| Well, the last thing I saw in theaters was "Terminator 2: Judgement Day" in 3D. They did a pretty great job converting it. Being Brandon's favorite movie, we had to see it opening weekend, of course.
There isn't much I'm looking forward to this year after the new Star Wars or the Justice League movie. Yeah, it'll be opening weekend for those. |

| Being an only child, my family is pretty much my parents, Brandon, and me.
If we're talking extended -- my dad has a brother and his sister recently passed away. Their father (my grandfather) is the only grandparent I have, still alive. My uncle has four kids; my deceased aunt had two and I haven't seen either of them in many years. My mom has two sisters and a "brother" (I say this because I was fairly recently apprised of the fact that there's no way he could biologically BE my uncle.) Sister #1 has two daughters, one has three children. The other will never marry. Sister #2 has two sons. Neither one will ever marry. Wait, I take that back. The older married his boss' Russian sister-in-law to keep her in the country. My "uncle" has three step-children. It's my mother's sister's daughter's (Mom's favorite niece) family that we're still well-acquainted and whom we visit up in Sacramento. Her kids, being college age now, sometimes drop in while on road trips. Do you believe in ghosts? |

Fuck that I just got a bill for $45 for an urgent care visit I had last month. I paid it all off while I was there. $60 copay and everything and now they're claiming I owe them more. The $60 covered part of the $180 treatment fee and my insurance only covered $80 and now they want me to pay the other $40. WHAT THE FUCK?! The $5 was for a lab test they did during the visit. I got home and tried to call them and billing was already closed for the day. It's not like I can't pay $45, but it's the principle, and what's more, is my copay suddenly $100 now?! Christ, I'm also just so broke right now. I'm living off my credit card and my paycheck is not enough to clear down the balance completely lately. |

| I technically don't, being an only child, but my cousin started having kids when I was 10 and now they're in college. Yup, I watched them grow up, though they live on the other end of the state and only see them occasionally.
Brandon's got a niece and a nephew (and possibly one more, we're not sure yet. Whenever the paternity test gets done. *shrug*) The first two live up in Washington, but they'll officially by my niece and nephew after the wedding. As for Prime, the only thing worthwhile is "The Man in the High Castle." Otherwise I just reap the benefits of free two-day shipping. Random fact: My dad's favorite author is Stephen King. My mom says I was named for Jesus; Dad says I was named for the car. |

| Depends on if my mom and I are carpooling. She's part-timing these days, relatively near where she used to work full. If we are, she gets dropped off first. We have to leave by 7:15 and we usually get to her work by 8 or 8:15 at the latest. I then have to get to my work and clock in at 8:30 (after 8:37 and I get docked.)
We're looking at an hour plus to get to work. It's about that much or more if I just drive alone straight to my work. What is your favorite adult animated show and why? |

Seriously, a month? I've been fairly out of it for a few weeks. I have such bad anxiety regarding .... well ... EVERYTHING. It feels like the world has completely gone dumpster fire. Yesterday, while having lunch with my clients, we heard an air raid siren go off. I tried not to visibly panic in front of them, but in my mind I'm screaming, "WE'RE ABOUT TO DIE RIGHT NOW!!! NORTH KOREA DID IT!!! GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE!!!" I took out my phone, texted Bran, "I love you," and then continued to sit there. |

| Fuck whoever stole my goddamn pumpkin from our center's community garden plot.
I've had a week in hell, I'm not sure if I'll still have a job next week (I fucked up and scratched a van by backing into a lamp and didn't use my spotter when I was supposed to -- it's a technicality, but a fire-able offense), and losing our last viable pumpkin was just the last motherfucking straw. The pumpkins were my babies and the clients really enjoyed growing them and seeing them get bigger. Otherwise, fuck all these mass shootings. Fuck that Tom Petty died. Fuck that the best radio station in L.A. is going from classic rock to Christian music next month. Fuck that another clique has started up at work and they seem to hate me for some reason. Fuck that I can't seem to do anything right. |

| Congratulations on making this distinction in your life. I know a few trans people, several of whom have had their surgical transition, others have not but still identify as another gender.
Thank you for trusting us enough to come out to us. I'm sorry to hear about your parents and it's all too common for them to not understand. They want what's best for you and fear for your well-being. It's definitely not easy walking the path you are on, even as far as we think we've come as a society. We are here for you. |

| True story: I was eating lunch with my clients a few days ago when an air raid siren went off in the area. I just stared into the middle distance, heart racing, very sure that we'd been nuked and I was about to die.
I pulled out my phone and texted Bran that I loved him. He texted back an animated gif of a corgi twerking with a heart on its fluffy butt. With the high anxiety that I feel almost constantly these days, paying any attention to this ongoing saga of shitty international relations is just making it worse. |

| I've given up many things over the years. It's been a really long time since the last time I got rid of a lot of personal things.
Often times the things I'm getting rid of I just given away to friends. I'm honestly having trouble remembering things because I usually sever the connection and feel better about losing the thing when I give it away. What more comes to mind are all the places I used to go with my parents that are completely different or just plain gone and I miss them. What forms of social media are you hopelessly addicted to? |

| Well, it worked out. I'm on REALLLLLLY thin ice for at least a year, but I have my boss to thank for keeping me off the radar for a while before telling the vanpool guys.
Seconded on the racist pricks. Fuck that it's gotten to the point that George W. Bush has come out of his happy retirement of painting portraits of veterans and swearing to not get involved in politics to come out against all the bullshit going on in Washington. Fuck that there's so goddamn much misinformation and people fucking believe it. |

| My weekends through a lot of November have been ear-marked for multiple things. I'm enjoying keeping busy, but it's also the realization that I can't do everything that I want to this fall.
I mean, my dad's birthday is Nov. 12. I was already planning on hitting up the Dressed to the 9 3/4 Harry Potter event happening at Universal Studios, but now Lee's birthday party is the same day.  Oh god.
This weekend is when we're doing the Oktoberfests and maybe the apple valley again. Next weekend we're doing the Halloween things in the San Fernando Valley. |

It's just that I'm surrounded by people who mention going through depression on their Facebooks. Most of the time it seems like they're meaning that they're sad and eventually move on. I don't mean to mock another person's mental illness, but that's pretty much how I'd come to view depression. You announce publicly that you're sad, accept all the attention in the form of praise and love from your friends, and then just come out of it. I kept going, "Heh, not me." I'm constantly overwhelmed with feelings of hopelessness, helplessness, unworthiness, guilt, indecisiveness, irritability, and high anxiety. I didn't really acknowledge these things within myself until recently when I finally admitted the anxiety out loud. Several doctors I've seen for physical reasons, over the years, have told me I should look into psychological help and I just shined them on, saying, "Oh, no, I'm FINE!" and in my head going, "Hahahaha, I'M not CRAZY, stupid!" I've also finally admitted to myself that I've been VERY good at putting on the mask, specifically for clients. I go all out on Spirit Days and on every single one of their birthdays, getting super excited for them, and helping them deal with things, but acting like I've got it all together. We pretty much have to act like it's Disneyland and not let on what's going on with us, personally. Of course, this doesn't stop many of my co-workers from spilling every single detail of their lives and their family bullshit whether you want to hear it or not. |
