| Yay! Facekicking!
I kinda intended that Boss.(I loved Leon and Benja's loyalty, and I see it as a nickname for ya, so hush.  ) We kinda had a clique going on here. Everyone wanted to be a part of it. It not only drew members to sign up, but it drew them into the activity. Not saying that clique was perfect. There was a lot of drama...but...we're older now. Let's learn from the previous drama, and set an example for the new youngins.
Btw...TP. You're my favorite. And am I the only one who thinks Thex is a sweetheart? A cynical sweetheart...but sweet nonetheless. :p |

I actually liked Final Destination.  Interesting concept, if you ask me.
"The Invisible" guy is hawt. I like everything no one else seems to like. DBZ Live Action Movie is looking pretty awesome to me. ~_^ Besides, all this means is Japan will step in to correct our sometimes missled American minds.  |

| I remember getting into this when I was about 12. There's a comic book shop around where I used to live, so I wasn't buying whole graphic novels, per se, but I bought some comics of several series. Ah! Megami-Sama was one of them. I only have like 5 random comics though. None in any particular order, I just bought what they had at the time. (This was when I was getting into Anime/Manga, mind you, and I was looking into things based off the type of artwork...and boy was I surprised at times! Haha)
But I remember it being kinda awesome. Skuld was my favorite, from the little I know of this series. |

Alice kept a hand clasped firmly across her lips. She followed without a fight as Fancy Mel led her around with her. Once they seemed to be stationary, Alice did what she hated the most. She found the best place to hide she could, in the short amount of time she had. Out of sight. Out of mind. That was usually her motto. Alice hated herself for it, but she knew no better way to protect those around her. She didn't know how to control her power, no matter how hard she tried. Even if danger wasn't directed at her directly, some were prone to pay close attention to her. Attention that would be vital for their own defense. If she wasn't there to be protected, she was no hassle. Slowly, once the noise came to a cease, Alice rose to her feet, dusting off her black and white plaid skirt. Her green eyes, which was now filled with many more people than she previously saw. Not knowing what to say, Alice simply glanced around, trying to take in the scenery, while twirling a strand of red hair in her fingers, a nervous tick of her's. |

| I just saw this tonight.
My reaction? My boyfriend worded it nicely. I was having a "nerdgasm" the whole time. Both previous comments I couldn't agree more with though. Like Rogue said, it really was like the X-Files meets National Treasure.
But it was also not to bad being "unrealistic." My boyfriend pointed out a few things, like how there was no blood when there obviously should have been. Ehh...had to keep the PG rating somehow. (PG, PG13, whatever it was...) It wasn't the GREATEST thing out there...but for the damned thing being the 4th movie in a world where sequels can mean the death of something great, Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull was pretty damned kickass.
I didn't care too much for Shia LeBuff(sp?) I usually like the guy...but the poor kid has a long way to go before I can see him in a truly mature role (Basically un-EvenStevens kinda thing.) Disturbia was good. He was slightly more serious, but a goofy teenage boy still...it was a nice mix. I think the guy has a decent career ahead of him if he makes the transition slowly. But...I just wasn't feeling him for this movie. And like I predicted from the preview...Lucas and Speilberg did NOT do what I feared most about this movie--Ignore Indy's age. :p They made sure you saw his age, without making Indy un-kickass. (I mean, there were still some "unrealistic" tendencies, but like Val said, it's only a movie.)
And the cinematography...absolutely breathtaking. EVERYTHING about it. The costumes, the set... And Marion and Indy? That crapola got too campy for me at times. I mean, I liked the suspense in the begining. I still kinda knew it would be one of Indy's old girls (I read NO rumors/spoilers of this movie prior to seeing it tonight) but then once you met her, it was like "BAM! We're SOOOOO in love!" |
