Tell me this, then:

Why else would a company increase the price by sixty-one percent?

No company would be stupid enough to increase the price that much unless they had reason to believe the demand was there. If it were a smaller increase, say, from eight dollars to nine, I might actually be willing to concede the possibility of an innocent fuckup - but this was five dollars on an eight dollar item.

That's not an innocent fuckup.

But you can keep sticking your fingers in your ears and telling yourself it is if that helps you sleep at night.

You're right. And as I have said previously. Sony has apologized about the matter and corrected it. But you want to know the -real- reason why the price was high?

Let's convert US Dollars to UK Dollars.

$1.00 in the USA is about 0.631 Pounds.
Interesting. Then I'll have to concede the point.

However, I do have to question why they have the prices for both handled in such a way as to make that mistake possible. Less "asshole" and more "inept", though. Guess Hanlon's Razor strikes again.

The Times spoke with Sony executives who asked to remain anonymous, but chalked the mistake up to a "Sony employee in Britain" who made the error without their consent.
That they say something doesn't make it true, even if in this case it may have been. Standard routine for almost everyone in the event of a major fuckup, corporate lackey or otherwise, is to find someone else to blame. Especially if your income relies on it.

It's about goddamn time I get an AC game on release.

Give For Answer a shot. I wasn't a fan of 4, but 4A is an improvement. Note, though, that I haven't played any older than 3 (played 3/3 Portable, Nexus, Last Raven, 4, 4A)

Unless you have an issue with the pace of the AC fights, because that didn't change at all. Still as fast and air-centric as before.

I honestly have no interest in playing the older ones, simply because it took so long for them to support two sticks.

What's really fucked up about that is that even the first two on the PS2 didn't. What the hell, guys

Either way, not calling a class this far in advance. I'd rather wait for more information. Normally I favor snipers or stealth classes, but in Borderlands I ended up maining a shotgun/turret Roland, so...

Male Shep, Infiltrator.

Quite possibly the least stealthy infiltrator ever. I went through ME2 almost never using the cloak, and once I got the Widow I was basically shooting people with it at shotgun range.

In fact, this Shepard has actually said a couple variants of "I'm tired of sneaking around." Which is just weird.

Also, male human Adept in Multiplayer. Nothing's quite as satisfying as seeing three teammates take on one mob and then soloing the other one.


I'm also playing a couple Final Fantasy Tactics hacks, Celdia's Complete Patch (available here) and FFT 1.3/Content (available here). 1.3's pretty faithful to the original game, just a fuck of a lot harder, while CCP takes... significant liberties with the classes. The Monk replacement's basically Sabin without the Suplex (probably couldn't duplicate that in FFT), and the Vanquisher's clearly a Belmont. Still fun, though it's amusing to see how many story enemies use the original sprites - but that's for technical reasons, it's kind of a pain in the ass to change the story sprites, so to save some annoyance, they're just set up to use the full original sprite.

I'm also playing Forza Motorsport 4, still. Finally got someone else to join Phase One. If anyone here plays (I doubt it), just send a request to join (and, if you're not on my friends list, send me a message so I know who you are) and I'll let you in. We're... not very competitive, though. Mostly 'cause the other guy sucks.

It's out tomorrow. Or, if your local Gamestop is doing a midnight release (they probably are for Resident Evil), it's out tonight!

According to an article I read, it'll have a larger focus on multiplayer. Teams are supposed to include four pilots and a commander. Could be interesting, 'slong as the commander isn't drunker than the pilots.

Who's getting it, and on what?

360 for me.

Geometrically speaking, unless the potato was held up by something else it wouldn't work anyway. He'd have just landed on it. It'd be laying on its side due to gravity, and you'd need either a really large asshole or a really small potato for it to fit in that state - and in either case, it wouldn't require surgical removal.

I know, obvious lie, who the hell hangs curtains while naked, etc. But, you know me, I like to take a different approach.
