| Creepy girl is creepy.
We are going to check out the Carnegie Science Center finally for this Mother's Day trip. I find it interesting that of all the people that work in my department, the one who doesn't have tomorrow off is the one with kids. Kinda fucked up. |

That aside, I am a firm convert to the ways of almond milk (original, unsweatened) especially for cooking. It has no more carbs than regular 2% and you cannot taste the almond in cooking. It is still thinner than regular milk though, so when we were by ourselves we would often buy a small thing of milk for certain dishes that needed the thicker texture... though since moving in with Ben's mom (who likes milk) we tend to use actual milk for most cooking and almond milk is stuck with drinks, cereal (not much now that we are low carb), and those occasions when I am the one doing the cooking and she isn't paying attention. For the record, I absolutely hate soy milk... the after taste is just gross. Have not yet tried coconut or rice milk though. (Last edited by Elara on 05-29-13 11:32 AM)

My parents finally got a box to ship me the dutch oven that I inherited from my grandmother! After a very good soak and scrub, I can make proper etouffee!! Also, going to the movies with my friends from work tonight to see Epic. Yay for girl's night.

I am kinda obsessed with Alistair... I have issues. But yeah, Dalish rogue, archer build. I am awesome. Firmly decided I am letting Anora take the throne alone this time around and then I shall play a human noble for a second play through so that I may become queen. I do have one major gripe with the game... the archery system is kinda crap and there are no good mods for it anymore. I think there is one that alters all combat, but melee and spells are just fine imho, so I don't want to mess with them. Also, why can you not enchant bows or crossbows? Not fair!!

Went with friends from work to see Epic... it was pretty typical for a Pixar movie but overall I enjoyed it. I honestly think that the character voiced by Aziz Ansari stole the movie. |
