| Nina closed her eyes for a moment to block out the pain. She had her entire life to teach her body how to block out many heart wrenching sounds.
She was dizzy. Despite having her eyes closed, Nina could still feel the earth spinning. Once she was able to open her eyes, the vibrations coursing through her head now vanished, she let out a gasp. A man with long red hair leaned over her. To her surprise, he was not about to harm her. Even though she couldn't see around him completely, she knew his focus was in another direction, as though his body were blocking something from her. A few seconds later, Nina could see what fell to the ground. Her green eyes widdened in terror. "W...What's h-happening?" she stammered. One moment she was running errands, the next she was simply being curious...and suddenly, center city had erupted in chaos. Once again, her head was spinning. |

Nina huffed as she landed in the car. Despite her situation, instinct caused her to fasten her seatbelt anyways. Her hands rested at her stomach. Between her hands was the bottom of her braid. Twiddling her hair was a nervous tick of her's. "How do I know you aren't lying?" Nina asked, glancing around at the pictures. "If you were a bounty hunter and I haven't done anything wrong, why waste your time? I can't be useful if you're not a hundered percent I'd cooperate with you." She was grinning by the end of her statement. Selina's introduction put her naive mind at ease somewhat. |

| That's kinda...weird...why a 10 month suspension? It's always been demerits, week or so suspension at the most, and the next step would be expulsion. I mean, getting expelled would kinda suck, especially for something like giving a noogie...it's a lot simpler than a suspension...simpler for everyone...
Also...yeah, the kid denies it, but you know what? Odds are it's false. I'm sure there were harmless intentions, but it probably DID actually happen. **shrugs** |

| I pretty much do the same. I do it within my own company though, to be honest, but none of it really has to do with our corporate office as much as it does with employees in other stores. My boss is like UBER strict on certain things, but it's clearly obvious why she's so strict. Well, for one, if you're caught not carding people for M rated games (Grant it, this is realistic carding) you will be fired on the spot, no matter who you are what position you have, etc...and it's happened. So for one, she's protecting our jobs. Another, she's protecting us personally.
So, when several people come in, literally getting in my face and hollering at me about their kids being sold M rated games, I look into the issue. For a little while, it was someone from another store. Different angry parents, but the same name on the receipt. So, naturally I called their store manager and ratted them out. **shrugs** I'm not ashamed of it. I was sick of being embarassed and treated like shit in my own store when it wasn't even my, or anyone in my staff's, fault. Honestly, I'm too busy to be a "real" letter-writer. I do enough "trying to save the world" as it is, so unless it's a REALLY big deal to me, I really don't go into that stuff. Not saying I wouldn't. If these babies they have grew up to form some elite group of scientists who could cure the world of all it's illness. XDXD I can't help it. I think this is soooo dumb. Kinda hits home to me a bit. My parents weren't THAT stupid. None of their friends made any PACTS or anything...but my mom and her best friends all had kids around the same time. My best friend that I grew up with and I are only 5 days apart.  Some of us are about a year or so apart...but like...it's weird. The same thing kinda happened to me I guess (As in I was the result of the "trend" of pregnancies)
Wanna know the funny thing? One of us is one year away from finishing law school, another is in medical school, another almost finished with her major in engenieering...and I'm not doing so bad myself wither. Irony at it's finest.
I just think these dumb bitches are....tyuoreyhjgkdf...It was pretty hard for my friends and I growing up too, ya know? Not saying woe is us...but like it was hardship due to something that our parents did and that was out of our control sometimes. So like...yeah. They're dumb. I don't care about the insecurity aspect. We're all insecure. They need to get over it another way. |

| Alrighty....the title is pending, but this is what I'm basing the RP from. "Folklore." It's a game for PS3 that I highly recommend everyone googling before posting your character.
I have been toying with ideas for a while now. I don't wish to emulate the game entirely, or play this as a sequel, prequel, or "what-if" type of dealie. There are certain aspects of the RP, the entering in and out of the realm of the dead, paranormal and psychological, that I want to play off of, but that's about all. With that said, I actually want to see characters and their info before I decide on a final plot. The game itself is a role-playing game. These games focus on characters and their stories for the most part. So, basically, as long as the characters and their stories follow the general feel of the game (Well, that type of story I mean.) then they'll be fine.
I don't really care if everyone posts their characters here, PMs them to me, or both. But I'm really depending on the characters for my story, so.... I'll post a character of my own at some point tonight too. Whether or not it's just a simple edit or a new post depends on whether or not others post here as well. So if anyone happens to glance at this, be sure to double check this first post for my charrie if anyone wants any more guidelines, that is... | Honestly, best advice I can think of concerning diets is to consult a doctor.
Books and advice from friends may be helpful. Others' insight may be very well informed also. However, they do not have the records of the history of your health. They do not know everything that runs in your family and what things you actually have to worry about and don't. (Just because something runs in the family doesn't mean you have to get it...but just because something doesn't run in the family doesn't mean you won't get it.) And don't freak, I'm not talking things like serious illnesses. Something simple. The way your metabolism works, for example, can be hereditary. There are sooo many different "diets" out there...and most of them don't work anyways. Doctors know though. Like me for example. I do heavy walking every day. I'm on my feet ALL DAY at work, I walk to the bus stop, I walk from the bus stop. I get a lot more exercise than you'd think in just those three little things, and they're the daily routine, not the stuff I do on purpose to stay healthy. However, that's GREAT for me. Walking. Jogging and running on occasion. Staying on my feet. Moving. But that goes back to the doctor stuff. Heart disease runs in my family, and I have to go get another test for it myself at the end of this month, because my doctor didn't like the results of my last test. So, all that cardio stuff is PERFECT for me. Other people it might not help as much as something else. If you're serious about dieting, and with you HAVING to stay fit for your carrer anyway, I'm sure you are....then I IMPLORE you to talk to your doctor/physician/army people/whatnot. Otherwise, you may hurt yourself or in the very least, work your ass off on something that doesn't even help you in the end anyway. |

Just do what you want.**shrugs** Don't define something as going out or staying in. If you're in the mood for something, then just do it. However, I think I know what you're getting at...about that "in-between" kinda thing. Correct me if I've got it all wrong, by all means...you want to do something other than choice A, or choice B, but you don't want to do something that involves HAVING to be at a certain place at 6:00pm every Wednesday evening. I think I may have achieved that "in-between" myself, if I am understanding correctly, and again, your correction is expected, since this is merely a suggestion meant to help you anyway... Imerse yourself in something. For me, it started in the beginning of the summer as being so fed up with my present academic situation that I was willing to change my entire career plan around. I disovered an art school, investigated it, and found out that it could very well be a wise gate-way into my dream anyway, and if not, still lead to something exciting and something that I would love to do with my life anyway. I then took the tour, got the interview and acceptance into the school. Who knew I was actually good enough to get in.
But anyway, now I find myself getting into this. Just art in general. I still wanna do something in film, special effects maybe, but for fun, I've been getting into other things too. When I'm "inside"(because realistically, you're physically either inside or out. ) I've been concocting all sorts of ideas, for comics, future projects, movie ideas...I've read books (fun books, not Dr. Phill-this-is-the-only-way-to-accomplish-things books) on film...anything to do with the making of it. Basically just to extend my knowledge on certain subjects, and now my head is always spinning. Something exciting has always been going on in my mind lately. This also affects how I look at things outside too...I can hardly look at advertizements without seeing the pixels that make up the ad, without thinking of the placement, the color, and mapping out in my mind whether or not I think it's a successful piece of advertizement, and WHY it is successful.
I still have to go to work a lot, and I still do things like play video games, go on the computer, go out with friends/family. That sort of thing is kind of unavoidable. No matter what, we all socialize with others, and we also need to do what relaxes us from time to time....but...I'm also always excited. I'm excited about starting this school, excited about the fact that I get to do a lot of the advertizing in my store now (it's kinda like practice now. ) I'm really just into this kind of thing. It feels like I'm doing more than going to work and relaxing when I'm home, and then going out on my days off. It's really hard to explain, the feeling, but life doesn't feel too mundane anymore...
So, if my description is accurate to what you are seeking...it's more of an inner kind of mentality than an outter. No one can MAKE you see things from a certain perspective and excite yourself over what you're seeing. **shrugs** |

| Force Unleashed is going to kick ass.
Too bad the sonuvabitch got pushed back....more than once I believe. =/ But it's one of the few games that I have actually reserved and have paid in full. As far as the apprentice's name....that was the name Lucas had planned out for Luke. Skywalker was NOT in the original script. Yay for useless knowledge.
And if that is the name, (this I haven't looked into too much) then that's actually pretty awesome, if you're a SW movie buff. Hmmmm...I totally forget how to do the spoiler tag, but it's info that's been leaked, so.... The game itself takes place in the realm between episodes III and IV, and your jedi is a secret apprentice of Darth Vader. As far as gameplay, the powers look pretty kickass. You get a kickass force pull in the beginning that only gets better. Also, it's a tad bit more realistic. So when you're strong enough to move ships or whatever, don't pull them toward you, cuz you'll kinda like...die...you know, cuz you just got smacked in the face with a spaceship.
