I started playing EVE online a few days ago, Its a blast the learning curve is a bit steep but I had some friends to help me out. Guilds are Corporations and its the perfect AFK grinder game because all of your training is done without your input, you decide which skill to train and it'll tell you the time required to train and it'll do it.

I'm currently playing Caldari working on building up a PvP Electronic Warfare missile boat...means I'll lock people down while my corp mates/allies destroy whatever I've locked down.


They are offering a 14 day trial right now, go to www.eve-online.com and check it out. I'm Chris Ribe in game, if you get serious after you complete the tutorial contact me in game and I'll get you set up in Amaria Corporation, a few million ISK and one of our starter Ships, Either a Kestrel or a Merlin. If you get REALLY serious into it, We'll get you set up in a cruiser or a destroyer. I'd wait till the end of your trial account to pay for it but once you complete the Tutorial, let me know on aim or post here, or hit me up in game

Won't happen that often, pirates only in low security space, they try that in high sec space, they get RAPED in the face by the NPC police force, response times are fast, and you buy insurance so you get the full monetary value reimbursed...You really don't worry about it in the tier 1 ships, but once you have a full ECM boat like I have you don't worry about people kill you cause you can just Lock them down and have your way with them.

Uh, No its really not...I've had two high paying IT jobs and I had no Certifications, not even a high chance of passing my core classes in high school, I dropped out took my GED, my California High School Proficiency and now I'm attending the JC to get my certificates.

You can get a job without that "4 year degree", its all about social networking and having the skills. Yes that piece of paper is nice but not required....

And Ryan, don't fret to much you've got another year of school prior to you going off to college if I recall how the British Education System works. Pretty much just crackdown if you want to head off to a university...and if not come to the US the pound is stronger then the dollar schooling here would be cheaper comparatively. Plus you get a chance to study abroad and most of the Game Design/Tech Sector is located here in the US, especially California.

We pay 120 bucks a month for two 18 mb down 2mb up, its not horrible.

Yeah, this is the worst idea ever. Comcast has been testing this out with some places like in Texas I believe, really pissing people off.

Not true, Alot of my friends have the cap issue, and yes, it bites.

I pay 30 bucks a month for 30 MMB down, and 2 MB up. And I am in the same Boat as Brew, I am a very patient person, I dont need super speeds to be satisfied, however it would be a luxury.



Actually the FCC did stop Traffic Shaping but not Download Caps, We don't have those were I am or were Klossus is...Also 30 mb down?

So I just got hired by www.digitalstormonline.com. They hired me on the spot at NVISION 08 to do marketing and tech support (term is Sales Engineer)

I'll be moving an hour away from were I live currently which puts me in a tought position I don't drive yet no licence as of this post.

Making seeing my friends/girlfriend/family a bit hard.

On the bright side 15 an hour 9-5 5-6 days a week.

Pay is good and I get a chance to work on helping them develop their phase change machines.
