| **shrugs** People have mentioned in various threads here, that they have a job and stuff like that....so...I'm wondering...what kinda job does everyone have? If you feel like sharing that is...and do you like it? **shrugs** Stuff like that.
As for myself...I have a job and a half.  However, haven't worked just yet. **dies** My actual job is at the Game Stop. I'll pretty much just be stocking everything and being a cashire. No big. Reason why I chose it? Other than this past year, I usually lived there practically. Not so much cuz I'm some sort of "hardcore" gamer or anything...because I'm not.  But I like them enough to talk about them with the employees. And besides, I knew the guys for a long time. One of the people running the store grew up with my brother-in-law, so I liked talking to them, and a few of the employees are REALLY good at math, so I used to have them help me with my math. 
So, I know what kind of days they have, so for the most part, I'll have time to get my homework done there, and I'll have all that help with my math. Some of the employees they had were college students, and they'd be sitting there doing their work, so, yeah. Just so long as their job is done and done right, there's no worries. So that's why I chose to work there. Though I don't start 'til August now...
And the other "half" is at the nursing home. They only call me in on weekends and they can call me at random. Sometimes I'll work an hour, sometimes I'll be there all day. Sometimes they won't even need me there that weekend period, so...**shrugs** So yeah...good pay though and they give all kinds of raises, especially for school students who keep up their grades AND a job there. |

But I'm sure there are people here...especially vampires...that are unjustly accused? I myself am not so innocent...so I am here to serve my time for what I've done...but I've seen it...Vampires...some turned without wanting to be... Kara paused for a moment and sighed again. Is there proof that wrong has been done by everyone imprisoned here? She could hear footsteps echoing down the hall. | Yeah...like Shaddow, I kinda thought it was literal too...Good thing it wasn't. Yes though, those cops were pretty retarded. Well...looking at the situation, I'm assuming that they were real asses about it. That's the thing with cops...there are some things that for legal reasons and whatnot, they have to do sometimes, no matter how obvious something seems. Ya know? Like if I were being accused of something I didn't do, but someone was pressing the issue and saying that I did, then I can see after a while, with a witness claiming that I did it as well, I could see them having to do some sort of search. But there's still a way to go about it.
Rather than just do what they have to do and be polite about it, especially if its a case where there's no proof you did it or whatever, they get all arrogant and cocky. And then when they find they were wrong, they still act all arrogant and stuff...THAT'S what pisses me off about some cops. Their attitudes. [/end rant] |

| Kara's eyes opened slowly and she glanced from Tsun to Benja in a daze, her brown eyes finally resting on Tsun. The sudden change from focusing on Leon inside her mind to being snapped back into reality, caused a brief dizziness to sweep over her. Shaking it off, she looks up at Tsun curiously.
She then turned her gaze over to Benja. Rising to her feet slowly, she turns until she is facing him directly from behind the bars. With a smirk playing across her lips. "I wouldn't be so quick to judge a book by it's cover." She tries to hold a serious expression, but her smirk quickly turns into a smile. "You'd best start yelling at me before Narina gets back so you don't get into trouble." Kara then turns toward Tsun and sighs. "A conscience is a dangerous thing. It can eat at a person unlike anything else..." Her voice drifts off as she glances around, wondering what happened to Leon. He was reading my mind? She thought to herself, her brow forming into a puzzled expression. |

| Lina watches Jobes as he walks out and then turns back at Ariya to see her smiling. Lina couldn't help herself but to grin. "You know...with a pretty smile like that, I'd be smiling more often..." she says and then pauses. She thinks for a moment and then lets out a giggle. "I see..." She stops. Glances directly at Lina and grins.
"I walk in here to find a man sitting at your desk...and you're smiling...I can't help but put those two together..." Lina then flops back into her chair. "Well, I'm ready for that upgrade." She muses between giggles. |

| "Right!" Kara exclaims. She looks over to her side to see the vehicle Jason pulled up in, and double checks to make sure her short path toward it was clear. She could feel her knuckles stinging and glanced down at them to see what it was. To her suprise, they were as white as can be. Without realizing how tightly she was glancing her handgun before, Kara now released her grip enough for the stinging to cease.
Swiftly she darts over to the car and jumps in. Immediately taking over the wheel, she floors it, all the while Jason fired away. "Where to now?" |

| Hmmm....sex, in my opinion...is something that is completely natural and all. But I see it as something that has no gray area. It's either good or bad. Good when you're ready for it. And no, I don't mean "ready" as in only waiting for marriage...in my honest opinion, people don't make weddings on when they're ready for sex...you're either ready or you're not. I find it quite possible for someone to be totally ready before marriage, and then even after marriage, someone to be not so ready just yet. Being ready, I suppose, is not having any repercussions to think of. Meaning, what could be considered consequences, would be considered blessings.
**shrugs** I'm prolly not making any sense...and my opinions, and reasons to back up what I think don't end there...I could even go on to continue to back up what I've already stated. **shrugs** But I don't want to bore everybody.
Oh, and for the record, I can't help but like Cyro and Guardian Oni's opinions. Cyro admits that men want sex and stuff, but I've never had someone actually back that up...and even if his statement is proven wrong by anyone, I still think it's cool that he gave an intelligent explanation. 'Least I understand men a bit more. And what Oni said about bragging...I won't deny that I brag about good things. |

| Kara did as she was told and weaned her foot off the gas pedal. As they slowed down, she was able to avoid more of the debris sprawled across the city, rather than accelerate and drive over it. Once again her knuckles stung as she gripped the steering wheel.
Get a grip of yourself Kara! She thinks to herself as she loosens her grip. Suddenly she felt as though she were suffocating. Frantically, she takes in a deep breath, realizing that she had been holding her breath for quite a while. Images of the events following the start of this mess flashed before her eyes, as she takes in slow, deep breaths, keeping her eyes on the road and looking for more survivors. We're never going to get out of here... She thought desperately, as she glanced around them. The roads were dead. Not even zombies appeared to be roaming about. Finally, the dispair had finally taken it's toll, and Kara slowly came to a stop. Taking her foot off the gas completely and shifting the vehicle into neutral, she slumped against the steering wheel. She closed her eyes, but only for a moment, for when she did, images of those monsters she was blasting away at only moments before cropped up in her mind. She cringed as she saw the flesh hanging off the carcuses, limbs barely attatched once again. She took a deep breath and held it in for a second. Then looked over at Jason and grinned sheepishly. "I...I..I'm sorry." was the only appology she could manage. With that, she put the car back into gear, and lightly put her foot on the gas again, keeping her eyes foreward. |

| Brace yourselves for one of my novel posts.
Fuck'em all is what I say. We all have our differences...we all have our good points and bad points. The only time I think something is bad about someone personally is when it's something that hurts themselves and others. Another "bad" trait, and we all posess it, or have at one time or another, is letting other people get to us. As long as you're agood person, as in not doing any harm, then there is absolutely nothing wrong.
So what if you do soething differently...I talk differently...even for people in my own area. My grammy taught me how to talk with an English accent, then there's the family members I grew up around who still have the Irish accent, and then there's my Philadelphia accent...sometimes I mix them soooo horribly. But I either don't notice it, or I don't care to correct it. :p
No one is "normal"...whatever weirdo came up with the definition of "normal"...**shrugs** That's just me. Just don't worry what people say..you'll never make everybody happy anyway...so just make yourself happy. In doing that, you're also making the people who care about you and matter most happy. It's one of those weird cycle thingies, but I find it to be true.
So, if you like the flow then just go with it. Don't worry about those people who need to be "different' all the time giving you problems, cuz in a way, they're all being the same as one another anyway...and if you don't like the flow, then don't go with it, and don't worry about what the "normal" people say. I know all that is easier said than done, especially when it's hurting you like this, but it's well worth it and you'll end up feeling better anyway. |

As far as the history behind it...It was a very interesting period to learn about, but like Des, I'm glad that I didn't live there back then. Though the French Revolution did lead to Napoleon comming to power, and as cool as a guy he is to learn about...again...talk to the people from the countries Napoleon invaded and conqurerd and they might not look at Bastille Day in the same light as we are here exactly. And the whole "Let them eat cake" thing...well...Marie Antionette really wasn't a bad person. An airhead yes, but not a bad person and she in fact actually loved the French people...she was just such a damned airead.

| Well...like I said in my other post in general...My view on sex is that it's either good or bad. I honestly don't see any in between. Mind you, this is all strictly my opinion, and I still respect what others have said here, 'specially since people at least backed up their opinions.
As for the whole "marriage" bit...to be honest, I find it to be a nice thought. Otherwise, I don't really think there is anything wrong with not waiting until marriage. Just as long as you're ready. I'm not sure if it was in thie thread or the other one, but Elara mentioned not being ready will make it a bad experience, and I couldn't agree more. For me, "ready" consists of not having consequences, but rather blessings. Example: not being 100% sure you care for the person...or you don't care for them at all...getting that close to someone in that kinda contact can really mess with a person to put it lightly. You could have all sorts of regrets that eat at you or something along those lines. That would be a consequence I'd think. The "blessing" would be you're thre with that person you really care about. To be blunt, I'm sure sex feels good, but being with someone that you truly love makes it even better. Therefor, there are no regrets. You did it, and you're happy. Or the whole pregnancy issue. I'm not against contraceptives, but I also know that they're never 100%. Sure they might work pretty damn good, but there are still some kinks in them you could say. In my opinion, I think kids should be something people are happy about. I mean in all honesty, it's not the kid's fault, and besides, you don't have to be married to be happy about having a kid and be able to support him/her, ya know? **shrugs** So those are my general opinions on sex...my biggest thing is being ready, rather than marriage. And "ready" in certain areas isn't all the same for everybody either. **shrugs** But I think that people can know when they're ready and when they're not, rather than trial and error until they finally find someone they're ready for. |

Ah...sports accidents...gots plenty of those...From hockey...I played for a long time, yet I'm not a good ice skater. I mean I'm well enough to move around on my own, and I'm the goalie, so I'm okay with balance and everything...sometimes.
Like this one time..I caught the puck, but it was one of those freakish-should've been impossible-by accident catches. It was during a practice, but there were people around watching and all. I had turned around to talk to the ref when I hear "KATE! DUCK!" So, stupid me, turns around toward the puck flying at me, and I didn't have my gloves on mid you...so, reflexes kicked in, and I just reached up to catch the puck. It hurt like a sonuvabitch, but I caught the damn thing in between my fingers. Everyone started clapping and such...and being a goofball, I went to skate out toward the middle and take a bow. Well just as I did, I tripped over my own hockey stick, fell backward and crashed into the net, knocking it off the course and all....meh, not to funny...but shit like that always happens to me when I try being suave. |
