| I'm just going to add my two cents in here, but I'm going to point out that I didn't read the much of the first page of this thread...
I am glad to see something like this...Not only for religious freedom and things like that, but I think that with pentacles being allowed on graves, it slowly, but surely will bring more awareness toward a specific religion. Personally, I don't think one can truly respect their own religions without respecting the views of other religions (respecting something and converting are two different things. Keep that in mind). It just...I can't explain it, but I feel that respect is key, and in order to truly respect something, one should attempt to learn as much as they can about it. With the pentacles being there for people to see, then questions will be asked and then they will seek answers. 
Again, this is something that's been on my mind since I've seen the title of the thread, and I didn't read much after the first post of the first page. Also, as one of the moderators of this forum, I am going to have the last word in as far as the little argument goes. Both parties were wrong with the way they handled the situation, and TP did not do anything wrong. Vidar, your point is clearly seen and I respect that. So please, everyone here respect me by taking any comments about this argument to me in PMs. Thank you! |

That's really...infuriating, to say the least. What pisses me off more is that there are people out there that make a good thing seem like a bad thing. Like the Muslims after 911...they are being discriminated against because a few radicals are doing bad things under a name of something that is actually a very peaceful and loving thing.

Same with all other religion. I'm sorry, but I accept all beliefs. I don't know all, and I am not claiming to, but everything that I do know...all religion have the same core values...to be good people and stuff like that. But like the title says...it's all ignorance. A lot of it seems to be coming from the younger generation of Catholics and other various Christian denominations. Which I don't understand why. I was raised in the Catholic Chruch. Why do I feel so open minded? Because my family, teachers, and religious men and women of my Church have taught me those values. All my life I grew up with nuns and priests accepting everything and being intelligent about things...taking the time to understand other religions so that they can accept them better, while staying true to their own. As far as I know, the older (but not too old) generation was a bit more accepting of things, it was mostly the people in power who didn't accept things and they're the ones who matter, sadly enough. So to my suprise, upon entering high school, I saw stuff like you're going through, Pockets. I was honestly caught off guard by it. I'm used to seeing it now, but it's still so frustrating. People don't need to convert. There's no point to religion if you don't stay true to your beliefs. I just wish they would take the time to learn and TRY to understand.

This is disgusting. The day I heard about this, I was at the funeral of a high school senior I knew who was in a car accident (Yes Xeios, the Lacey thing. My cousin was in that accidnet. She and Lacey were best friends) and when my step-dad said something about him distraught over the grief of his expensive pants, I was like "Dude. I just watched two parents bury their baby. THAT'S grief." I know, kinda random to compare this to a totally different topic, but I heard of this on the day of the funeral and soon as I heard that he was grieving over the pants or something like that, I just like immediately made the connection and was like "Wtfuck?!"

However, I don't think there should be a sub forum or anything for it. Maybe it's just my own personal opinion, but I don't think things are more interesting if they're alluded to...with more left to the imagination. I'm not saying that this RP should be prudish. It can be much more explicit than other RPs, but I'm sure we can find a ground where we don't have to worry about where to place the RP and still be able to have fun with it. Like if there's going to be sexual relations between the characters, there is the PM system. Both people can discuss how they'll play that out so that they can interact in the RP with suggestion and get what the other peson means...I dunno. Maybe it's just me though. **shrugs** It's just much more hawt when it gets close, then cuts to another scene. :p

But yeah, as far as trying to incorporate Carnage, and having to make things up...I'd prefer that. And C'mon. Venom's death was WAY too cheesy...he's coming back somehow. But yeah...Like books, movies, comics...anything...if you can't make it EXACTLY as the original, then I'd rather them do just the opposite, ya know? I mean, using Spiderman for example, keeping a lot of the actual comics in mind is ALWAYS a must. But that's just it. I'm more appreciative when the original creator and the director/producers get together to collaborate, but still allow it to stand on its own. Making compairsons will only cause disappointment.

Name: Tabitha Frankford Nickname: Tabby (nothing out there, but it'll fit her I suppose) Age: 17 (Just to make her profession all the more "scandalus" XD) Sex: Female Sexual Preference: Both Body-type: 5"3 and slim yet toned. Pale skin but tans nicely during the warner months. Wavy, shoulder length blonde hair and dark green eyes. Clothing: Skimpy, whether on the clock of off the clock. History: The usual: dysfunctional family. Sexually abused by her father and older brother as a child. Left to take care of herself for the most part. Personality: Calm and collected, with her insecurities masked beneath her coy smiles and tempting words. While her school career went down the drain years ago, Tabby has managed to achieve a level of street intelligence notmany young women her age can and live to tell about it. Special Abilities: Seduction has always been a close ally and whenever that fails, having perfect aim with small guns and knives has come in handy.
