| Nina gasped as Nathaniel had been taken out for a moment.
Suddenly, it went from two to four. Nina let out a shout as two of them approached her. Slowly, she backed up, accidentally knocking into the desk chair. For a second the chair startled her, but her mind was quickly put into motion. She backed up again, kicking into the chair on purpose. She was going to back herself into the corner and shove the chair at one of them as hard as she could. She knew there was no way she would have been able to get past two of them, and she had a better chance charging past one while the other stumbled to regain his balance. But, before she could put her plan into action, they had fallen. She screamed at the sound of the shots. Then, as the two fell, she could see that Nathaniel had one of the four figures pinned down. Quickly, she lept over the two bodies and ran over to her teacher. "What the hell?!" |

| She gripped his arm as he fired the gun. She flinched as the vapor flew over them and to the unconscious body.
She shook her head. "You knew him..." She says, letting go of Nathaniel's arm. She made her way to his desk chair and sat herself down. "Pardon my nosiness if you must...but I'd appreciate an explanation." Her head was swimming. She wanted to get her friend back. However, this time it was serious, and she was trying as best as she could to try and be rational, so as not to walk into a mine, as usual, and make things worse. It was important that she took the time to learn and think. |

**shrugs** I like New Year's Eve. It's something my neighborhood does for the kids though, ya know? No school, no one had work the next day ('cept I did this year) so I remember being all excited when I was really little, staying up, watching all sorts of cartoon specials on TV, and then going outside and making as much noise as I could without getting my ass beat. It's not too bad though, like my gram's block, two doors down and next door to her are some of my cousins, and right around the corner are some more of my cousins, and then everybody else, they're all people that are like family because they've lived there since before I was born. So it was just like we could see some of the fireworks, and all of us kids, as I said before, were allowed to make as much noise as we wanted.  This year it was great, the kids had a ball.
 I brought home silly string...several cases of it...nuff said. XD
**shrugs** I dunno. It's just something that's kinda fun. And it's more of a family holiday than anything for me, so I guess I enjoy it so much cuz I'm not out getting drunk and forgetting half the night. That's what weekends are for. XD (If I drank much that is. I have more fun being sober sometimes.) The whole New Year's kiss thing...I usually don't. I hate that shit actually. Well, I can't say HATE it, but I'm not the romantic type and when it comes to that kinda stuff, there's a big "fuck you" stamped across my forehead. But this year I did...but...It was just a normal kiss, ya know? Just because it was 12:00 midnight of 2008, didn't make it different. I just wanted to kiss him.  |

New Year's was fun. I think I already posted about this in another thread though. Didn't really go out, I just stayed close to home really. Not much of a partier. All in all though, I can't complain. Having the whole college thing, the whole month off between semesters, is nice. Now that the holidays have wound down a bit, I still have ALL next week that I don't have to worry about school. So days off will be "days off" and now "zomg, I have class. Zomg, and homework."

| Hmmm....to address the whole "dying in your sleep" kinda thing...I've had dreams where I've died. **shrugs** It's a dream. The subconscious in your brain. I don't think if you die in your sleep, you die in real life. Odd thing is, the dreams where I've died, they weren't nightmares at all. No matter how weird a dream is, (the few that I remember), it's only a nightmare if something feels odd.
Like in the dreams in which I've kicked the bucket, it wasn't in some horrific accident or anything, but I wasn't really old or anything either. The places and people were all according to the present, but like...it didn't feel weird to just be sitting there and just like...be dead. I only have those dreams when I think about what it's like to die, too much. A quote sums it up perfectly for me, but I forget who said it. "Death doesn't scare me at all, but dying scares the hell out of me." So...without getting into thoughts on death, all I'll say is I think about that quote from time to time, then have dreams about death, but they're rarely nightmares. It's so odd. |

| They're right, Vampire Boy. Absolutely right. There are still TONS of options out there. I understand it's a bit hard. We all do. A good chunk of us here are all about the same age. We're all dealing with the whole "growing up" thing and figuring out where we are.
It blows. And sometimes, out of frustration, you just wanna sit back and say "fuck it all" and then go through with just not caring. It's okay to do the first part. It's okay to just stop everything, sit back, and just let frustration out, in certain ways of course, but you're not dumb, so I don't need to map out specific ways to handle frustration. Shit, it's even okay to do what you just did. I've done it. Publicly announce how much your life sucks...do it among a bunch of peers. Why? Because there are people there that can stand up and say "Hey buddy, my life sucks too. Get in line." And as long as there are people who can turn around and say that to you, that means you are NOT alone, and since you're not alone, you have a network for help. Nobody can get up and make you do anything. All that physical stuff, you gotta go on your own, but at least people can try to help you out mentally and emotionally. (Mentally: Offer some advice and suggestions. Emotionally: Helping you to not feel so alone at least.) |

**pees her pants** Anywho...I didn't see the second or third resident evil movies. The first one...I didn't care too much for. Not because of the whole "movie/videogame" thing. I LOVED the first Final Fantasy movie. I know how to take something for what it is, and not make TOO much comparison. However, the first one was just...not enough. I felt unfulfilled. Which is why I prolly should watch the other two. Even if they're bad...I wanna be able to at least bitch from my own personal experience... But...anywho...teh trailer....I think I just creamed my pants. |

But honestly...I'm not THAT much of a buff. There are TONS of newer films that I haven't seen. **shrugs** A lot of the movies (good movies) I saw because we happened to watch them in my english/film class my senior year of high school...my film class last year in college...and then the rest...well...I DO like movies. So of course I've seen some on my own.
**shrugs** Only explaining so much because I was surprised I scored so high on the thing. I thought it was gonna ask you questions at random about the movies or something, then I got to the bottom. =/ Anywho...since I am into films and respect the hell outta the true movie people, I'm just putting it out there that I got lucky. So I'm telling you now, without at least trying to call for help...I'm not chancing further injury..." She knew she wouldn't be able to convince Leon to change his mind. In fact, she was almost certain that Leon didn't have much choice in the matter anyway. The only thing she hoped to accomplish now, was to offer Leon and Seifer a chance to speak alone. Slowly, she rose to her feet. She looked back at Seifer and smiled sadly, hoping he would take the opportunity to talk with Leon, now that she wasn't acting as his shadow. She then turned and made her way over to Alden. "I'd like to try and get these communication devices working, sir." |
