Yes indeed. I am very excited for Elara! And I'm glad you get to see Brandon's as well too, Rogue!

You know, over the past few years, ever since the older tier of nieces and nephews got older (Because now, my two oldest sisters like to get THEM involved in their fights, which in turn has gotten ME involved a time or two, but only to walk in, bang some heads together and walk out with my smart-mouthed nieces and nephew and tell the "kids" that if they get involved in their mothers' bullshit and start acting like little shits to their other aunts who are good to them, I'll knock them out.) Thanksgiving has been the better of the two holidays. Everyone still gets along for the most part.

By Christmas, its war it seems. I don't even bother touching Black Friday sales with them, like they try to get me to do every year. But, I'm looking forward for today. Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

I'm usually ALWAYS sick as can be the second the weather drops below 60 degrees, I freaking swear.

Last year I got sick a lot less than usual though, and this season, not yet. Woot!

So, almost a year late, but I freaking love that show. I love the cast and just the way they worked together. The show is a bit too optimistic, but separating it from reality makes me understand even more why these guys got their awards for the acting at least. (Although I think Allison Janney is the only one who won anything.) And I was a big John Spencer fan before I saw the series, so it was nice to watch him.

So, I read the book years ago, but at the moment, I'm actually watching "The Lovely Bones" for the first time.

Edit: Hard book to read, as well as to watch as a movie. Holy shit.

Gross. Yeah, from what I can see, you guys are getting hit worse than we are closer to the coast this time around. Here its staying above 0 at least. 6 degrees tonight, 12 all day tomorrow, and then 7 tomorrow night. Makes me want to punch babies. Please tell me you don't have to go out in this so much.

(and up your's, far northerners. Y'all are better prepared for this. )

Only...the space race WAS a military thing...Dude, there's even audio proving that Kennedy cared more about kicking Russia's ass than he did for the idea of "discovery". Or am I wrong?

Honestly, if they wanted to narrow in on this kind of thing, why not make another channel? Personally, I don't mind having 40billion channels. I'd rather a channel for something I don't watch that something actually educational to change for the worse (as Elara has mentioned the many times she expressed distaste for the History Channel.)

And didn't the Military Channel cover ALL sorts of military history? From a world history perspective as well? If that's the case, then I'd say its pretty relevant to keep the way it is. History is extensive. If these channels were going to be truly educational to the extent that they could be, then there really IS room for channels JUST dedicated to a specific era. Whole channels. (I also don't really understand how broadcasting works, so the cost of this may not be worth it, now that I think about it.

**sigh** I'll quit here.

I'm strongly assuming that it has something to do with preventing democrats from voting that day. **shrugs**

There's a few things to consider here. Do I think he knew about it? I would be incredibly on the fence about that one, but there's evidence that he did. If there's facts to speak of, then there's no arguing the situation, ya know? What would have made me consider that he was unknowing however, is the nature of the job and how busy of a person any governor is. Brings me to mind Henry Ford and his example of "I don't need to know everything about everything, all I have to do is push this button and the expert I need appears." notion. Some jobs are THAT incredibly busy and good leadership isn't just in your OWN ability to carry the weight, but in your ability to choose the best people to be by your side. So, anyway, Christie or not, that's the type of situation I kinda weigh in on when a very busy "job" is under fire, not just a particular person.

The only thing I'm disappointed in is this: there are other facts that would be extremely relevant that should be readily available in articles like these. This is only a national thing due to the implications it holds to the future. Right NOW, it is also MAJORLY local. Therefore, as Rogue has proven, there are plenty of more than intelligent people who would scratch their heads and go "so uh...what does this mean? It was a traffic jam. First you East Coasters are complaining about your "earth quake" and now you think you can hold a candle to the traffic we live with?"

I'm poking a little fun, but in all seriousness, I think the writing on this topic is terrible everywhere I turn. I'd love to be corrected if I am wrong, but every time I read about this, he article is more about attacking Christie in general under the guise of a bridge situation. If they want to attack the guy, there are plenty of reasons to do so. He's a politician. They're all crooks. But in all seriousness, if they want to highlight how this is a future national problem should he get a nomination, people who are not local to the situation shouldn't have to separately google the location of this bridge and the demographics surrounding it to see the relevancy on this being an attempt at tampering with an election. Call the guy an asshole for purposely allowing a bridge to have that kind of issue? Fine. But don't start pointing fingers about an election issue without providing those demographics. Not that extra research shouldn't be encouraged, but what's the point in being able to research when the things you find don't highlight their headlined point?

**sigh** I'm rambling. Sorry.

12 years of Catholic School....I still use mine. :p Although in high school, they really didn't care. But I'm the kind of person who remembers shit after I've written it own once, so taking a crap ton of notes in class was my thing. Hardly ever had to study after and always aced everything. Needless to say, switching between printing and cursive helped with my sanity.

Speaking OF school... Remember when Friday and Saturday nights meant EVERYone was on here posting all night because we didn't have to go to school the next day? (although I admit I'm not exactly disappointed that we all have things to do now. :p )

WiiU is next on the list. My boyfriend got the PS4 at launch, but more Netflix has been going on with that machine while his dad plays CoD on it when we're not using it. Like you all have been saying, not that much of a library just yet. We're contemplating getting into FFXIV though. My nieces have a WiiU though and it is glorious.

Sweet potato fries with honey mustard, vanilla milkshake, chicken alfredo pizza (not too sure I'd ever get this again, but its what was brought home this evening.), and a plate full of bruschetta. RIght at this very moment.

Sometimes, I REALLY like when one sister calls me, asks me to stop over, and then asks me to take something else to one of my other sisters' house(the food they pile into my arms as I'm leaving ^^;;, and then my brother-in-law stops over because guys at work ordered this pizza and he dares me to try it.

Ahahaha! Side note, I always ask myself this, what with the large amounts of candy/food I have with me all the time. One time, I legit pulled out a bag of poptarts. Still ate them.

Aaaannnnyyywhoooo....

I slid down my steps a couple of days ago. I have issues with low blood pressure lately, which led to the fall, but the fall itself couldn't be more perfect. I'm usually pretty klutzy anyway, so my falls are pretty disastrous, but this particular time, I literally just slid one hand down the wall, the other along the railing, and just floated into a sitting position after quite a but of a drop. Like, I literally fell without hitting things, did that thing with the wall, and next thing I knew, I was sitting on the step like nothing happened.

**cough**

So what IS in your purse? O_o

Ahahahahaha. COPS. I legitimately REALLY liked that show when I was like 5.

But honoring heroes is great, don't get me wrong. I wasn't an avid watcher of the military channel, but if I understand correctly, it was supposed to be like the history channel's intent, which was to mostly educate on things that happened. While one could argue that military history and US/World history are one in the same, as far as the idea of learning about the past, I could see why there'd be a separation. I think of it more or less as a category of information, but they still intertwine.

XD I died.

I'm a Taurus too, and a dragon. I read into that stuff for fun too. I didn't so much before, but when I was shown this book, an old high school friend of mine was like "You know how if you read the horoscope, it says all good things? This book is dedicated entirely to the bad things about people under these signs."

Long story short, Taurus was the shortest section and basically only said "You're such an asshole that even the normal horoscope doesn't deny it." So after seeing that, I started paying attention to mine and it basically (in nice ways) said how stubborn and what I jerk I am. I've gotten a kick out of the zodiac ever since.
