I do well with tests. I think it just may be my outlook on them though. I wake up in the morning, realize that I don't wanna go to school, and then think through the day which if my classes are going to be easy for the day. There's lunch, art, and music. Art and music isn't always easy, but they're always fun, so yeah...The rest of my classes, if I have a test, they usually take the whole period, or the class if given the entire period...so those classes go by pretty quick, thus making the day go by quicker. When I look at it that way, I automatically relax. **shrugs** Sounds kinda weird I guess...

I usually pay attention in class and all, being as I have to do exceptionally well to get grants, or I don't go to college. Period. So with that kinda pressure, I do exceptionally well in school, and tests are pretty simple. I just pay attention, a rather than study I review bit by bit every night usually, so yah...not having to study takes away from the pressure.

Yah, I'm with Des, the taking deep breaths and stuff...never worked for me either. Basically what Dessee said works for me as well. Talk to your friends and stuff....do anything like that to relax you. Also, if it's something that you truly love...which I think it is, because you're nervous. Even if you were playing and didn't really like it, you prolly wouldn't care enough to have stage fright...

So, assuming that it's something you truly love, my advice to you is to just play. It's not one of those "sounds easier than it is" either...for me it isn't at least, as well as other people. Just look at your music and play. Have fun and just enjoy yourself.

I personally think that studying does more harm than good. For some people at least. When people "study", they usually have a ton of work in front of them, they're freaking out over a test that's in a few days and all that extra pressure. Take 15 minutes like 3 times a week, or every night if you have to or something (like me, I can't retain a lot of information too well, so I review every night.) and just go over the stuff. Pay attention in class, and just review. Odds are, the review will only be something to jog your memory anyway. Also, if you do that ahead of time, you'll be able to come up with little tricks to help you remember certain things and all that stuff. I guess all that's easier said then done though.

I'm not going to vote yes or no until I see more feedback in this thread. As Ibegan reading, it sounded like a wonderful idea...and then I kept reading and I see the points of both sides. To be perfectly honest, nothing pisses me off more than flaming. Spamming is just off topic crap and all...but when you get down to it, flamming is something that is downright mean. So I wouldn't want to advocate flamming. Then again, if we get enough votes here...I mean there is a yes OR no option...so people wouldn't be able to say "Oh I didn't like the idea, but never got the chance to say so."

Now this movie, Kung Fu Hustle...I've heard personally from people who have seen it that it was fucking kickass too....so I really look foreward to trying to get to the movies to see this one
