Until there are more ( or any ) people that have been diagnosed with cancer due to Soda alone, I am not to worried. However, I don't see anything I drink on that list anyway.

3:30 PM today I had my driver's test. I show up at 3... and must wait for my actual time. My mom and I played hangman. Went through check in and then waited in test line. More hangman. I get this old white guy who looks like he should be in a old barbershop quartet. He has little personality, but he was nice... though he sounded serious even making a joke. It was 4:30 at the time my test began.

4:45PM today, I am issued my paper driver's license until my actual one arrives in 2 to 4 weeks. I had only 8 errors.

That's right people, I can legally drive now! Hide yourself while you still can. I have to wait a bit more so we get the insurance stuff taken care of, so you have time.

I just recently took the written test, only got one wrong. Really dumb question too, will never gorget it.

" If you and a large truck are on opposite sides of a 4 way intersection, you should ... "

1. Know that trucks make wide turns
2. Signal to them to allow them to go
3. Some bullshit answer that can't be it ( not what it really said )
4. Just like number 3

I picked number two, because thats what I would do. Who the hell does not already know trucks make longer turns.

Anyways, congrats, although with gas at the price it is now, not the best time for anyone to just get there license. =/

The fact remains that if someone was holding a gun to your head, and demanding you to burn the American ( or any countries ) flag, just because you do it for self preservation, would not make you "Un-american". Your not doing it to insult anyone, and its not meant to be some political view. If anyone knew the reasons of why you did it, I am sure they would not care. Only those extremists would be offended that you chose the desruction of one of the millions of American flags produced over ending your own life.

And well ... those kinds of people ...

That really doesn't make any sense.

Simple, for more money. Many users out there love Mac computers, but do not want to learn or get used to a new operating system. Many Windows users are to familiar with Windows applications to want to switch.

Don't listen to Syntax, it works just fine for making layouts. Macromedia tests anything you make on a browser you have installed on your computer ( I.E., Mozilla, Opera, w/e. ), so you can test it out in any browser. Once you get better with it, you know what is garbage code, and what is not.

This is often the case with many people. WoW is more "instant gratification" then FFXI is. FFXI you could take all day making and gathering material for Saruta orange juice, where WoW is much faster paced.

I play on a PvP server called Bloodscalp. If any of you ever decide to play on this server ( and choose to be Horde), just find me. My character name is Enyulan, and I have 2000+ gold.

Enyulan - 60 Rogue - Epic Mount
Holysheet - 60 Priest - Epic Mount
Gunshow - 60 Warrior - Epic Mount
PieandChips - 33 Shaman - Ghost Wolf form
Pootytat - 37 Druid - Travel form
Mcmanstick - 32 Warlock - No mount

( This game has ahold of my soul. )

Edit: I did not realise this thread was that old, I apologise if this bumping pisses anyone off.

But your wrong.

During your work you have an option of 'Previewing' it in any browser you have installed. It will save the page to your computer, and show you how it would look in any browser of your choosing. Not just showing you in Dreamweaver.

I tried looking as hard as I could, and I am a pretty good wiz with google. All the old java applets I use to use do not work.

I would suggest finding a way to download a client like Miranda.

Posted on 08-26-06 08:58 PM, in Mac vs. Windows Link
I would say get a Windows computer.

I have owned, used, and created shit for Macs, Linux, and Windows. On all three, the software seem to be roughly the same. Example. Without using WinE on Linux, you could not use Photoshop. But GIMP does everything Photoshop can do, and it's open source, works perfectly on Linux. So music, video, and photo editing should not be a factor in which one you choose, as there is software on all of them that work quite well.

Security, if thats an issue for you. Again, I have ran all three, and Macs are very secure. But is that imporant to you? Having run all three for well over 4 years now, I have yet to get a single virus on any of them. If you know what your doing, you should be fine in this department. You deside if this is a factor to you.

Games. Windows whomps all other OS's. Not to say they all could not preform, but there is a much bigger selection on Windows then any other. Plus, most of the big title games are made for Windows only, but there are a few thats multi-platform.

Thens theres familiarity. You said you were more familiar with Windows. Do not underestimate how much this matters. Going to Linux this would be an issue. One that you could overcome, mind you, but it would take a little time. Macs are a little different as well, but they are a lot more user friendly then Linux.

All in all, like I said at the top, I would get Windows. You are more familiar with it, more software and even hardware are compatiable with it, as well as the games.

I always loved getting into it with Vulkar. I"m not use to seeing people with intelligence on the side of religion. But anyways, lets keep this debate fired up.

In the above quoted text, I would love for you to explain why god felt is was necessary to kill (in the great flood) people who have done no wrong, such as unborn or newborn children. What about the faithful church goers? The priests and nuns? Surely not everyone god killed was evil.

I always found this thought to be disturbing, and have asked many believers this question. Generally they cop out with either "God seen the person they would become" and even once got "God just knew what he was doing". And you can obviously fall through the holes in that logic.

I personally think if there is a higher power, he/she is in no way (or only in the most vague sense) affiliated with the Bible. There are too many inconsistencies in the Bible, and largely due to it being written/interpreted by man.

I am glad this guy got fired.

In my opinion, the only thing worse then racist people, is the minorities that bitch and flip out at racist people.

1. Racists are dumb.
2. Getting bent out of shape because dumb people insult your ethnic background is more dumb.
3. Keeping racism alive because it gets under #2's skin is by far the most dumb thing I have ever seen.

If a bully is insulting you, the worst thing to do is to show him it hurts your feelings, he will end up doing it more.

Hillary. For two reasons.

1. It seemed to me she pretty much ran things in office when Bill was in there.
2. I liked Bill's term in office.

Sorry for the bump, but possible useful information.

Cable internet should always automatically connect to the internet when plugged in. It requires no software, just a Ethernet port for you to plug the cable in to.

After plugging your cable into your laptop, restart the router and/or cable modem. Make sure to hold the reset button down for 15 seconds.

If that does not work, it could possibly be your Ethernet card. Update the latest drivers in your old one, or purchase a new one.

After all that, it has to work.

omagawd, two words for you.

Star Ocean. By far the most extensive RPG to date on the SNES, you just won't be finding it in English. Always emulators though, they have patched versions of it every where.

Having the criminal lean in to you face to face, not being able to see anything else, puts him at a huge disadvantage.

Think I would apprehend him/her then.

I can't not touch my toes, but I can put my legs behind my head.

Guess there are just certain ways people can not bend.
