Buffs would be RPG talk for something that they do not do.

They essentially channel spirits and such into their bodies. They use them as weapons or as guides, to become the warriors of their past. They can channel the power of a god they are strongly affiliated with to make it their own etc. etc.

Leon kept a cocky smile about his face as he spoke. He was certainly beginning to enjoy himself. "Desin, you think you're right? This thing about kinetic energy, you think it will matter? Do you honestly believe, that when in a fight for life or death, that reversing kinetic energy will make the difference." Leon stared dead into Brad's eyes. Some guy came into the store one day, normal fellow, nothing special, nothing standing out about him. He's walking around, asks us the price on some stuff, then comes up to the counter. He says to me and my manager, "you guys wanna hear a funny story?" We're being polite and say yes. He starts off by saying, "Ok, uhhh, I shoot Coke(Cocaine), and my buddy was talking to me the other day, real cool guy, he goes "Hey, if you let me shoot your gun a couple of times I'll give you a bag of coke." I say yes because I've known him for a while and have let him shot it before, oh, the gun was legal and all, in my name and everything. So this guy turns to me just after I give him the gun and holds it to my head, says "If you don't give me the rest of the bullets, I'll blow your head off" So, I give him the rest of the bullets,g o home and call the cops. They picked him up a few hours later without my gun. The next day I see his cousin and his couisin comes up to me and goes "Hey, my cousin got picked up because of you!" and I go "Well, just let him know that if he brings me my gun I won't press charges." S I start walking away again and he follows me home, I get to my door and he shouts out "Actually, I got a better idea" And BAM, shoots me grazes the side of my head." At this point the guy points to just next to his ear where there's a deep gash that was treated and healing. "I just got out of the hospital today and after I go home I'm not leaving my house for a few days. The doctor said I shouldn't be driving...especially with all the jack daniels and coke in my system, that's what I shouldn't be doing in the first place. Well, off to shoot some more fellas. Bye." me and my manager just looked at each other and commented on how ridiculous this situation we're in is. Some crazy shit happens down at Gamestop.

Leon awoke abruptly almost an hour before there was another soul awake in this house. The dream still fresh in his mind, Alden had been beaten that badly, same with Jeremy and Eric? Surprising. Leon once thought them tougher, but now no more. Leon knew that his fight against Josiah had not gone too great either, but at least his defeat was in a one on one situation, three on one and losing that poorly was pathetic. slinging on a tight black t-shirt and walking out the door in his dark blue jeans, Leon was determined to not allow something like that to happen again. He pulled his sword from it's sheath, and detached the shard, hanging it around his neck. He pun it in his hand, the sword feeling light to him. At once he spotted a rather large tree. His bare feet patted across the grass, making little sound. The weather was cool and the air was brisk and satisfying. Taking the sword in both hands he swung once, striking the tree at eye level. He shook his head, and began assaulting the tree from every angle for a good hour. He was zoned in on his target, Josiah must die. The tree, having taken a severe beating looked rather pathetic, about to fall over, slice marks all across it and going deeply in. He removed the shard from his neck and attached it once more to his sword, the shard's properties kicking in, and he lightly swung at the base of the tree, separating the molecules and splitting the tree in two with almost no effort. Leon deactivated the shard and as the tree gingerly began to topple over, he sent a powerful jump kick into the front of it, knocking it backwards and sending it tumbling down a gentle incline.

Hair and clothing covered in sweat, he returned to the house. He pulled his shirt off as he entered, being able to stay warm in such a place, his muscular chest and jeggeed scarring showing. Many other scars were visible, located almost sporadically placed each having a different tale. "Holly, you want to be trained now, or you wanna sleep forever."

uhh, Spartan, sorry if he rubbed you the wrong way, but in all honesty, there's a good reason behind this. It's going to be a sort of training thing for a defense force for the planet Terra. Easiest way to say it is, his character is going to be training us, and my character is going to have a really good reason embedded in the story for being powerful. But do not fret, all of you shall become more powerful, just at the beginning we want everyone to start out on absolutely fair ground.
