Harry Potter was alright... WAY too much relationship stuff though. I got so tired of watching various members of the cast look longingly to their cherished other while they were hitting on someone else. Boo hoo, get over it.

Minus that though, it was a decent-ish use of two and a half hours.

Although it was really tempting to yell out "SNAPE KILLS DUMBLEDORE AT TWO HOURS TWELVE" or whatever time in the movie it occured.

Sherlock looks brilliant, saw a trailer for it when I saw HP6. Amusingly, that was probably the best part of HP6... The freaking Sherlock trailer before it.

All sorts of techniques are used, like cold reading I think is the term for what the bald guy in the video was doing. I know a lot of mediums who perform with large audiences use this technique, along with questioning the people before the performance to obtain as much knowledge as possible.

Those things are normally down to the activities the person performs, when they perform them and other related activities they may have performed in the past. i.e. a person who watches football with their father from a very young age is likely to enjoy football when they are older. I have many examples of this with people I know. The only ones who like football are the ones who's parents enjoyed it while the child was growing up.

Although there are examples of other mammals partaking in homosexual activity, along with sex for fun. Dolphins for example. I've also heard of a kind of monkey which for 90% of the year the males are homosexual, although my source for that is a bit dubious. I've seen male cats and dogs attempt to mount other males. The only difference is the human capacity to consider such themes in distinct ways, depending on the person's own lifestyle, and also to be capable of criticising what may be natural instincts.

I apologise for the pretty blatant advert, but I've created a blog where I'll be posting many random rants and discussion topics relating to video/computer games in the coming weeks. Expect an update every few days, maybe sooner.

http://gamersrantage.blogspot.com/

Currently it's just an introduction and a post about the Halo vs Half Life bollocks that goes on at most gaming forums. Lucky that doesn't happen here! xD

Well I'd like to consider myself as a pretty adept writer, considering I do a hefty amount of role play (Outside of this site). I'm just too good at losing interest in RPs and battles very quickly.

However I'd say Cairoi and Xeios are especially good writers/role players here.

I suggest heading over to The Escapist Magazine. There's pretty much a thread every day relating to some form of game vs game arguement, and many others regarding "Half Life being overrated" and "Halo suckz0rz"

The annoying thing is, it's a rather intellectual site in regards to games. It just gets the eleven to thirteen year old fans of Zero Punctuation filling the forums with their shit.

I've been heavily into Eureka since it came out, been watching that whenever any episode airs or comes available on Surf The Channel...

Also surprisingly got back into Halo 3, just need to find a way of getting internet to my 360.

Unsurprisingly back into Mass Effect to make sure my character is alright for the sequel.

I've been getting computer parts at incredibly cheap prices of a friend. Got a 500W power supply for a tenner, and the Pentium E6600 (I think, whatever the Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz one is) processor for a tenner plus an old, old monitor I had since he wanted it for dual screen. All I need now is more RAM, a better graphics card and a new motherboard to support it all and I'm set to go! XD

But dang, 40 FPS with Crysis on max? I WANT THAT

Even though I don't like Crysis. But having STALKER with max settings would be good.

He got Psycho Mantis.

HE GOT PSYCHO MANTIS!

So much for the most powerful practitioner of psychokenesis and telepathy in the world! All he could do was read my memory card and make my controller move along the floor!

THIS GUY READS MY MIND!

Even though he just does the twenty questions game. It's still pretty damn cool that he's so far got every Metal Gear Solid character I've tried.

EDIT: I tripped him up on Jack Carter from Eureka (It instead giving me Jack Bauer, although the correct answer was only the second in the list of possibilities) and it couldn't seem to find Doug Walker (Nostalgia Critic) at all.

So maybe I'm just crap at describing people or I actually beat the game!

I've used 'em all, and while I love Opera and Google Chrome for their incredible speed and lack of bloat, Firefox just has a bunch of little features I've become accustomed to which none of the others have.

So it's still Firefox for me.

What were the plot holes?

Holy shit I loved this film. It's got a place somewhere in my constantly changing top ten films of all time list.

And I loved the fact even my town's cinema, which is total crap normally, had the "HUMANS ONLY" posters on its doors. None seen anywhere else though.

Posted on 09-16-09 02:03 PM, in Rumors: Advent Children - The Game? Link
I'm really hoping that Final Fantasy will just die the death it seriously needs.

Although I would much rather see Advent Children made into a game than an FF7 remake, and not just because FF7, out of the entire FF series, was my least favourite, and I'm not a fan of it to begin with. Out of the 3D ones, it had the worst graphics, animation and special effects, the worst character design, the worst battle system and the most stupid weapons I've ever heard of. And FF8 had a 'Gunblade' which makes nearly as much non-sense as Cloud's fucker of a sword made. At least the Gunblade was concievably wieldable.

The second reason is, only fans will buy a remake of a game. In FF7's case, I doubt it will be capable of receiving the upgrade MGS got with Twin Snakes, purely because the fans would not want to have their battle systems, storylines, set pieces etc. changed from the original. So catering to them, FF7 remake would be utterly pointless.

And then there's the fact that nearly all games based on films are horrible, and mediocre at best, the problem being that the plot of the film gets stretched out to fill the 10+ hours a game should be, instead of receiving EXTRA plot to fill the time that a two hour movie simply can't hold up to.

It may just be that personally I couldn't give a shit what Squaresoft is doing with their games and that recently I've been finding all their games more and more insipid but whether they make Advent Children a game or remake FF7 will likely have no influence on gaming as an industry.

All it will do is make fanboys squeal in delight and anti-fanboys rage in disgust across every gaming forum on the face of the internet, much like what already happens with Lost, Bleach, Halo, Half Life, Big Brother, pop music, and anything else unfortunate enough to have received the same amount of publicity as God.

Hey Vulkar, it was Elara who bumped. Leviathan merely responded to Elara's bump.

And remember, this forum isn't exactly the most active of Xeogaming. The first page for example has posts as far back as 2006.

And either way, it's a fricking freaky topic that deserves some attention. Although my video's more disturbing, despite being from Little Britain.

I can't believe I've waited until the day I'm leaving to say I got into university and am leaving today!

I remember a thread about a year ago in Sunset Waterfall about my concerns I may not get in and such, yet I only needed three Cs anyway. Got in with a B, a C and a D, so that's all fine and dandy!

So OH MY GOD I'm going to uni!

Anyone else here got news like that or is everyone else too old for uni? XD

I love the smell of a bit of weed.

Helps that I smoke it occasionally. *Shrugs*

Thing is, when my friends and I are stoned, we don't just sit doing stuff. I'm normally chatting very openly with everyone, talking about bollocks I used to never talk about sober, like politics, social networks, all kinds of stuff. I talk about them a lot now when I'm sober though, so it's all good.

Swinging is for Spiderman, bitches.

I've heard too many bad things about the game to get it... Plus also a lack of money doesn't help.

So you guys reckon it is good then?
