| You know... I used to think it was difficult to find people with a similar interest in the macabre, which is what this discussion could be called. Go figure a simple thread and here there's at least a half a dozen or so. *is too lazy to count exactly.*
Burning I never really cared for, I like fire but I don't like being burned. I have some burn scars that never faded from accidents. I also think it's just a like blades too much. In a martial arts class I was in for a short time I was doing weapons training with bladed sais as opposed to the ones that only have points. I like swords and knives, especially the way the edge gleams when light catches it just right. *shrugs* Everyone that's mentioned cutting and other stuff so far seems to have something in their life that set it off that was at least mildly understandable. I started cause I was a stupid idiot. Oh well. Let's do our best to keep this thread alive, it'd be nice to have a place to talk about stuff like this with people that won't judge. |

| I clicked Full Metal Alchemist simply because i love what's gonig on with it right now but I also love Naruto, Ranma 1/2, Ghost in the Shell, RahXephon, Evangelion, Akira, Samurai Executioner, X the Movie, (haven't goten to see any of the series.)
Negima is really good as well and so is Ruoroni Kenshin and Juvenile Orion. |

| That sounds a lot like the question of the Bishop and the Preying Mantis.
A bishop has a dream that he is sleeping and there is a sleeping preying Mantis on his chest. Or is it actually the Matnis that is dreaming that he is sleeping on the chest of a sleeping Bishop? And what happens to the one that actually is a dream when the other wakes? Will Bishop or Mantis simply cease to exist along with all their memories and experiences? |

| so yeah, stupid reason here we come. Though sis (makura for those that have missed that she's my little sister) says she was impressed. *shrugs*
Anywho. I'm a writer. One of the things I've learned in my writing is that research is important. If I write about a character that knows how to pick locks and is a good theif I'm going to research security systems and the tools needed to picks locks and bypass those security systems and I'm going ot actually learn to pick a lock so I know what I'm talking about when I write the character. I had a story that was about a character that escaped reality through cutting. Course I'd never done that before. Research, research, research. I'd read up on the subject, I'd read account from people interviewed about it and I came to one very important conclusion. I could not, under any circumstances, accurately write a character doing that and feeling that without experiencing it myself. It would come off as fake and half assed and wouldn't make any sense to those that knew it intimately. Natural progression from there. I just discovered, like sis, that I liked it a lot. More in a masochistic way than any desire to escape reality or any other reason I just thought it felt good. So there it is. Feel free to ridicule for my idiocy. |

| I want to be a writer. I need to start talking to publishers actually about the book that I've already written for my fantasy series. I would also like ot maybe teach a creative writing class someday.
I've even got the first day of class planned out for exactly what I'd do. Should be very interesting if I ever end up teaching. |

The blast threw out enough concussive force to rip the door off the wall sending it flying down the corridor past Hiru as 300 silver ball bearing were launched in every possible direction at high velocity. |

| The ball bearings rip through the air with a hich pitched whistles, a much higher pictched noise than they should make if they were just solid bearings. The crash into the walls peppering them with pock marks and about 75 smash into Paiges quickly erected shield.
6 pass through the sheild but they've lost so much momentum that they simply drop to the ground after a few inches smoking and hissing loudly on the slightly damp stone floor as all the water around the rapidly begins turning into steam. some 35 pass over Aryss, Salrissa and the rest completely miss Javelin entirely though he is thrown to the ground by the blast. Hiru flies down the hallway beyond the door for some 20 meteres before his lower back strikes something that he is flipped over sending his body tumbling and spinning down into a deep pool. The hall way is about 30 feet wide beyond the door and about as long as a foot ball field. Every twenty feet on each side there is a ten foot circular pool surrounded by a railing. The walls are made of a dark stone and gothic looking wall sconces are placed every five feet with a torch hanging in the brackets casting a ruddy light as well as filling the top few feet of the forty foot tall corridor with smoke. |

| my short term plans for the future are to get a job as soon as possible that doesn't interfere with my school schedule, help my sister move out of her parents house when she's old enough and continue to work on my writing and start talking to publishers about my books.
Long term I want to eventually live in a log cabin style house built on a small plot of land back in the woods a bit in Pine Top Arizona. |
