I relax by not studying. Then again, I never needed to study anyway, so I dunno how much that'll help. If you can, try listening to music. Always helps me relax... then again, it's usually while taking the test that people get nervous, and a lot of teachers don't allow you to listen to music while you take a test. If your teacher allows it, though...

I've never been interviewed for a job, but I might be able to help. Just try not to concern yourself with the other people that'll be interviewed the same day. Focus on your own interview, the only one you can control. If you worry about the others, you'll get nervous, and it'll show. And that's not a good thing.

Honestly, and I hate to derail this topic further, if you're careful you shouldn't HAVE to reformat your computer. Then again, that one's pretty damn old. 2001 you say? My grandmother got the 15 GB piece of shit that I use for emulation back then, I think. Never had to reformat that one, and it was online before I got it. I just need to remove a few games, 15 GB doesn't hold much.

Don't have school anymore, nor do I have work currently, but this still happens.

A. New characters for my RP/Story series (some parts are RPs, others are just stories I write)... pretty frequent, I got up to well over twenty.

B. Music. Donkey Kong Country 2, typically, though sometimes various songs I've heard on the radio pop in. Currently, in fact, Boulevard of Broken Dreams happens to be stuck in my head, and I only know the first few lines! Argh!

C. Going back to that first one, adjusting a few things about my already-made characters. Jake, Tianna, and Ceru got changed numerous times through this.

D. Last, and least often, the next path the story follows. This is why I never seem to get anywhere; this almost never happens. =/

There are others, but the above are the most common ones.

Now, if I get a job at Gamestop like I expect to, D will probably get more frequent. I seem to get plot ideas from video games. Anyway, those are in order by how often those are in my mind - completely unintentional, actually.

Well, I stated my issues with the DS before, but in recap...

1. Too damn expensive. My Xbox cost less. My PS2 cost less. My Gamecube cost a LOT less. And the DS is a handheld. Somethin' don't add up.

2. Touch screen seems pointless, and in many games will probably wind up being a problem - it's a new idea, and the developers might not know how to effectively use it.

3. While I didn't say this before, it has a very limited library of games currently. For me, this isn't an issue; I usually don't buy systems until a while after their release, but it's still a problem for the DS.

I know I already said that, but I figured it'd look better to have someone who dislikes the DS and clearly explains his reasons why. That, and it makes the thread more interesting than having everyone agreeing.

Well, it was Wal-Mart. Might have been an older booster, but I know how these Wal-Marts are - they don't hold on to older stuff. IIRC, the N64 games were completely gone a month after the Gamecube came out. Nevermind that they didn't have enough Gamecube games to fill the N64 shelves. =/

Then again, this wasn't particularly recently; I don't go card shopping very often, since A: No friends, that play or otherwise, and B: I can just play on Apprentice; doesn't feel the same, but I have immediate access to all the cards, and it's free.

I usually use Hawkwind missiles, E (the beam) Laser, Reduce Shield, the Formation Option (two above-behind, two below-behind), and Force Field (I think)... the Formation Option along with Hawkwind missiles allows you to almost always be able to shoot missiles up and down at the same time, I just like Lasers (though when I use Double I usually use the normal one or Tailgun), and Force Field and Reduce are because I suck at dodging things.

Edit: one or two things MIGHT be wrong there.

To the problem. I'm sure your parents have complained about you having a bad attitude with them. Well, my mother is constantly accusing me of having that bad attitude, and I've only discovered one constant amongst all the times she says that.

I disagree with her. She never gives me a chance to explain WHY I disagree, instead she always interrupts me. Then when I try to finish, she gets mad at me for having a (quote from today, when this happened) "holier than thou attitude" with her. Ah, of course, NOW I get it! I should just agree with everything she says, no matter how fucking stupid it is; no matter how much my moral principles or, hell, simple logic says that it's wrong.

This is, in fact, the only thing keeping me from commenting on her position on the Michael Jackson case. She seems convinced he's guilty, which I don't disagree with, but she hasn't even seen any evidence in his defense or any against him.

See, it's shit like that that makes me want to use industrial-strength "shock therapy" on numerous people in this world.

It sucks that they did that, Xeo, but you gotta remember that Target's a pretty big chain. They're going to pull shit like that, and no one can do a damn thing about it. =/

I'll tell you what it sounds like to me.

It sounds like they don't want to put any effort into helping you. I was in almost the same situation back in seventh grade, but it was my temper that was problematic and not my hearing. Rather than do anything to help, their first thought was to send me to a residential school. I've got a long story I could go into there, but I'm not going to since it's irrelevant.

Alone, you won't accomplish much arguing with them, I'd bet. Try talking to your parents about it, and see if they're willing to help.

I can understand not supporting our president's decision; I don't support any of his decisions. But the soldiers fighting over there did not choose this war. They are part of the armed forces. When the president starts a war, they go fight. Not much of a choice.

My stepdad's over in Afghanistan, fighting for people like this? People who don't appreciate the sacrifice our soldiers are making?

Maybe we should send you over there, and see if that changes your mind.

the FF1 portion was too easy. I beat it, I can't beat the original FF1 though.

FF2, however, is a bit more challenging. And they fixed the bugs, as well as the slow-ass stat boost problems. Yay.
