| She knew he wasn't taking her threat seriously, and that infuriated her. Despite the fact that she herself knew that she did not seem threatening, and in most cases, perhaps she wasn't threatening anyway, her pride still thought and felt on it's own.
Gritting her teeth, she closed her eyes for a second or two and forced herself to keep composure. He said he wasn't a threat to her, and that he, in a sense she guessed, actually WAS Cody...she couldn't help but trust him. Before following, she glanced about her surroundings one more time. The stares of some passersby were still burning into her, some curious, others seemed angered. She knew that whether she liked it or not, she was safer with the one beckoning her to follow, so that was just what she did. She kept behind him, however, for several paces. She was still trying to get her bearings straight, but wrapping her mind around it was so exhausting that she decided to deem it a minor piece to figure out later. She was here. Where exactly "here" was, didn't matter, because she didn't know how to leave. Accepting that she was probably stuck for a little while, she followed her gut. Despite not being the tallest person ever, Katie's uneven proportions gifted her with long legs, and being an athlete blessed her with being able to use them. In an effortless motion, Katie was now side by side with Kaijin. "So...what the hell is going on?" She asked, the question, though vague, seemed sufficient enough to blurt out. |

i mean, I don't really know what else to say. I'm glad you're alright, and I'm glad they took measures to make sure the security camera is working properly now. I know that doesn't help with the situation that already occurred, but it will be there to help if any of this comes back. If you can, keep checking with the place you work. Make sure they're continuously making sure all of their usual security measures are working properly. Are you feeling any better now? |

| I'm pretty sure it'll fade after a while. If you're still feeling nervous as time passes, I think you should talk to someone, be it a boss or whatever. Keep voicing how you feel about the situation, or at least don't be in denial of the effects the events have on you.
If you think it was a gang issue...then I definitely advise you keep your eye on the situation, keep informed on the efforts going to ensure the situation doesn't repeat itself, keep your eyes open, and follow your instincts. |

| Natalie finally breathed a sigh of relief as Alden left the room, only to replace the relief with a grimace. She looked over at the blonde girl and rolled her eyes, only to turn her attention back on to Jack.
"Now...as we were..." She said... ---------------------------------------------------------------- "What the HELL!!!" A voice exclaimed from the hallway. "I'm sorry, but I can not let you pass, ma'am." came a male voice. "I'm not ASKING to pass through." returned the now shrill female voice. "But ma'am." Now the male's voice was bordering on shaking. He was botching his efforts to remain calm and collected. "I came to meet Alden and my husband here, and that's exactly what I'll do...I'm not trying to pass--" "But ma'am...I shouldn't be allowing you to stay--" "Argrgh!!!" Holly's aggrivated outburst could be heard throughout the entire dome practically. |

| Holly took Alden's hand and grinned. She couldn't help but compare the man to her father, even though he wasn't nearly as old as him. She snuck one more glance to see if Seifer was among for group of people she caught standing outside of a room at the far end of the hallway. To her dismay, she could not get a good look.
Finally, she looked up at Alden. "I'm not sure if the pair of you had met...Don, this is Tysha." She says, tilting her head in the direction of her companion. "Tysha, this is Don Alden." Without waiting for the pair to acknowledge the introduction, Holly continued. "So...what's going on...I've been kept entirely in the dark Alden...I need answers..." She looked up at him with her pure blue eyes. She was hardly exaggerating about her last statement. Between being busy taking care of her father, hanging out with Tysha, and her not frequent enough time with her husband, she was really beginning to suspect she was purposely being kept from the case. |

That was part of what made her believe the things he said about Cody so easily. And before this new person, she could have sworn she felt another familiar presence getting closer.
Shaking her head, she placed her palm gently to her forehead. What am I getting myself into... she thought ruefully to herself. Wake up wake up wake up wake up... her desperate thoughts continued. Katie peered at the strange new woman and tilted her head curiously, as she willed herself to wake from her dream. The night isn't over yet, child... came that sensual voice from the depths of Katie's mind, and for a moment, although she couldn't see it herself, her dark brown eyes flashed to a bright shade of blue before reverting back to their original color. | Instinctively, Kate tensed as she bat lady floated about her. Not the presence of this girl, but the question was the source of the tension.
"Da--" She paused and blinked several times. "Kate..." She announced. My name means nothing right now... her inner voice cooed. I don't belong here...why couldn't you do this? Why wouldn't they know you? Katie thought to herself. No need to belong...just believe...this...denial you've put yourself through has tampered with my ability to access your world.. a pause, and then a soft chuckle. Katie sighed, aloud, even though the conversation raging on was in her mind and her mind only. She looked up at the Bat Lady, then to Kaijin, and finally back to the Bat Lady. She simply shrugged and offered a meek smile. |

Was what he did right? No. Should he get away with it? Well...like Elara said...evasion. If anything, get him with that right now. Otherwise, focus on more recent and terrible issues. Governments have let worse things slide. At this point, they're probably after him because they're embarrassed he got away. |

| Recent obsessions...
Those Werther's Caramel hard candies... Playing Need for Speed Shift (and anxiously awaiting Forza 3 and Gran Turismo 5) Watching "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" (funniest show...evar!!!) "Robot Chicken", "DBZ" since I recently went on a nostalgic trip and am now the proud owner of the entire series. Reading the "House of Night" series. Honestly, not really liking it too much. My boyfriend's sister lent me the books when I was stuck in the emergency room all night a few weeks ago. What started as sheer boredom, is now something I just want to complete just because I vaguely enjoy two or three aspects of the story. Been drawing lately...A LOT. Contemplating saving up and going to all sorts of conventions this year to see what the "draw for commissions" world is like. Which, for the record, if anybody here knows anything about, please enlighten me and point me toward the right direction. Oh, and...GameStop is consuming my life. 'Bout to accept a promotion and a raise. Working full-time now and shit. Aaaaannnnd....that's it at the moment. |

Right, so...welcome back to "Emo Time!" With yoooourrrrrr host with the most...meee!
Decided to drop out of school...well, take a year, maybe two off...why? Because I have a gameplan. 1) pay off all loans that have interest included with them. (Which means before the interest, I only owe 2 thousand bucks. By the time I get there, I'll prolly be only a few hundred more than that...not that I'm made of money, but for the whole college loan dealie, I'm doing pretty damned good.) I have a few subsidized loans, but I already made my phone calls and had them deferred. Just cuz I'm taking time off, doesn't mean I'm giving up. I just wanna get the interest loan outta the way because...well...it's got interest... 2) get a car. 3) move the fuck out. Two and three are interchangeable. Whichever can happen first. (Being in a big city like I am, public transportation is VERY easy to come by. It's just that if I could physically take less time to get to work, I could work more hours.) But yeah....I'm not going back to school until I've accomplished these things. Why? Because my house is TOO small, and the family AND their problems are getting TOO big. Yuppers kiddies, my family continues to reproduce. First, my mom is pregnant...which, not gonna lie, I'm actually excited about. Second, my younger sister is pregnant with baby number 2. She's due in January or December, and her first kid will be 3 in March. (Now, don't freak, just cuz I said younger, doesn't mean she's like 15 or something...she and I are VERY close in age. I just turned 21 in May, she just turned 20 in September...however she was way too fucking young with the first one...) THEN, within the past month, two MORE bombs are dropped... My other younger sister, who is only 18, mind you...is preggerz...AND, my 15-year-old niece is pregnant too. Yuppers. Ima be a great-aunt. Wanna know something though? That doesn't bother me as much as the fact that my niece's sister and two brothers are gonna be an aunt and uncles. My oldest niece....whom I remember them bringing home from the hospital like it was yesterday, and whom I was also deathly afraid of, being as my sister told me she was an alien...who's mean and kills the people they come out of, just like that old Sci-fi movie, Alien...grant it, I was only 4 years old back then..but still...this baby...my baby...is going to be an aunt...it's sooooo freaking WEIRD!!! Also, kinda ironic...three generations of my family are having children. Weird, huh? And....this is the LEAST of my worries. For simple laziness, I'll just sum it up in a nutshell: Things have finally gotten so bad between my dad and I that I beat the total shit outta him about two weeks ago. My older sisters are causing soooo much trouble, it isn't even funny. So, once again, not only am I receiving NO help from my parents, because my non-working, baby making, grown ass adult sisters, get their asses wiped...and I'm expected to not only support myself, but NOW I'm told I'm getting kicked out if I don't pay the utilities and become responsible for the foodshopping... Now...how the fuck can I pay for all of that, work enough to make that kinda money, AND go to school full-time?! Which brings me to the beginning of the post. I need to get outta here. |
