Don't merge them. Please. There will always be downtime in certain areas...think of this...fads...what happens? People are into one thing, it becomes extremely popular, then they move on to the next, so on and so on. Things always cycle back though, 'specially since this is a forum, the possibilities of where you can post aren't infinite.  So, General might be having some downtime, but I've noticed a lot of other forums getting a lot of attention.
I've seen this cycle on the board since I joined...oh...three years ago at MoD? |

| Hmmm...well Shard...damn...what can I say? I mean...you say you stopped being so clingy...yet why are you still refering to her as your "would be fiance?" I mean...when you say you're going to slow things down...yet still making those kinds of references...I mean maybe she got scared. Moving so fast. So much in so little time changed for you both. Maybe it turned out that she wasn't ready for it?
And I'm going to go on a whim here and say she never called you naive for being upset over her leaving...but maybe she was trying to get you to understand that you're really young...it isn't the end of the world. Might feel like it now, but it still isn't. You never know. And I'm also positive, which I give you full credit for clarifying, that she didn't try to change who you were at all. She just pointed out various behavioral patterns that were repetitious at the time and that coincidentally, you were so depressed at that time. While my statement does seem a bit contradictory here, because at the same time, there were certain things that really bothered her, like the uber clingyness, and I guess that could have been considered part of who you were...but you also had every right to let her know things like that that bothered you. | Holly looked over at the man who pulled both she and her partner into the crate with a bemused expression. Once his hand was removed from her mouth she gave a nod at his instructions to keep quiet. However, at the mention of Josiah being her father, she let out an outraged gasp. "He isn't my father." she replied indignantly.
The second the words left her mouth, she shuddered, realizing that she had possibly spoken too loudly. She didn't move or say a word until she was almost sure that no one outside had heard her. "I must appologize." She says softly. "My partner and I are simply here to learn-" Suddenly, she was cut off. Holly jumped in response to the sudden noises comming from the outside and let out a little yelp. Quickly she covered her mouth, but her eyes widened as she heard the dialog that followed about the shards. |

| Suddenly, Josiah's shard began to react oddly to the activity happening outside.
"Damn." Holly mumbled. "Sorry about this..." she says to the man in the crate with them. She then turns her attention to Josiah. "Make sure he get's out of here okay." Was all she said. She gave them both a curt nod. "I must now make my leave." With that she lifted the lid and pulled herself up and outside. Once again, she was pulling her cloak tightly around her, to keep from it blowing in all sorts of directions. Swiftly, and gracefully, she made her way over to the rukus. Once she was a safe distance, she crouched down, behind some of the crates that were even closer, but kept an eye on everyone in the surrounding, in case any of them happened to step into her hiding spot. With the flick of her wrist, a bracelet slid to the very end of her arm before her hand and dangling out her long black sleeve was a shard... |

| "The hell?!" Holly uttered, nearly exclaiming it. She looked up at the man patting her shoulder and waited until her breathing returned to normal.
"Sorry." She mumbled, feeling her cheeks grow hot. "People keep startling me today..." Before she could say anything else, the other man from back in the crates showed up. Quickly, she pushed her shard back in her sleeve, hoping no one had spotted it. She then looked on past him to see if Josiah was following. He wasn't. He'll be alright... She thought to herself. |

| Holly screamed. She didn't mean to and quickly threw her hands to her mouth. However, she didn't even attempt to duck behind anything to keep herself from being spotted. She couldn't. People moved to the attack to quickly...the guy who got shot in the chest...then a pebble physically going through someone's head...It disgusted her, yet she couldn't bring herself to look away, let alone bring herself to move. | |||

| Shit... she thought frantically to herself. Finally, she regained composure and ducked back behind the crate, trying to pull the other two men with her. I blew our cover... was all she kept thinking.
"I don't think any of us really wants to get caught up in that just yet..." she says, tilting her head in the direction of the fighting. |

| "That box..." Holly said softly, as she gazed in the direction the three men with the black box took off to.
She then turned her attention to the man who had brought her partner back to her. Quickly she moved to Josiah, circling around him, poking him in the arms to see if he had been bruised. "Thanks." She said to the man who had brought Josiah out of the crate. His shard was nowhere near as wild as it had gone before, but it was still going, even if it was dying out by the second. "It must be reacting to the box...and they're getting away!" She exclaimed. She then turned to the man with the sword and the others who still remained. Holly calmly but quickly made her way over to the buggy. "Sir, if you didn't mind..." she began with a humble tone and a slight bow of her head. Her mind was racing. She had to admit to herself that the events that have taken place already had shaken her immensely. However, she knew she could not display her inner feelings. She didn't know what she was getting herself into. The only one there that she knew she could trust was Joshia, and normally wouldn't put such blind faith in others so easily, but Holly had no choice. Her task was of great importance to her. |

| "Don't worry about it." Holly said as she tugged on Josiah to get on the buggy with her. She turned back to the others and before she could ask if they would be alright and have away to get to where ever they needed to be, they were already off.
"Holly-" She was about to give her last name, but caught herself. "And this is a good friend of mine, Josiah." She replied, nudging her head in Josiah's direction. "And thank you very much for the ride." She said, giving yet another slight bow of the head. |

| Seifer is his name...she thinks to herself as she twists her position around to see everyone on now on the buggy. "Holly." Was all she said, finally introducing herself to the swordsman. "And that over there would be Josiah." She said, making a reference in his direction.
Then, she paused for a moment. "Going with...us sir?" The question escaped Holly's lips before she could think twice. Her pale face twisted into an expression of uncertanity. "May I be so bold as to ask why?" |

| Any other time, upon hearing comments such as Seifer's, Holly would immediately jump to defend her pride. However, she was so taken aback by his accurate observation, she simply gawked at him silently.
After a few moments, Holly cleared her throat. "While I do thank you, dear sir, Josiah and I are in no need of protection. We may look it, but the pair of us can hold our own." She gave a bit of an awkward, crooked smile as she spoke. "However, if you wish to accompany us, you are most welcome...provided your intentions are the same as our's..." |

"However, his shard doesn't track any type of shard specifically. It simply tracks down shard energy, and reacts more to the shards with the most, or simply the shards that are most..." She paused for a moment, trying to come up with a better word, but failed to do so. "Odd." Was all she could say. "Regretfully, we have yet to pick up any Phantom Shards..." |

| Holly responded to Seifer with a nod. "Well, like I said, you're more than welcome. We can work together then." She said, adding emphasis to the word 'together', trying to hint that they weren't as helpless as Seifer may have thought.
Her nose gave a little twitch as he pulled out the bottle. Beer, indeed, was very gross. As he tossed the bottle aside, Holly couldn't help but give a little smirk. "Beer is gross...there are plenty of better drinks out there..." Her voice drifted off. She thought she had heard a small thud, when Seifer tossed his bottle. The buggy was a little ways away from it now, but off in the distance, Holly could see a figure. The dark brown stood out like a thorn in the desert. |

| Holly gasped as the man she spotted moments ago jumped onto the vehicle. She was still clutching her shard in her hand and instinctively, she placed an arm over Josiah. She was oddly protective of her partner and it was no secret once people were around the two long enough.
However, as Leon reacted to the man, Holly couldn't help but narrow her eyes at him. This man, though it was mere coincidence, reminded her slightly of her father. |

"Wait!" She shouted, the moment she saw Plexis make his move toward Seifer, but the buggy was still in motion. Holly then turned to face front, leaning in toward Leon. "Sir, we have to stop. We were exacuating for a reason, were we not? We can't just leave them there!" |
