| So, went to the midnight showing of this movie...and...the only thing that got to me, REALLY, was the CG on the claws. Like others have pointed out, they not only could have, but they HAVE done better.
As far as the X-Men series goes, some of my friends don't particularly care for it. They say there's too many characters to follow and whatnot. And I have noticed that the people I know who don't particularly care for X-Men, are far more interested in the other Marvel stories and know way more about them, as opposed to my X-Men friends, who know nearly all there is to know about X-Men, but not so much everything else. My point being, you have to admit, there is A LOT that X-Men emcompasses. The X-Men series could stand alone, as far as I'm concerned. So, making X-men movies is no easy task, I'm sure. The biggest fans seem like they'd be the most difficult to please, which makes sense, because there's so much going on in X-Men. It's difficult to tell what is the most popular because so many aspects have a lot of support. And that's just a general disclaimer toward X-Men. This, while yes, I agree with the criticism of Gambit and Deadpool, is a Wolverine movie. I took it as such, so the other details didn't bother me so much. I just adjusted myself to focus on Wolverine and considerd everything else support of his story. I'll be more critical of Deadpool when his movie is made, just as I would of Gambit, should they make a movie featuring his character. Anywho...just to wrap this up before it becomes too long...I enjoyed the movie.  |

(OOC: Katy! I love it! Just like Katy Rose <---some singer I like a lot.  Anywho, I just skimmed through and wanted to give you a heads up, Elara, so that you didn't think I was being a total douche. In keeping true to the story, my character technically has no idea you're involved with this. She and Evan took off before your character stepped out from the shadows in the woods. Only tip my charrie will have is that she saw you and Sarah sitting together at the table in the resturaunt, but nothing really happened there so...)
Without realizing it, Kate held on to the paper Sarah had given her so tightly that her knuckles were going white. She was slightly taken aback by the gesture. Her own abrasiveness was fairly well known, so most people sat back and waited for her to make the move toward the threats of meeting up after school or the friendlieness she was known for exhibiting. It was nice, for someone to make the move toward friendship first. A note she would now keep in the back of her mind for herself. As she and Sarah separated, Katie slowed her pace, dreading her next class. Physics wasn't so bad, and she had chosen the subject on her own free will. It would be the first time during the day she and John would meet. In a way, Katie dreaded the thought of his absense, but she also held her breath in anxiety over his presence. To her dismay, or pleasure, she was unsure, John was nowhere to be found. So, for the duration of the class, Katie sat alone, not bothering with anyone as she transfered the problems from the blackboard to her notebook. Finally, the bell rang. A little too quickly, Katie rose to her feet, practically dashing from the classroom. The day was leaving her a little more anxious than she had anticipated. Regaining her composure before entering her next class, Katie sauntered into her history classroom as she usually did. This was one of her favorite classes. It was one of the only subjects in which she could learn the same thing over and over again but in a completely new light. Upon enterance, as she made her way to the back where she usually sat, she spotted a familiar face. Almost ready to wave and proclaim her greeting, she caught herself. Instead, she offered Crystle, who was sitting up front, an awkward smile and continued on to her usual area. Flannigan's... she reminded herself. She knew she had seen Crystle outside of school somewhere, but soon recalled that it was in the resturaunt, before things got really weird... Sitting... she thought. With Sarah... She quickly shot her a glance, wondering if she had any idea of the events that occurred the prior night. |

| The hair on the back of Katie's neck stood straight up. She could feel it's slow rise prickling along her skin. This wasn't an unusual phenomenon for her and had been happening to her at certain moments since she was a small child. Therefore, at 17, she forgot to question the feeling and her actions following the feeling all together.
She leaned back in her chair to peer out the back door. Out of the corner of her eye, she was able to catch a quick glimpse of a girl limping toward the direction she knew the nurse's office was located. Leaning forward once again, and looking up to be sure the teacher wasn't paying any attention, she pulled her phone from her backpack quietly. Flipping it open, she tapped into her latest text messages. There were only two messages without a specific name assigned to them. The first message was from the night before, the other contained the picture used to mortify a fellow classmate of her's earlier that morning. Both messages were from the same number. This must be it... she thought, taking one more peek to make sure she wasn't caught by the teacher. "Army shirt...thought I heard your voice. Be good." was all she put into her phone before she hit the send key. |

| Kate looked up at Crystle as she sat down and offered a grateful smile.
"Thanks. This geography shit always got to me anyway. Give me names of people, battles, and inventions and I'm good." she said, turning the soft smile into a sheepish grin. She reached to the person in front of her as they met her half way to hand her the paper being passed out. She looked over the entire sheet for a fleeting moment, her usual custom when given any sort of assignment. However, her already short glance over the assignment was cut even shorter. "Talk to me about something?" She asked, almost bewildered by the statement. However, she caught her bearing before she even finished the sentence. "Oh...Yeah..." She paused. "I'm really worried about John." She confessed. "I'd like to help him, but I don't know how. I don't understand any of this, in all honesty." She reached into the pocket located on her blouce, just over her breast. "And I hope she's going to be alright too..." She mumbled, showing Crystle the note with the strange word Sarah had left her earlier. She took a quick glance up to the front, and as she suspected, the teacher wasn't paying them any mind. "She probably thinks we're already done with this thing, so I'm sure getting away with whispering in class won't be a problem." She added with a subdued giggle. |

| Katie sighed and shook her head. She glanced over her map and quickly filled out the answers she knew right off the top of her head.
"I don't want to say I don't believe you. Afterall, I was there in the woods last night with Cody. Another boy form this school, Evan was there also, and Sarah...or Sync...showed up at a point. I was looking for John...It was all so...surreal...but, it happened none the less." She paused. "But, if what you say is true, about this underworld, and some here being aware, well then...my own unawareness must be for a reason, and treading into water that I have no business being in would be highly disrespectful. If I am involved somehow, well, I'm sure something will make it clearer if its ever necessary." Skimming over her paper once more, she recalled several more answers and jotted them down. Looking ruefully at her sheet, she knew they were all she would accurately answer without looking anything up. "Now that I have that off my chest." She announced with a smile. "I do believe you." She glanced around the class for a moment before returning her attention to Crystle. "About this underworld shit at least...but it's going to take some convincing to get me to believe that you can actually turn someone into a toad." |

| Kate reached over and touched Crystle's arm lightly. She shook her head, as a signal as the other students filed out of the classroom.
"Usually they scheduel the drills..." One student said nonchalantly as they passed through the door. "Maybe this isn't a drill...?" Another said, a hint of panick evident in her voice. "No drill. No fire either." Katie whispered calmly to Crystle. As she rose to her feet, she took one final glance out the window. There were uniformed students directing the others as they made their way across the grass. "We should be able to find her there..." She mumbled, gesturing toward the uniformed students with the tilt of her head. "She hasn't been good afterall..." Katie groaned as she recalled the studend limping toward the nurse's office just before class started. |

And...you shoulda talked to me all last week and the week before. Sober Kat was hardly anywhere to be found.
Today was just all around hectic, but worthwhile. My boyfriend graduated with his BA degree today, and they called EVERY name...so it was a 4 hour ceremony. Haha. I'm going away to Disney/Universal Studios for a week the first week of June, so in all honesty, I'm not doing much else for my birthday. Both my boyfriend's parents and mine (Birthday present for me, and Birthday/Graduation/Congrats on getting into Law School for him) chipped in and the only cost he and I are concerned about is spending money. So...needless to say, we're all broke, since he and I are saving still, and...this trip is a pretty big deal. No need for more celebration.

Screw the Penguins. They knocked my Flyers out last year too...Damn Crosby and his skill. (If it wasn't for being so biased, I'd consider the guy an NHL god.) I offered to beat one of them up last year, but the security that accompanied them said that wasn't such a good idea. 
If you do move out here, and you become a Penguins fan, I'm disowning you in any way fathomable.
But yeah, let me know as soon as you know for sure, so I can either request off from work or an opening shift at least. Oh, and to answer Xeo...yes, I was 15. | Marty Broduer. Best goalie in the NHL, IMO. I'm biased toward the Devils too...but I was a goalie. I had role models. Didn't matter what team they played for, so I suppose it's easier to accept goal tenders for their skill and not who they play for. Marty Biron, Flyers goalie, sucks balls. I mean, he's alright. And technically they're all good. That's why they're in the pros and I'm not. But still....Biron has ONE fantastic season. Shame he let it all get to his head for this season. He's good still...but so...fucking...lazy!!!! Laziest goaltender I've ever seen. (Any NHL fans, don't quote me on this shit. I only bunch in players that have played in my lifetime, that I can remember, so in my comparisons, if there's a name of an old timer, odds are, you're probably right to correct me, but I'm not counting them. )
But...Flyers ended their season like balls. Just like them. They have their ups and downs, and then they have a streak of kicking MAJOR ass...(Scottie Hartnell is my best friend. Not really, but I wish he was.) I'm an honest fan at least. I'll admit if we suck...I may critique the balls off them, but I still love 'em. <3 **cough** I now have a new buddy to trade stats with all next season then, if you're not going to conform to the Flyers. You have officially become the one I will rush to gloat to, or...avoid like hell until the Penguin's "good" streak is over/overshadowed by the Flyers. XD Oh, and, to make my already long as shit post even longer... Back in November. Went to some Meet the Flyers thing. And this is me and Sport's Illustrated's none other than, Scotty Hartnell. One of the NHL's dirtiest players. XD (Who actually is a kickass guy. As evident in the picture, he stopped and paid 100% attention to me. All I did was thanked him for signing my Jersey, cuz you know, they're athletes, not slaves...and he stopped dead in his tracks, and no lie, stopped his line to have a longass conversation with me about hockey and I was sent to a Flyers game, on him.  |

| (I typed most of this up before Vulkar ninja posted me and kindly warned me about it. But, I'm not changing it. Despite the link he provided for this specific issue, there is still a general idea about this sort of topic.)
This really isn't much of a black or white issue here. I think there's a bit of a gray area here. In the name of preventing something like that from happening again, and from adding more substance to the voices behind the calls for certain actions (The "no turn on red" sign), I do not think he was wrong to take the pictures and post them even. Whether or not he should have waited to get permission, because the girl and her family do have a right to object to it, is yet another gray area. Sometimes you don't have time to wait. Action needs to be taken and decisions need to be made in an instant. So, the action taken could have been a measure to, like Rogue already said, put a face to the incident, in order to get something done about it. It was okay, in my opinion, for him to act instantly. BUT, it's also okay for the family to see this and demand that there be no more pictures published, and maybe even an appology if they are truly devastated by the pictures. |

| Katie, who had been a few steps ahead the entire time so that she could lead them to her car, finally turned back to face them.
"Alright. If anyone has anything to do, I'll happily give you a lift. If not, I'm going to make a stop back to that clearing from last night and take a look around." She said, fishing out the keys from her pocket and opening the passenger side. She then reached back and unlocked the back door before heading over to the driver's side to let herself in. "If anyone needs anything from their lockers, I suggest we do so after school. Students will still be allowed in and out if we get there earlier enough, with all the clubs and whatnot, but I think it'll be wiser to make our locker runs after most of the teachers have cleared out at least." |
