Yeah, music bootlegs. The albums that were recorded without consent of the artist, but generally help more than they hurt. Who know's of any bands that put out good bootlegs?

I haven't heard many by other people but the best bootlegs from anyone I've heard so far have got to be from Bob Dylan. He's got five (technically seven, but one is three bootlegs in one with 53 songs on it) albums considered bootlegs, three of which are live shows, the others just rare recordings/unreleased material. I've got two of the live show albums, 1966, probably the most famous bootleg from anyone, where he played a rock show in England when he was expected to play folk, and 1977 where he teamed up with numerous other singers he met on streetcorners... plus Joan Baez... and went on a bitchin tour in the northeast. He dressed sort of like a rodeo clown AND made a movie.

But, those are the only ones I've really heard. Does any other band put out any good bootlegs?

I dunno who COULD beat RAY... other than, you know, Raiden... but he's a bitch, a fake Snake, nobody likes Raiden... but that's not the point! RAY was able to blow up the world... or was it Arsenal... anyways, RAY could blow up cities, and devestate the world. I mean, its like David and Goliath, except for this time Goliath is non biblical and realistic and actualy does win.

Shit. That probably hurt more than it helped. Don't blame me, I've never even seen Morrighan! Heh heh... I'm digging my grave deeper... oh wells.

"Shoot those that are coming IN, John's got the ones on the inside!" Wiley shouted to the people doing the actual work. If he couldn't do anything about these villains, he could at least try to point them in the right direction.

Kirabo began shutting the door upon John's command. Slowly enough for the car to get out without closing it too slowly.

"Kirabo, wait for John!"

Kirabo threw the door downwards and simotaneously turned back into the fox form. He slid under the door, a hair away from being slammed between its metal edge and the ground below. He padded quickly just behind the ever quickening tires of the car.

"HEY! DO SOMETHING HERE, I CAN'T JUMP THAT HIGH!"

"Oh damn! Why did that happen? Here!"

Wiley used a nonsignificant ammount of energy to form Kirabo from a fox to something, anything small with wings. He hadn't a clear picture in his head; in the heat of the moment, it had to be whatever it became.

With luck, Kirabo flew into the back, a white fluttering mass the same size as the fox form. He landed on the shoulder of Wiley's chair.

"Well, you can think on the fly, but from the looks of it..."

"Oh wow. That might not always have the prettiest outcomes..."

White was an odd color for bats, things usually thought of as darker. It held similar qualities as that of the fox; rather large ears, the rainbow eyes. His leathery wings and body was lightly covered in whitish fur.

"You just get weirder and weirder."

"Change me back, now that we're moderatley safe..."

Thats why his stuff is called bootlegs, cause they were all originally recorded by either the places he's played at without his knowing (or he did know and didn't mind) or by himself but never chose thought of putting them on record (a 1960 recording of a song in a Minneapolis hotel technically isn't a live show).

His first 1-6 are actually bootlegs, he bought the rights to them and decided to sell them, which I think was a good idea, since they're all the best things I've ever heard from him. But, number seven isn't really a bootleg per se, its got some recordings that were on TV, on record, other things. It's sorta... bootleggyish... but more of a soundtrack to his documentary No Direction Home. He's kinda got a serires thing going, where he calls certain albums bootlegs. Dunno why. They are all mostly live shows, but he calls them bootlegs. Now that you mention it... I dunno why they're called bootlegs still... he's got live albums, and then bootlegs...

Anyways, those are the only ones I've heard. I haven't heard any from anybody else.

Tiny Tim!

Do you guys like Tiny Tim? I like Tiny Tim.

But, yes, the very same Tiny Tim who played the ukelele and sang in a falsetto, though he could do a baritone... and its an odd transition if you listen to one style and then the other. He might seem silly with his more played songs, but he's really a good performer! He used to play in Greenwich Village in the early sixties along side Bob Dylan at times.

I mean, I haven't got any of his actual albums, but... maybe someone else can tell me whether or not their worth buying?

Posted on 03-16-06 06:55 PM, in I hate St. Patrick's Day Link
I think St. Patrick's Day is probably the single most offensive holiday of the year.

Why?

I'm 85% Irish. My father and I have actual studied our lineage and found that he was, in fact, 100% Irish, and derived from Irish nobility. My mom too, is mostly Irish, though she does have a little bit of French in there, and an infentesimle (sp... whatever) amount of Italian. Be this as it may, I'm still pretty in tact with my Irish side, and definetly moreso than anything else in me. Unlike most people, I celebrate this fact everyday. When people go about on St. Patrick's Day, saying it is THEIR holiday just because they are 1/16th Irish, I actually get really offended. I started getting this way last year, when I actually found out about all this stuff about me, but I didn't really voice it. I mean, this was BEFORE St. Patrick's Day; when I'd hear a person go "Oh, I'm getting drunk tonight. You know, it's the Irish in me". Or "I really liked potatos. You know, it's the Irish in me." I'd laugh it off, cause it really isn't anything.

But last St. Patricks Day, I almost went complete apeshit on a few people. I have two examples of people I hate on St. Patrick's Day.

1) "Yo wuddup. Because I'm like, a quarter Irish, me and my homies are getting TANKED tonight!!! YEAH!!!"

"That's great..." says I.

"Yeah!! You're Irish, right? You should come with us!! Celebrate man, its a party-holiday!!!"

"No I do-"

"DURRRRRRRRRR I'M FULL IRISH TODAY (despite the fact that I'm full German on Oktoberfest, Black on Kwanzaa, and Native American on Thanksgiving!)"

2) "Tee hee! Do you like my 'Kiss Me I'm Irish' shirt and my Shamrock deedlybobs on my head and my green shoes and my green shorts and my green Mardi Gras beads and my shamrock necklace and my-"

"Go away." says I.

"Ohhh, I get it! You have a hang over, you couldn't wait for St. Patrick's Day! I'm only 1/16th so I could, but you guys must really like this holiday. It's today, not last night! Uh-oh, better get away before you puke on me! I'd hate to be YOUR wife, black and blue doesn't match with green!"

I seriously talked to people like that last year. It made me hate the fact that St. Patrick's Day has become a day of getting overly drunk (since you have a REASON to, you're "IRISH" and its St. Patricks Day!) and a day of "Celebration of your Culture!" which is fucking bullshit. 1/16th doesn't mean anything. When you're running around in full on Irish paraphenalia being a full on bigot, I don't even consider you human...

God, I hate St. Patrick's Day.

Seriously.

I wuv you guys.

No but, seriously seriously. Compare this board to ohhh... Vizzed.

Ever been to Vizzed? Maybe you're a frequent visitor to Vizzed! In that case... go back there, because you're probably incredibly closeminded!

www.vizzed.com

Check there if you haven't seen it!

Seriously. I know this is flame for the other board in a way, but I mean, come on. Look how much Xeogaming rocks compares to places like that. What if we were... we were like THAT? Everyone has their views... but they're so conservative its sad!

Xeogaming is how a board should be! I'm proud of it!

Where ELSE can you make a thread and say you love dolphin sex, or just scream BREADMACHINE BUTTSEX without getting banned? Well... I mean, and also have a normal conversation on the other side of the board.

Congratulations to Xeogaming. You are the only board on the internet that I know of that doesn't suck and or hasn't gotten shut down.

Mario RPG is probably my third favorite RPG of all time, under only the Fire Emblem and Wild Arms series.

Geno was so cool... a doll that comes to life; it was new, yet... oddly fit in well with the whole Mario feel. I liked Mallow too, how he thought he was a frog... aw man, great game...

The sidequests were amazing in that game too, along with minigames. The whole collecting Frog Coin things, the Three Musty Fears flags, and the bosses, one with a star each, it was so cool, such an awesome plot. And that big shell you could get, if you could get those seeds... I remember it was you had to get some sort of seeds, some sort of fertilizer, and then walk an invisible path in the sky in order to find the house where you can grow the plant. That was SO awesome when I got that.

This game had AWESOME music. The Forest level music blew my mind when I heard it. And the town music, every town, augh, it was so great!

The only level that pissed me off was the underwater one, with Jonathan Jones the shark guy. That one was hard, especially with the riddle before the boss.

10 out of 10

So tell me; if I've beaten MGS3 already, and own it, is it worth getting the new one? I would imagine it would be, but my only problem is that I have no monies.

But this is probably the overall best game I've ever played, though I'll probably change my mind later, and I've probably said differently before. It never gets old (though I'm only on my second replay, so I guess I'm not one to say) the characters are great (I like Sigint... he's fun to message...) and its just fun! And its cool!

I'm currently in the part where you scale the mountain in order to get to Groznyj Grad. Its hard to do if your trying to not kill anyone, but luckily I've only killed under 10 people, so it won't be that bad if I need to kick some ass. I like the challenge of knocking enemies out and sneaking around. Its what makes the game different from other action games. Plus, sniping in this game is so fun, especially if the guys can't find you XD.

My favorite part is where you bust out of Groznyj Grad for the first time, where Snake is all fucked up from the torture. You can find a machine gun, I forgot what it was called, but you get 1000 rounds for it (on easy mode at least, I'm doing normal now so I dunno) and its SO FUN. The fork is kinda cool too... but, not as cool as having Snake shoot enemies, with one eye torn out, screaming... that was the coolest videogame moment in videogame history, hands down.

Ahhh, thank god I didn't sell my gamecube. I don't blame you Trigger, I swear Nintendo slacked this year, but I think Twillight Princess will definetly pick it up for them. I saved it ONLY to play Fire Emblem: PoR, which was totally worth it, and I'm sure TP (lol. toilet paper.) will be just as worth it.

But I'm sure that Nintendo will have a deal that involves selling a 100 dollar Gamecube with a free copy of TP (lol. toilet paper.) So, if you have a job, or if you're going to get one by June, it should'nt be that hard to save up money.

This was before Red Alert, which was the one I played most of the time. But still, gah, I remember this! I remember having it for SOME system, I forgot what.

Still... I liked Red Alert better, with the Axis and Allies, and the skirmishes...

I think Little Shop of Horrors was made farther back than the 80's originally, but there was a remake of it in the 80's with the guy who did Honey I Shrunk the Kids. The original had Jack Nicolson in it.

Doesn't the plant eat blood? It'd be interesting to see that pulled off on stage...

Aw yeah, so I just beat it again on Normal difficulty, got 144 total kills, only Stamina-killed all of the bosses (I beat The Boss with the Cigar Gas Spray. That was so fucking cool... yet dissapointing... but cool at the same time!) I got Crocodile Rank (again... I didn't know I did that bad). Oh, but I did forget to play the game for a week so I didn't get to kill The End, so I didn't get the Mosin Nagant, which is, I think, one of the more useful weapons. I never did get the Moss Camo either, but I did get the Stealth Camo this time around...

Should I go for no kills in Normal Mode again, or should I go for the gold and try Hard or Very Hard mode?

WUAHAHA!!! I HOLD IN MY HANDS THE TIE BREAKING VOTE...

and who do I vote for?

DeDeDe can use a hammer. DK can use a... bazooka. DeDeDe was a supporting character in the Kirby TV Show. DK was the MAIN character in his TV show. DeDeDe steals food from harmless little goofballs on Pop Star. DK steals WOMEN. DeDeDe's has MetaKnight. DK has Diddy Kong, Chunky Kong, Dixie Kong, and Cranky Kong. And whatever the fuck that orangutan was called, but he doesn't count.

It was a tough choice, they're both awesome characters. But, if its a battle based on logic, its clear who wins.
