years exploring and searching for his brother, and in so doing met his mother (whom he hadn't previously known) when she was first being worshiped as the Night Queen by the early Omlec peoples. It was his mother that began to teach him about his heritage and the Mexica Pantheon he was descended from. She is also the one responsible for first teaching him the basics of Necromancy. After the sudden death of his mother at the hands of his older brother, Sayn (the first Chaos Child) Sheenka left the mountainous southern region and made a new home in the rain forests along the banks of the Amazon River. With the fall of the Incan Empire, Sheenka again moved norh, away from the dying villages. Soon after, the Aztec Empire began to take form around a large lake upon which a sacred city was constructed on thousands of woven mats of floating reeds. With the rise of the city, Tenochtitlan, Sheenka became known as one of the city's protective deities and was regularly offered human sacrifice. Vain and greatly appeased by blood, Sheenka grew instantly fond of eating human hearts. Because cannibalism was a daily occurrence and had been since the Omlec people's reign, accompanied by the massive number of people sacrificed in his mane, Sheenka became fery fond of the taste of blood and human flesh. But most of all, he was amazed at the concept of death. With all the corpses let to him, he quickly gained more and more experience building off of his mother's teachings of Necromancy. By the time the Aztec Empire expanded far into the North American desert, Sheenka had mastered several forms of Necromancy and preferred the mindless corpse dolls he kept to any living company. It wasn't until the first of the Spanish Conquistadors came to the continent that Sheenka was pulled away from his newly acquired hobby. Upon the arrival of Cortez and his troops on the outskirts of Tenochtitlan, a young Aztec priestess named Mtolta came and begged Sheenka for his aide. Sheenka was amused enough to help and conjured a deadly fever to strike the invading Spanish troops. To his delight, this provided many more corpses for his amusement. With the Spanish momentarily halted, Mtolta went to Sheenka and asked him to marry her and together create a new empire on the backs of their would-be invaders. Intrigued, Sheenka entertained the idea or a short while before growing bored of Mtolta. Another priestess, Xlrn, had been wanting for years to prove her dedication to her lord, and finally decided her chance was at hand. While Sheenka was amusing himself once more by biting at Mtolta, Xlrn grabbed the other priestess by her hair and dragged an obsidian dagger across her throat until she'd jaggedly decapitated the other woman. Ecstatic after watching Xlrn's presentation, Sheenka instantly proclaimed her his lover. At Xlrn's request, they moved away from the city and north into the American desert. They spent years amusing themselves at the expense of local tribes, until word of the Spanish occupation of Tenochtitlan reached the area. Furious that the Spanish had destroyed the city, Sheenka rushed back to his old home. There he was met by Syn, the same brother that had killed his mother. Sayn had led the Spanish troops out of the forest in which they had been lost and to the gates of the city, even using his inhuman charm to persuade Montezuma, the city's ruler, to allow the Spanish inside. With Tenochtitlan destroyed and most of the Aztec people dead or enslaved, Sheenka was surprised when Syn mentioned his reason for helping the Spanish was to draw Sheenka to him. Sayn informed Sheenka that he knew the whereabouts of his long-lost little brother, Xeden, but refused to disclose them unless Sheenka agree to become his lover. Sheenka, still desperate to be reunited with Xeden even after so many years, reluctantly agreed and abandon Xlrn to the ruins of Tenochtitlan while he joined Sayn and traveled back to the Old World across the sea. After being at Sayn's side for a decade, Sheenka had become find of him and had begun to give up on finding Xeden again. After traveling with Sayn through the remote villages of Transylvania, rumor of someone whose description was eerily like Xeden's caught Sheenka's interest. He abandon Sayn and his false promises to once again look for his brother. Finally, after nearly year of searching, Sheenka literally ran into Xeden in a small Romanian village as his brother was jokingly fleeing from a girl he'd teased. Upon being reunited with his brother at last, Sheenka set out to rebuild the city of Tenochtitlan, bringing Xeden with him. After returning to the former Aztec capital city, Sheenka suffered a harsh reunion with Xlrn who ad, in hopes of one day being reunited with her love, used what she'd remembered of Sheenka's Necromancy to try to make herself immortal. instead, she'd killed herself and trapped her own soul in her body, even after death, thus animating her rotting corpse. Seeing that she'd suffered for long years waiting with feeble hopes to see him again, Sheenka found a rare streak of mercy and used the amplifying powers of the Gris-Gris, fed by his own blood, to renew her body and convert her into a vampiric ghoul. Relinquishing his control of her, Xlrn was able to go back to being somewhat normal, since her soul was trapped in her body, offering regenerative capabilities so that she didn't age or start to rot. After staying with Sheenka and Xlrn in Tenochtitlan, Xeden revealed to Sheenka that Sayn was the one who had been hunting him with a promise to kill him. Sheenka remembered Sayn's deep hatred for humans and recalled that Xeden's mother had been a human peasant woman. Sayn, being the proud First Son of Chaos had promised Xeden he'd delight in killing him in order to wipe his mother's human blood from the family tree. Upon realizing that Sayn had not only tricked him, but had nearly killed his beloved younger brother and left several scars to prove so, Sheenka was enraged and swore that he'd kill Sayn himself.

Powers:
-Has a massive number of 6" poison-tipped needles that are easily concealed in both his clothing and his hair, where they can be laced through braids or knotted loosely under layers of hair.
-When fighting, he makes use of the claws on both his hands and his feet, especially his raptor-like sickle claws.
-His tail with the long wisps of hair and feathers is slender and can be whipped to the sides fast enough that the long trails of hair at the tip act like a whip.
-Because he's a direct descendant of two very powerful gods, he's strong enough to bench-press a truck, though brute force isn't usually his style.
-Very familiar with how a person's body works (probably from all the years of eating them.) He can use his nails to hit several pressure points, if he's able to get close enough.
-Necromancy. He can easily animate a few hundred corpses, though that also depends on how old the bodies are. He cannot fully animate and control a body until three days after death. His Necromancy also works with non-human and animal creatures, though with deity-level creatures, it's sometimes hard to control the subject, even after they're long dead.
-Can change into a feathered black Jaguar Chimera creature, but can only hold the form for about three hours at a time.

Oh, man! I love designing OCs and I'm planning on making several of their outfits, too. I've become much more obsessed with cosplaying OCs instead of licensed characters, mostly because I like making my own creative outfits. Heck, I don't think I have ever drawn any of my OCs in the same outfit twice... unless you consider naked an outfit. Then maybe I have. X3

I really like the outfits for both Mirru and Zero that are pictured above. I'm hoping to design something nifty for Xeden and Gabrial this year's Anime Detroit. Xeden's shirt will be black with lots of zippers on the front and red ribbon in a corset lacing through rings down the back of the shirt. Black cargo pants with lots of pockets and ties, and some knee-high white combat boots. I'll probably also do some nifty makeup and pierce the heck out of my ears... maybe braid the wig so that those will show better. Gabrial's will be a more uniform outfit. I'm using several military uniforms, especially those from the Civil War and WWII to design his outfit from. I find it ironic that the two colors that will be used for the outfit are grey and blue. Civil War history, anyone? X3

Zero's outfit will be black pants held together by belts and a black zip-up vest, similar to the bulletproof vests worn by the FBI in design, ut with a higher collar. I'll probably have my left eye wrapped with gauze for the cosplay, since he's technically blind in that one. Irony (again) since I'm also nearly blind in my left eye.

I'll also be doing a street-style version of Sheenka's outfit that won't be as detailed. I've made the outfit he's wearing in the pic before and used it for a Halloween party a few years back. I won first prize, but since I was going up against a bunch of shitty store bought costumes, I figured that was pretty unfair to everyone else... especially since there were 3 Alice's from Alice in Wonderland and a bunch of generic costume store faeries. I donated the prize, since it was a party organized to help a local charity... and since I'd helped pick the charity, I was happy. Thus the prize monies went to the local animal shelter. ^_-

And... Here's some more pics for you all to say "oooh! ahhh!" over! ♥

- - - - -
Pic of Xenny (Xeden) having loads of fun finger painting with Edward Cullen. This was done mostly because I hate the "twilight" series, and because Xeden needed a new something to be morbid with.

This pic was a photoshop doodle, which is why it's only colored in flat, ugly colors instead of all spiffy and pretty. The character is Kuba, a kelpie (faerie water horse) in his human form. He's mindlessly sitting there, munching on a doll while probably daydreaming up something warm, screaming, full of fear... and much more tasty. In case you're not familiar with them, kelpies are faerie horses that live in lakes, swamps, bogs, etc. (unmoving water) and drown and eat children. Yum!

Since I've recently gotten back into playing D&D with Garrett and some of his friends, I've made several Drow characters. This is another one of them. (Zero's a albino Drow, but he's far older than any of my other Drow characters.) This is Kaundynuul Diersusx (pronounced: "Candy-nel Deer-su-six") aka "Candy." (I'm sure he'd just love being called that. ) He's the cousin to my other Drow character, Rune (whom I've drawn, but not scanned yet.)

... Last pic (for now!) This is Kyoji Winter, my blue-haired slut. Er, I mean... I adore him and he's just so cute. Sure. Actually, this pic is pretty out of character for Kyoji, who's an incubus. He's not normally this... big-eyed. I don't know what really happened... I did do it at 5am after staying up for two days straight. Maybe that's why it looks all screwed up. Maybe. I do like how the shirt came out, though. I rarely use digital coloring... so I'm happy with that part at least!

- - - - -

Also! Some tips for Katana... and anyone else, I suppose, since you're reading this anyhow.

- I've been using Prismacolor markers and I've found them to work very well. The only thing I've found that's superior to Prismas is Copic markers. Both are pretty pricey, though. Prismas are slightly cheaper, and since i donn't have to monies to invest in a set of Copics yet, I'll stick to my Prisma babies!
- For inking, I use micron pens by Sakura Arts. They come in a good number of sizes and have recently started coming in several new shades as well. For the basic ink jobs, I'd recomend just a size 0.5mm micron. They're measured in the size of the diameter of the felt tip of the pen. A 0.5mm is the standard size. There's also a 0.8mm which is great if you don't have very many detailed lines. If you find that you have some very detailed lines and are worried about inking the details properly, their smallest size that I've found to work reliably is a 0.005mm... aka freakin' tiny! X3
-While investing in a sketchbook is a good idea sometimes, you may also want to think about using a clipboard and regular computer paper. Computer paper is much better with micron ink, though it tends to bleed a little more with the markers. Another helpful tip is this: do not use either Prismas or Copics with Sharpies. Your colors will bleed together and look like crap. Prismas and Copics are alcohol-based markers. So are Sharpies. They colors will want to blend together... but since their ink is made very differently, they'll bleed together in blotches and look like EWWW on your paper. That's why god gave us Microns. they don't bleed when used with markers.

Well, I hope that helps! I'll post more pics soon, too! ♥

Katana! Don't do it! I loves your pretty hair! ♥ If it gets too crazy for you, my friend, Mike, had hair the same length and color as yours and he thought up something nifty... why not cornrow it? It worked, too! He cornrowed just the sides and pulled it all back into a ponytail. It kept it a lot more neat, and washing them is easier that it seems, since you just basically scrub over them with soap and a bit of conditioner. It really helps with personal maintenance, and cornrowing isn't too hard. Have a friend do it for you if you need to. It's actually a lot like having a bunch of mini french braids along your head. I definitely suggest trying something like that before you cut your beautiful hair! I'm cursed with short hair, since mine starts to fray and get all wirey and nasty if I let it grow out too much. I keep it nice and short and i like it, but I have a great jealous adoration for people with long hair. Lucky girl!

If you do end up cutting it, though... try either donating it to locks for love or selling it. Human hair wigs are coming into style in several subculture rings and I've seen the price tags... ouch! They're pricey, but it's because people sell their hair as the raw material used to make them. If you do it right, you can find places that will pay a good deal for your hair.

Oh, Katana! i adore you for so many reasons! X3

Your sharpie story reminds me of a similar experience I had. I found out the hard way that some markers that look black are actually really dark red, blue... or in my case, green, purple... etc. It's hard to have a character with red eyes when the "black" marker scans in as a dark green color. That, and since my old scanner's lamp sucked butt it scanned lighter in some areas and darker in others. Ew! By the time I looked at the fully scanned drawing, Xeden's eyes looked like freakin' Christmas decorations. Again, EW!

We learn from our mistakes, though! ^_-

DrowningPheonix, I'm so happy to hear you like Zero so much! ♥ What specifically do you like about him? *Is hungry for opinions!*

Here's a few more pieces of eye-candy for y'all. (And yes, I'll get pics of my pretty cosplay soon, too!)

Lithium is one of my OCs. He's Xeden's "other half" that helps keep his powers in check and keeps him stable. Without his tie to Lithium, Xeden would slowly devolve into a ravenous monster without the ability to speak, even. Lithium was originally paired with his brother, Sayn, the first of the Chaos Children (Lithium is a Child of Law) to balance Sayn's powers. Sayn hated being limited, so he tried to tear Lithium apart. The result was sayn breaking his ties to Lithium (though he retained his normal form, since he'd consumed enough of Lithium's blood to do so - almost killing Lithium in the process!) In this pic, Lithium's pretty much as Sayn intended, though this is him long after that. His right wing was torn out, and his eyes were gauged out. After he lost his sight, he became the Goddess Law's Oracle because he traded any hope of having his sight back to have divine intuition. His prophacies are never wrong, but Sayn (having heard that Lithium was the Goddess's Oracle) cursed him so that he cannot speak a word about the things he sees, only hint at them. Poor Lithium!

Another pic of Lithium (older)

The original concept piece that, much later, became Zero!

Zero's half-brother, Novocain.

... Enjoy! ♥
