On a whim, I decided to join Xeogaming Since Xeogred's a pretty awesome guy
Yeah... I guess I didn't think this thread out too much before I decided to post it... That's pretty much all I had to say... Edit: Oh yeah, here's a good thing to say. My interests include sim-battling (Ugh. I hate that term, incidentally. I'm so used to calling it RPing, or RP dueling ), and, like, um. I guess other stuff, probably. Oh yeah. I have a passing interest in television I find entertaining (animated or live action, though strangely mostly animated... But not too much anime). And there are quite a few CCGs I like, though obviously there's no CCG forum here in which to discuss it. Bah (Last edited by Kyouji Craw on 05-29-05 01:24 AM) |

I dunno, I guess I'd hop one one leg for a klondike bar at the most. Nothing too drastic, y'know. Despite what the ad campaign would lead you to believe... They're just not that good.

Well it's not like this is the first board I've ever been to, heh. But everyone seems friendly here, and I have yet to encounter anything I despise, so I believe I'll take a liking to this place, actually.

It actually does connect more often than you'd think (That is to say, more than never), because if you're fighting someone good you in no way expect them to actually try it (thus making it more likely to hit).
Oh, and I want to see Meta-Knight. |

How. How the hell can anyone not wear underwear? Guh. It's really uncomfortable to be not wearing underwear and it just feels wrong

Here here to wizzrobes being bastards.
But really, the most annoying enemy for me has to be the final boss of Ikaruga. You can't do anything for the entirety of the match, so you just have to skilfully dodge everything. First time I got to it I was so panicked 'cause I had no continues left and he quickly reduced me to my last life... I only barely "won" that fight |

Two mostly unrelated things.
1. Who does your friend play as? 2. The fact that you do something akin to bragging about beating level 9 computers pretty much proves that you're not particularly good. I mean, it took you three minutes to beat it, and you took damage? That's terrible |

Post editation! Improved clarity!Originally posted by RYjet911Well the thing about that is that Link sucks. A lot. His spin attack is one of easiest things to avoid in the entire game, and all his other moves are projectiles. Bad projectiles, too. He's also slow and his attacks are not particularly strong, and their range is not particularly good. So really, if your friend plays Link as his main character, there is a 99% chance that he is not particularly good. He could be, like, really fricking awesome and that's why it's okay that he plays Link but the chances of that are really low. Fox is good but I judging by what you've said so far I don't think you are. (Last edited by Kyouji Craw on 06-07-05 03:51 PM) |

Xeo: No, I mean Link. Young Link at least has stunning fire arrows and a decent speed.
Clockworkz: Just shut up please I didn't start anything. RYjet was the one throwing out the bullshit here - I just said he wasn't as good as he thought, is all. There's nothing wrong with that and there never will be. |

Name: Kyouji “Kagami” Craw
Age: 27. Gender: Male. Race: Human. Physical Description: Kyouji is a half European, half Asian male about 6 feet tall with long, very light blue hair. (The reason for his hair color is that about once every week, he dyes his fair a very dark blue and then bleaches it, removing all but the faintest of colors.) His hair is draped over his right eye in five long strands, completely obscuring it. He wears a blue long-sleeved undershirt and black pants, both made of Kevlar to greatly reduce damage from physical attacks as well as to withstand most of the heat Kyouji generates. The undershirt cuts off at about five inches above his left elbow, though it is of full length on his right arm. He also wears a very, very stylish black jacket with gold trims and a thick collar. The jacket hangs down to about three inches above his ankles. There is a gun holster sewn to the right side of his pants around the waist area, and he has a deep pocket on the left side of his pants; both of these are generally hidden from view by his jacket. His shoes are black running shoes; there's nothing particularly special about them. Personality: Kyouji is a very happy-go-lucky person. He does what he does because it's fun, and he likes the thrill of wandering aimlessly through life, searching for nothing in particular. At the current time, Kyouji has settled down with his wife, Mae Demetel Craw, but he will still periodically venture off, passively seeking fights. Additionally, Kyouji is very style-conscious; I'll elaborate that in a more appropriate section, however. Magical Abilities and Limitations: Kyouji has the ability to generate heat and flame in his left hand, and the ability to manipulate and sustain flame he's already created with his mind alone, though this control fades greatly the further away from him it is. Kyouji uses this ability both to throw projectiles of flame and to build superheated flame barriers to protect himself (and incinerate anyone foolish enough to try penetrating it). However, while projectiles (particularly beams) are easy to maintain as they require no direction after being fired, such barriers are far more difficult and strain Kyouji - this will be discussed in more detail in the special techniques section. Also, flame has pretty much no effect on Kyouji's body. Physical Abilities and Limitations: Kyouji has a surprising amount of muscle, as he's trained his body to withstand the recoil from certain magic attacks. As a result of this, Kyouji is fairly strong, though not extremely so. He's also very agile and can move at a speed well above that capable by an average human, even when his speed is not augmented by his flame. Weaknesses: Kyouji's reliance on his speed and his usage of magic allows his stamina to be easily disrupted by physical blows. Though he does a very good job of managing his endurance, physical blows take quite a bit out of him, and while his armor is very good it does not completely absorb the force of such attacks. Additionally, his armor offers no protection for his feet, hands, head, and everything from his elbow down on his left arm. His last weakness is more psychological than physical – that is, he often limits himself in combat because he is so style-conscious that he will periodically not to advantageous things because they aren’t “cool.” Equipment: Kyouji carries a customized revolver with one chamber more than normal (for a total of seven chambers). He carries 70 cartridges with him at all times, including those in the revolver, for a total of 63 spare cartridges. As armor goes, his armor is his clothing; as previously stated, his undershirt and his pants are both made of Kevlar. Regarding amulets and enchanted items and things of that sort, Kyouji doesn't have any. Miscellaneous Oddities: First, Kyouji is ambidextrous and can aim his gun just as well in his left hand as he does in his right. Despite this, he uses his right hand for everything in order to keep his left hand free, because that's where he generates his fire magic. Second, he is NOT modeled after myself, as you may have assumed. Kyouji Craw was the name of the first character of mine, (this incarnation of Kyouji, however, is vastly different, from the first, though the character design is roughly the same) and I used it long before I adopted it as my screen name... I picked it because, well, I had been using it for a long time prior and had grown somewhat attached to the name. It seemed kind of natural to use it after I had felt the need to get a new screen name. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Special Techniques: Burst Pocket: Kyouji uses his limited control over distant heat to accelerate the molecules in a pocket of space, heating it and causing a small explosion contained within it. High-level organic matter disrupts this process, however, so it can’t be used as a directly offensive attack; it can, however, be used to slightly manipulate the terrain or send certain things flying with the force of the explosion. Flash/Illuminate: Kyouji generates a weak flame in his left hand and heats it greatly. Though it’s not particularly effective as a direct attack, it lets off a blinding flash of light to throw foes off balance, and can generally be used to illuminate darkened areas while hardly expending any energy. Blaze Beam: Kyouji keeps his left palm open and generates a constant stream of flame in his left hand without any attempt to control it, which makes it very easy to maintain. The force of this causes the flame to shoot forward with such concentration that it forms a wide and quite visible deep red beam of flame, shooting fairly quickly towards whatever. The force of this generally knocks Kyouji backwards if he does not assume a stable stance before using it, a feature not found in its variations. Kyouji often points his palm behind him and uses this as he runs to greatly increase his speed. It can also be used in tandem with his jumping in order to send him very high, or just generally give him bursts of speed in order to dodge stuff. Blaze Fist (Blaze Beam variation 1): Kyouji keeps his left palm closed and does pretty much the exact same thing as he does with his Blaze Beam technique. As the flame doesn’t really have anywhere to escape to, it compounds itself and the heat expands outward through the hand, rapidly heating to an extremely intense white flaming aura about a foot and a half long. Anything that approaches this aura gets burned, and anything that touches it is simply incinerated. This is technically Kyouji’s strongest offensive technique, but he usually doesn’t use it to directly attack because it requires he be close to his opponent. Blaze Laser (Blaze Beam variation 2): Kyouji keeps his left palm closed with the exception of having his left thumb between his left middle finger and left ring finger without his thumb contacting his palm, thus causing a small gap between the aforementioned fingers. In this gesture, Kyouji does the same thing as with Blaze Beam. The area where the flame escapes is extremely small and focuses the beam in to a very concentrated area, projecting blue flame far more hot than that in his blaze beam in what appears to be a laser (hence the name of the technique). It’s much more precise and powerful than his blaze beam, but it affects a much smaller area and must be more carefully aimed. Flare Wall: Kyouji presses his left hand against something solid (generally ground though anything, even his chest, can be used) and generates a strong heat. Since there’s not really anywhere for flame to go, it does what stuff generally does in situations like that – it explodes a little. Kyouji uses this force to accelerate the growth of the flame, keeping it dull enough so it doesn’t burn his precious stylish clothing until it expands past him, where he shapes it in to a protective hollow sphere of flame around him, heating it to the point where anything that touches it is incinerated. Like all his techniques, this all happens very quickly and it takes almost no time to actually create, though unlike his other techniques this manipulation of heat takes a lot of energy out of Kyouji and he generally only uses it when he doesn’t have time to concentrate a flame on a more specific point around him to stop something or when he’s using it in tandem with his blaze beam to accelerate himself and the sphere of flame around him at someone like a rocket, a technique he doesn’t use often. When he does use his flare wall as a defensive wall, he generally only leaves it active for a second or two to avoid wasting energy. Flare Bullet (Flare Wall variation): Kyouji does what he does for flare wall, but instead of concentrating it in to a full protective sphere he only concentrates the energy in small area in front of him, using far less energy. He then points his gun at this area and fires, discharging a bullet in to the area which is of course incinerated as it reaches it, leaving a burning shockwave in its place traveling just as fast as one of his bullets in order to burn a hole straight through whatever it comes in contact with. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Name: Mae Demetel Craw Age: 28. Gender: Female. Race: Human. Physical Description: Mae is a Caucasian female about 5 feet, five inches tall and is about 120 pounds. She appears to be rather thin and constantly wears a happy expression regardless of emotion. She has deep blue eyes and very short brown hair which is swept back but still slightly sticks out in a sort of spiky look. Her nose is shorter than normal, as are her ears. Her neck is disproportionately long, as well. Upper body-wise, her arms are extremely hyperextensible and appear to have about an average amount of muscle to them. She wears a long-sleeved faded blue shirt with 2/3 inch faded light blue trims, the sleeves of which end over long skin-tight white gloves. The shirt ends just below her hips and folds outward at the end as a result of the white sash she wears, which has over time faded in to a very light gray. She also wears tight-fitting black pants which have clearly faded quite a bit with use, simply appearing as a dark gray. Her shoes are white running shoes. These shoes look oddly out of place considering that they appear to be new and are not at all faded. Personality: Mae is extremely arrogant, and in battle she’s quite aggressive, though she’s quite protective of what she views as close to her. (A rather two-dimensional character, to be fair, but then there ARE people like that out there ) Magical Abilities and Limitations: Mae has a high level of control over electromagnetism, and is capable of generating a massive electric charge which can be dispersed in various fashions. Physical Abilities and Limitations: Mae is extremely fast and has extremely fast reflexes; so fast, in fact, that she's capable of dodging bullets with ease. Because of her light body, however, she doesn't have much defense, though she can fight for a long period of time if she avoids injury due to unnaturally high stamina. Weaknesses: Very, very weak physical defense, and she wears no armor. Equipment: Mae carries a two-handed polearm with a four-foot wooden shaft. The wooden shaft itself is hollow, and has an iron rod surrounded in gold running through it to the blade, which is heavy, has a length of one-and-a-half feet, and has a slight backwards curve to it. It is constructed so that vast amounts of electrical energy can be channeled through the gold layer inside it in to the blade, and then discharged from the blade. On the back of the blade, near the base, is a small pointed end that serves as a hook. Mae wears no armor and has no sorts of special items. Miscellaneous Oddities: None. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Special Techniques: Lightning Pulse - Mae draws an electric charge out of the ground and channels it outward in all directions, causing a massive, visible wave of electromagnetic energy to rush through the air in all directions. It travels very quickly, but loses power as it goes along and is completely absorbed into the air after traveling about twenty meters. Plasma Wave - Mae slowly builds up an electric charge and releases it out her right hand in a wide purple beam towards whatever. In the middle of it it’s really more white then purple, but then gets darker on the edges. So kinda how you’d expect it to look… Not the most awesomely detailed attack I’ve ever written up, to be fair, but then it doesn’t really need to be and you get the idea Vast Cutter – After generating an electric charge, Mae channels it through her polearm, discharging the energy from the tip of the blade as she performs a slash with her polearm. The effect of this is that a vast, extremely thin blade of electrical energy is expanded outward, burning through whatever it touches with such precision that it would appear to have been cut very finely. Hence the name. Which is totally not stolen from BeyBlade GRevolution though pretty much entirely different outside of said name. Thunder Crash - Mae creates an extremely high amount of energy and channels it back into herself. The effect of this is that there is extremely little energy lost, and it creates a deafening roar of thunder to unbalance foes. |

They're just as strong in their key areas, but they're strong in different areas. Marth's sweet spot is smaller than Roy's, and most people who aren't very good are far more likely to hit from closer, so it seems to people who aren't very good that Roy is a great deal stronger. For an experienced player, however, Marth is easily the better pick since he can deal more damage from further away and he's a great deal faster. |

That hardly counts, though. It's obviously a case of a really poor animation budget. |
