| I had problems sleeping while I was in high school. BIG problems. But it was weird. I wasn't like the "average" teenager. You know, how they supposedly sleep a lot? I got up 5:30am for school EVERYDAY, didn't get to bed until maybe 1:00am...Only got sleepy enough to take a nap during the day if I was getting sick or something. **shrugs** But 1-5:30 was plenty for me then. It was like my biological clock didn't let me sleep any longer than that. And it if was a good sleep, straight through, just that amount had me bright-eyed, bushy-tailed in the morning.
Now, I'm having "issues" with sleeping...I sleep too much. It doesn't matter what time I go to bed...as long as I'm left alone, I can sleep 12 hours...or take several naps throughout the day (when I can), and even if I am bothered...any less than 10, and I'm a miserable sonuvabitch. But for some reason...my mom went through the same thing. Didn't sleep like the average teenager, but slept her 20's away. Dunno if that's "normal" or if there's something hereditary or not... If sleep is THAT much of an issue...investigate your family history. Hopefully they can give you better advice than my mother did..."Have a baby at 18...THEY'LL keep you awake..." Teehee. As far as sleep methods...**shrugs** Nyquill might do the trick. I've actually taken it once, just to go to sleep. Nagis' trick actually works...Or...**shrugs** I listen to anime music. Yes. Anime music. It's usually soooo pretty and soothing! The Final Fantasy VIII Soundtrack has some pretty music...lately, and it's odd that I've stumbled upon it, but I'm thrilled I did...the soundtracks to all three "Tenchi Muyo!" movies, (The soundtrack to the third movie being my favorite) has REALLY helped calm my nerves. So who knows...even if you don't think something is bothering you...maybe there is, your body is upset with something going on, and you weren't aware. I'm probably not making any sense here, since, ironically, I'm pretty damned tired at the moment, but...**shrugs** Hopefully SOMETHING works for you. |

Anyway...it makes me stop and think...and you know, really look at it. Cool thing is, it's a simple piece of work. I like it, either way, but I can't help but ponder if I think the figure is too feminine for Dumbledore, or not. But then again...a sort of femininity seems right for him...and NOT because of the whole "gay announcement." Masculine women, and feminine men doesn't imply homosexuality. **sigh** But anywho...that's what I like best about it. To me, it sticks out and kinda makes me stop and really consider how I view the character myself.  |

| Hmmm....only thing that kinda...doesn't seem right is...Nagis' head is a bit bigger than is should be it seems...I don't know though. Could be just me.
Other than that...It's really cute. It does kinda of remind me a little of Inu Yasha and Ranma....but...I don't know. In certain situations, that type of artwork is quite charming, and naturally, I think you've captured just that. "cute" doesn't even seem to cut it..."Charming"...I think I nailed my opinion there. (And in case both of our definitions of those words are different, from my side, "charming" is the better one, so no worries. ) |

| I REALLY wanna see this movie too.
In all honesty, I think it's an extra-terrestrial attack of some sort. **shrugs** Dunno why, but that was the first thing I thought of, and now I can't shake the idea. So...only seeing this movie will prove me right or wrong.
In all honesty, there are a lot of things that excite me about this film. Such as the fact that the threat is a "guarded Hollywood sectet" as Nucklearknight stated. Hollywood hasn't been truly glamorous, or exciting in a LONG time, I think...so...**shrugs** I dunno. Even if the movie ends up sucking...it has something that's got me wondering, so I don't care. |

**shrugs** I'm sure it IS important, but not sure... Clover...green...plants...bacteria... Field...lots of green....plants...bacteria... Cuz from the preview, people get sick or something, don't they? (I didn't watch the preview posted here, so I dunno if it's different or not, and my computer was being WAY too slow, so I didn't feel like waiting it out...) I don't know. It's a corny analysis, and it's something I did just off the top of my head now...but...I really don't know what the name could mean. And I'm still sticking by the fact that I think the threat is aliens. Teehee. Why? Because...well, movies go through cycles...a certain genre will come out, or it will be the genre most used for a certain timespan. Science fiction hasn't been used much lately...not as much as the others at least...so maybe it's finally sci-fi's turn.
That and January/February is usually when Hollywood releases the films that they don't think will make as much as the others planned out for the year. Why? Because a good chunk of the country is still broke from Christmas...Like, enough of a chunk to cause the box offices to drop a bit. Ya know? The idea of an extra-terrestrial film...I know I like sci-fi...I know a lot of people who do...but I don't think a movie about aliens would make as much as the other movies do...right now at least. Ehh...nuff sleepy, senseless ranting. |

| Admit you were wrong? Dude...Wtf, whoever said that needs to be kicked in the head. Seriously. If that's how you truly felt at a certain point, then you weren't wrong. Now, if you were a douche about your opinions, then THAT could be considered wrong, but I'm not going to go into specifics of the situation. If you had an opinion...the act of having an opinion is NOT wrong. <---one thing I wanted to address.
Another...15? 17? NOT a big difference. Also, hypocricy is one thing...change is another. So what if you grew a bit and your thoughts and opinions changed? That happens! They only way I would consider it hypocritical (if you dated said chick) is if your attitude was "Well...it's wrong for everybody else...just not for me.) Dude, there's so many levels of this situation...such as those mentioned, and the part about 15 and 17 not being THAT big of a deal, but if you know someone who has a larger age gap...you're entitled to feel that it's odd, and NOT be a hypocrite. I dunno. Why this thread irked me a bit, I don't know. Must be seriously PMSing or something. Haha. But seriously. You're not wrong, as far as the whole "hypocricy" thing goes. | Holly watched, her eyes widened in shock as Leon met his fate. She flinched as he screamed, balling her hands into fists and casting her glance down to the side.
When it was all over, she did not look up. Instead, she collapsed to her knees and leaned against Alden, letting out a breath of defeat. Her shard...the last thing her mother left behind...was gone. Eric, with whom she had grown quite fond of, was injured. Her father, the man who suprised her the most in the recent days, was injured. Despite the kidnapping, Holly had aquired a certain affection for Brad, who was injured as well. Seifer...Leon...Almost everybody was taken down in one way or another. But...it was over. Josiah had been defeated. There was no reason for her to fake strength anymore. She took in a deep breath and held it for a moment. Still slumped against Alden, who was standing beside her, she buried her head in her hands, letting out a quivering breath of air which turned into sobs. | The familiar sound from behind her pulled Holly out of her daydream.
She turned toward the sound, strands of her now layered, shoulder length hair, whisping softly against her cheek. Five years had passed. Holly was the same in many ways. She was still hot-headed and short-tempered. However, the events of the past had caused her to mature greatly. The time that had passed had also brought on change...much more visible change. When she turned to face the man behind her, she placed her left hand over the small bump hiding her previously flat tummy, a personal habit she had recently picked up. More than not, she did it without realizing it. On her left ring finger, a small, but elegant gold ring with a tiny emerald on top, glistened as she stepped from the shadow casted by Leon's statue. Holly smiled down at the man, a soft blush warming her cheeks. Her pride still rarely allowed her to show signs of many of her moments...thinking deeply being one of them. "Henry..." She says, a warm smile spread across her rosy lips and a playful tone t her voice. |

| Holly tilted her head and smiled as she rose back to her full height of about five feet.
NOW he stays out of things... she thought to herself with an exasperated sigh. However, Holly did not question Henry. She simply smiled and waved as he made his way back the way he came. As Alden made his way onto the scene, Holly greeted him with a raised eyebrow. After the events five years ago, Holly had not seen much of Alden and still didn't know what to make of him. She glanced around for a moment before looking back at Alden, only this time, despite the ice in her eyes, her stare was warm. This was perhaps the first time she was with the man alone. She couldn't help but laugh on the inside, all the frustrations she felt toward the man years ago flooding back into her head. Those frustrations had simply vanished. Vanished the day, she knew, that he put his hand on her shoulder as she cried. "You know..." She says coyly. "I wanted to get you like this...alone...so badly." She grinned. She was not taunting Alden. She was simply being playful. "And you know what? I probably would have tried to kill you." She adds with a giggle. "Everybody is getting ready inside..." she said, tilting her head toward the courthouse for a brief second. "If its to pay your respects to Edgar and Leon, don't let me distract you." | [rant]Fuckers like those Westboro assholes piss me the fuck off. This isn't a rant/attack against any specific religiom or anything...just THOSE bastards. People like that insult me. I'm not the most devote Christian in the world, but I know my academics and thus, I have achieved an understanding of the Bible that I've noticed fucktards like them don't seem to get. My own opinions on homosexuality aside, the bible does NOT say it is wrong to BE gay. It says its wrong to commit gay ACTIONS. So the Bible is a good source if one is going to say that's why THEY'RE against homosexual actions and why they chose not to act that way. That's fine. It's an individual's opinion, and they're not hurting anybody simply by holding that opinion. However, what the Bible DOES command is that we are not to pass judgement. No one is perfect, and this so called "god" they're fighting for like this, makes known in the Bible that he is just as unhappy with those who pass judgement, taking over HIS job for him, as he would be with, say, someone who commits a homosexual act.[/rant]
I know that was off topic, and I am always willing for other opinions when I decide to open my mouth on a controversial topic. So, in order for this not to turn into a debate, I welcome PMs if I am wrong about anything... And the whole being sad about the Heath Ledger thing...Like Elara and others have said, it's just saddening when things like that happen to anyone...but...I'm human. I'm not going to ruin my own life by allowing myself to mourn for every death, since death occurs every seconds. But the ones that are brought to my attention can not be ignored. It's not just that, but the whole fussing over celebrity thing...I always saw it as this; I'm still alive. There are certain things that I am used to in my life that I hold on to. Most, if not all, humans are like this. When something we know is gone, we're kinda like "Woah..." **shrugs** |
