Posted on 05-22-07 06:22 PM, in Amazon selling a bootleg as the official Sailor Moon boxset Link
The Amazon retail website in the United States has removed its listing for the bootlegged version of the Pretty Soldier Sailor Moon Sailor Stars anime series. Amazon had listed this unauthorized item for half a year as "Sailor Moon Sailor Stars: The Complete Official Boxset." After ANN's first news piece and reader feedback, Amazon then changed the listing's title to "Sailor Moon Sailor Stars: The Complete Bootlegged Boxset" last week before removing it entirely Monday.

but i'm sure you know that already from ANN

they get their lottery names from ppl who are reg to vote, and ppl w/ drivers license. so if you dont have either, good job

i was gonna go to my first baseball game, and i dont really like baseball, cause my dad had free tix's. and i was gonna go w/ a friend who was into baseball. then jury duty called.

i had to call in for an entire week, so i cancled the game, and they didnt need me after all. so the gods have decided that i shouldnt like baseball afterall

but yeah, you only get paid if you show up to court, ect. not if you do the phone call part.

this is what i've noticed about people after HS

A) real college (knows exactly what their path in life is, or at least somewhat)
B) go to community college (is undecided about life, but is willing to give college a try and see where it goes)

C) military (is undecided about life, but hopes the military can help them straighten up. or at least, get major cash, in the meantime. or even lured by recruiters by the promises of government grants, ect for college, which in reality is really hard to accomplish)

D) something random (family business, stripper, acting, something weird)
F) let's not talk about them

C unlike B are braver or more stupid, which is why they join the military. Many people go with their friends. Like my brother who joined the service with his friends. or other ppl i know who are in community college with their friends. C & B are in the same boat in life, but C will eventually drift downwards because of time (you're wasting your prime years in the military, instead of at college, where you can easily stablize your life, and income later). after the military, you'll have to go back to college to get a decent job, unless you stay in longer because of your promotions, or you actually like that life. if the latter isnt true, you're really behind in life. B will eventually catch up to A. however, many B's turn into D's or F's if they can't stablize.

for C to get to A, he'll have to either go full force into the military, gaining promotions, maybe even officer rank, or wait till his contract's expired, and go back to school as a B, then becomes A, or join another paramilitary service ( like law enforcement) thus gaining A status.

Posted on 07-09-07 06:14 AM, in Transformers was wow. ROLLOUT Link
i saw it last night at the 11:40pm veiwing w/ friends after work. i made $27 in tips that night, and i spent $30 -.-' it was straight after work, so i was starving.

i bought their combo, which is 2 medium drinks, 1 large popcorn, and i added nacho's for a discounted $3, instead of 6.

now, no one told me that, a combo, really isnt a combo, because if you'd buy'em seperately, it would all equal the same. i was too retarded to do the math, while in line for a good 15 min -.-' $4.50 for one soda, $4.50 for the second soda, and $7 for the large popcorn, and $3 for the "discounted" nacho's, which turns out, is a differerntly smaller nacho than the regular. the way they had things written, should be illegal. it was like, instead of $6 for the nacho's, if you buy a combo, you get it for $3. which is great, but noooo, that nacho's totally different from the $6 nacho. so WTF should i buy a combo, to get a discounted price on the $6 nacho, if it's not even the $6 nacho?! WHY SHOULD I BUY A COMBO, IF I CAN GET ALL THAT SEPERATELY FOR THE SAME PRICE?!

so $11 for tix, and $19 for food.

next day, i get heartburn, because i ate so much junk for dinner

but back on the movie, i dunno, either i was really tired at midnight watching it, or it wasnt that good? some of the fight scenes, especially the last one, dragged on too long =/ i didnt really pay attention much

Posted on 07-09-07 06:19 AM, in Differences between an anime and the corresponding manga. Link
it's usually different because the MANGA, and the ANIME, are made concurrently. as in, the MANGA's not even done yet, and there's already an ANIME. plus, if everything's the same, then there wouldn't be a reason to have DIRECTOR for the ANIME. so to gain recognition for something they didn't create, or had anything to do, except for being assigned the job as a DIRECTOR by the ANIME company, the DIRECTOR chooses to go a different direction. but most of the time, it's because the MANGA's creator isnt done w/ the MANGA yet, and the ANIME'S already caught up, so they have to make up BS stuff

anyways, those arent grades. they were bullet points in letter form, and has nothing to do w/ where you'll go in life. it is merely a focial point of where you currently are in life. those higher, know where they want to go, or have an idea of what they're future jobs will be. those lower, will only take longer to find themselves.

i'm not trying to start an argument. dont look for one. the first thing i said was "this is what i've noticed," which means, they are opinions. i am basing this on my experiences with people i've known, both in and out of the military. i'm not trying to convince you to go, or not go. you can do w/e you want. honestly, i dont see why you're up in arms about my "opinons."

straight out of high school are the best years of anyone's life. it should be spent somewhere constructive and meaningful. if you're planning on going to the military because you dont know what to do in life, you're better to spend it finding yourself in college. unless you wholeheartly want to have a career in the military, then it really isnt something you should do. there's financial aide, and scholarships up the ass everywhere. but w/e they're just opinons.

i wanted to post this like two weeks ago, but i couldnt find any good articles online to post a link to so i gave up, and hoped rogue or someone else would've posted it, and here we are

but regardless, this judge's a dee dee dee -.-'

"The judge had also ordered the ban in Safi's first trial, which ended in a hung jury in November."

go figure, a hung jury the first time... i wonder what'll happen this time -.-'
obv the jury cant reach a decision, because even they wont know what the case is about, with all the restrictions on words.

i dunno about #9...#7 & #10
1. its not spandex i dont think. it's regulation military pants that fits, with a type of gym shirt underneath the colored vest. and you really dont have to wear it. l can count at least 3 characters who are starfleet personals on the ship who do not wear it, but sometimes do (different series of course).
2. there's money. i've seen them use it tons of times. how would you deal w/ the ferangi? ;p

as for 10, im sure your sliding doors are made out of glass. these doors are solid metal and other junk ;p

#7, seatbelts would mean there are seats. there's like 2 or 3 chairs on the bridge lol. everyone else stands all day =/

you make a lot of points, and to a degree i agree. however, those points are moot in the use of drugs.

age of consent is on a regional basis, based on the ruling religion, and hundred years of social tradition. it is a "social issue."

marriage too is based on the ruling factions of the political majority. it is a "Social issue."

Drugs however, has long long been decided by almost everyone to be a "bad" thing. medical uses can be a "good" thing. the only problem is the regulation of drugs. when you make something illegal legal for another use, those who would want to abuse it illegally will come crawling out of the woodworks offering higher prices. again, it is hard to regulate this. that's the underlying issue. not state rights =/

so yeah, it doesnt even count =P

i dunno, when i was discussing some stuff relating to federal and state laws with my friends, they were pretty ignorant about things. like, they thought that states had more rights than federal laws =/ that the state constitutions overceeded the US constitution =/ oh wells...

i'll throw in more useless info. the articles of confederation was mostly written by ben franklin. it went under when because EVERY state had their own form of currency, which was bad, because the facevalue wasnt usually what it's worth. moreover, there was no centralized army. the central government couldnt even make an army. they can ask states to send X amounts of army men, but could not enforce them to actually do it =P

i always figured it was like that. but now that i think about it... when you are dissatisfied about your ruling in a lower court, or believe the decision was wrong based on something you can appeal to the higher court. that is, if the higher court even wants to listen to your case. capital offenses in cali are required to be taken to the supreme court by law, if all options has been exhusted.

but anyways, for a particular case, and if it applies to other things, the supreme court makes a decision, which would put "preceedence." but what is "preceedence?" usually the lower courts will uphold the ruling to other similar cases. however, are they REQUIRED to? i think it is just a tradition to uphold preceedence, but im not sure if there's a law to uphold it, otherwise a wrong preceedence cannot be overturned based on something in the 1920's lifestyle put into 2007?

I'm a big Jackie Chan fan.

Actually, i thought the first one wasn't good. I questioned why they made a second movie really. However the third one was by far the best of the three. Given, the ending was quick, and the movie could've been longer, the chemistry and jokes throughout the movie made it awesome. The french guy added some spice

the part that bothered me, was when the chinese lady (the bad one) towards the ending, says "I've got a secret," then dies two seconds later, kinda left us wondering wtf...?

that Gyromancer card is unplayably bad. It costs 4cc for a 1/1. The first sacrifice ability isn't worth it. sac him to make a spell (or more, but more times than nought, it will be one spell) cost 1 less is bad moreover, the second sacrifice requires you to sacrifice it before an opponent plays a spell. you can't sac it in response. So basically, you may or may not sacrifice it in vain =/

but man, awesome pic finds

this is pretty interesting actually, considering just only a couple weeks ago, as i recall, some two 8yr old boys were "raping" other 8yr old boys in the bathroom in the ass. One of the fathers say it was just kids being kids, as they didn't know what they were doing was wrong. I could kinda see that, like if they didn't know it was sex, it could just be boys messing with one other i guess?

I guess when a girl is involved, it's criminal =/
