| The whole faking death prospect is interesting...
To be honest, I didn't know who the hell she was. I was in a pizza shop downtown when I heard it over the radio. I turned around to one of my friends and asked if they were just joking or if that bulemic chick who was friends with Paris Hilton actually died...I was then told that the bulemic chick was Nicole Richie. :p So in short, I had no idea who she was. Of course, its all over the news and stuff I've learned more of the situation and I actually feel bad for her family. I dunno. I don't care who you are or what kind of good/bad person you are, you are someone's child, ya know? So there's at least one person out there hurting. Her daughter is going to be hurt as well. What a way to know your mother...through interviews and old news reports throwing around what a "gold-digging whore" she was, and how the girl's older brother died just when she was born, yada yada yada... | Bria glanced from one person to the other as they discussed the cards, her own card had already been taken. She looked over at Alexis and smiled.
"I'm sure the 9000 degrees was enough to properly dispose of the card, Vincent." She then looked over at Vincent and looked him straight in the eyes. It was the first time she had addressed him by his first name. She wasn't usually so direct, but never did shy away from people when she was. Bria then shrugged and walked over to the bed. She leaned against the post and slid to the floor. She brought her knees to her chest and rested her chin on them, her jet black hair cascading about her on the floor. The rest of her attire was black as well. Black boots and a black long-sleeved turtleneck top. Her spaghetti strap dress was also black, though a bit lighter than the rest of her attire. Even with her knees to her chest, she didn't need to worry. Her stockings were so dark that nothing could be seen anyway. She closed her eyes and simply rested until there was word of what would happen next. Until she could contribute anything, she was just along for the ride. |

| "Our families." Bria pipped up immediately. She didn't rise from her position, but she clenched her hands into fists. "What of them? I can't just up and leave mine behind..." She says. For a moment, her mind wandered. She didn't remember her mother much, but one memory still echoed in her mind. The memory of her mother and father sitting her down to explain the "lump in mommy's tummy" rang clear as a bell. And then they were gone. Her mother and the lump. She still had her father and the rest of her neighborhood had come together to raise her as well.
They were all her family and their bond grew even stronger when her father was gone as well. For the past few years, they were all she had...they cared for her and not only put up with her sicknesses as a child, but they helped her to become better...to outgrow many of her illnesses. She looked back over at Ken and slowly she stood. At first she said nothing. "If my being home will endanger them, then I shall accompany you...if not, then...I'm sorry..." Her eyes hit the floor as she made her last comment and her long dark bangs fell into her face. |

How long is it now? And how did you do the layers? My mom's friend at work does her own hair too, and to get it in layers, she said that she just puts it in a ponytail, twists it together SUPER tight, and then just cuts off an inch or so...however much she wants...I haven't seen her do this, but her layers are pretty...**shrugs** I've also changed my mind on how I'm going to dye my hair...nothing outrageous though. 
And Shaddow? Wispy hair is kickass. |

Her eyes met Alex's for a moment. She wanted to say something, but decided against it. Bria always felt that eye conact said more than words ever could anyways. That was why she did it all the time. However, once Alarath spoke up, her body rotated sharply in his direction. Her eyes narrowed and she walked over to him until she stood directly before him. She looked up. She appeared to be angry...the way she had walked over to him, the way she stood, and the way her blue eyes locked into his. "Right payment?" Her voice came out soft rather than angrily, however. "Dear sir, I believe that they are offering protection, and if I am not mistaken, that is a generous amount of payment..." She says politely. |

She had been gone for a while and had not been able to find anyone she was supposed to. She sighed as she made her way through to the kitchen, passing by random tools and cleaning supplies along the way. | Bria craned her neck back so that she could see Alexis, since she had to lean over her to get to Alarath. She froze, trying not to get in their way. She flinched when he heated up the knife but still did not move right away. After a few seconds, she ducked out of the way and looked back at Alexis, placing a hand on her shoulder in an attempt to keep her from reaching out and hurting Alarath.
"I don't know sir." She says, without even looking at Alarath at first, but after a few seconds, she looked right at him before turning toward a window. Even though the rain was still pouring down, Bria opened the window anyway. She held both of her hands up and somehow the rain was not coming inside the room. She closed her eyes for a moment and inhailed through her nose. There was something about the smell of rain Bria always enjoyed. After a few seconds, she opened her eyes again. Occasionaly she would move one of her hands very slightly. She would lock her attention on one raindrop and either stop it, suspending it in the air before letting it continue it's fall. Another one would catch her eye and she would slow it's fall and make it swirl until it hit the side of the building. Of course one could only see this if they were up close, but she didn't care. | There were still some beads of water along the windowsill from when Bria had been playing with it moments ago. She mover her finger to lift one of the beads and flicked it at Ken.
I'm thinking waterways will be the best option. I can't do much if I'm not near water, but when I am..." Her voice trailed off for a moment and she tilted her head in Alarath's direction. "It's obvious that that one can control fire...and if the good doctor wouldn't mind, he and I would make a pretty good team. Oil floats on top of water and if I am correct, it is pretty difficult to put out a fire over water..." She paused, unsure of herself and whether or not she was proposing an intelligent idea. A slender finger went to her lips and her brow furrowed as she thought for a moment. "Yes." She says, nodding. "I think taking the waterways will be much smarter than an airship." Bria shrugged. "I also suggest getting to know one another as much as we can and as quickly as we can. We've got talents and if we don't mesh them together somehow and think things through, we won't make it." When she finished, she glanced around at everyone in the room, trying to gauge their reactions. Her eyes fell on Avendia last and she lingered there for a moment. If anyone would be able to correct her, she was sure it would be Avendia. |

| Hmmm...hung out with Xeios Friday night and we watched anime in my other friend's basement. I ended up getting sick though...damn cramps... Other than that though...and the fucking cold ass trek to my friend's house...I had fun.

As the furniture slid past them, she blinked, but did not show any more suprise than that. She was getting used to the "unexpected" that it she actually expected Vincent to do the things that he did. However, just because the suprise was gone, doesn't mean the interest wasn't. She was going to ask him later how he did all of his tricks, she decided. With that Bria made her way toward the exit, giving Vincent a nod as she passed him. Once in the hall, she turned. She didn't say a word, just shruged and made her way to the stairs and began to descend them. |

I would suggest, if you feel confident enough and it's nothing extremely drastic, cutting your hair yourself because I've gotten mine cut countless times by hairdressers who NEVER get it how I want, and I did it for myself the first time and got it perfect. I dunno, maybe it's just me, but even though I had no idea what I was doing, I love my hair now more than ever.
