Being homeschooled, I naturally have a biased opinion on this.

Here where I live, most schools start at seven, and end at two thirty. That is, of course, at least six hours(not counting lunch) of constant school work. Then, they would have to go home, and have another two hours of school.

But you know what's funny? I get all of my school(learning, doing the work, writing, and all that) done in a little more than two hours. Now, the elementary school if a lot easier, so why do they need eight hours to get everything done? Couldn't it just be done in around...say, three hours?

I honeslty am not too against the idea of banning homework, but that's just me.

Alarath looked at the woman with dry lips. Why on earth had she gone into this desert without a proper water supply?

He looked at everyone else. "You know, they should put up a sign here. 'WARNING, this is the desert of doom. Certain death lies ahead, and don't forget to bring water. Oh, but if you want to commit suicide, this is the place. See, Hell fears this place, so it lies to heaven to pick up the dead."

He looked around. He wasn't holding any water, but he gestured toward the others. "Someone get this woman some water."

He wasn't in charge, but he had a feeling no one would mind him giving that little order.

"On that subject," Vulkar said. "When did you first come in to watch Lost, what do you enjoy about it, and who is your favorite character?" He looked around, at the people who had never watched Lost. For their sake, he asked, "Also, what other TV shows do you enjoy watching?"

"Let's move on to another topic," Vulkar said. "You're well known as a simbattler. Tell us, how did you first get into simbattling, and how skilled were you when you first began at it? Also, what RPGs have you been in, and what do yuo enjoy about them?"

Vulkar would have asked about Leon's character, but someone could just look at any battle Leon had had and figure it out.

The voting ended, and Saijin was executed. A few hours later, another message appeared on the door of every person's house.

"Yet again you fail to follow the ideas of Evolution. We shall be victorious, and you shall die. You have killed one of your own, and tonight we shall work to kill you. Tomorrow, If For All, you shall die. We will be victorious soon, you other brothers can't deny."

Now the town waits, hoping that they won't be the next victim.

Oh, and I made the clues pretty much dead obvious this time, I'm hoping you'll at least try and follow them

Alarath shook his head and wondered, why oh why didn't they take a gun with them into this desert? He wished that they could just leave that new girl. She was weak, and could easily cost them their lives. He mocked the situation, but that didn't mean he didn't know how serious it was.

He shook his head, grabbed two large handfulls of snad, and began running. The sand would be in invaluable resource, as he could just heat it up in his hand, and throw it at the creatures as they passed by.

He watched as Vincent took the front, held the sand carefully, and charged. This would be interesting.

Well, another murder is about to happen, so you just guessed before it happened.

The townspeople all seperated for the night, until they heard a scream. They rushed towards it, only to discover it had come from the middle of the street, where Lord Alexander lay, dead.

Attached to his body is another note, it merely said, "We have succeeded again. We have befriended vampires, we have allied with monsters, we work in the night, and we will kill you all. We have killed true friends, we have killed active members on this board, we have tried to kill others, and now we've killed a member with only 99 posts. We killed him before he could reach 100, just to spite him!

"Now we work as the samuri, use their weapons, and kill you until this ends. Have fun!"

Vulkar nodded. "So I hear that you like anime. Tell me, what style of anime do you like, what are some of your favorites, and how about a why for each of the questions?"

He was going to get a bit deeper into Leon's life soon, but he figured he should just cover the first layer of things first, things that weren't too important.

And that, Belial, is the main problem with public schooling. They can't specialize with one student and make sure that he's provided for. Instead, they insist that the students spend hours listening to a teacher who barely even knows what he or she is teaching.

Then they try and makes the students learn through writing it down, which, unfortunately, if they can't learn through listening, has no affect. So, realistically, a single person can't teach a large room of twenty students. They can't meet every student's needs, or teach them properly.

Of course, that's going way off topic, into a realm of completely unrelated to homework. So, is it good?

I'd say that it has its place, at times. However, usually it is unneccesary. Students should be taught to teach themselves, or be taught in classrooms no larger than four people.
