| I know I was never prepared for High School because I got two pieces of homework over the ENTIRE year six, and none at all in year five.
I do hate the idea of homework because it is simply forced revision. I'm always forced to do work we've done multiple times in class in the form of homework, especially by my Biology teacher who gives us the task of making revision notes...  We've got revision books! And they've worked fine for me so far...
Then again, there are some forms of homework I do agree with, like getting students to finish off unfinished coursework, which is much more important to your school life than normal homework. So yeah, elementary school homework seems a waste... But it is okay for important essays that count towards your grade in high school. |

| Considering I did next to no homework for Biology during year 10, and have still done very minimal homework for year 11, AND having missed some lessons I'm still getting As and A*s in practise Biology exams...
And still, I stick to my point that it is forced revision. It should be the student's choice if they do such revision or not. It's the child's education and they should therefore choose the way they want to revise. |

| The figure of a small creature could be seen walking slowly towards the guy standing still. "It's... Way too dark here for my liking..." The figure said in quite a high but growly female voice. She opened her mouth and let out a small burst of flame which set a small pile of branches alight. "Much better."
It could be seen in the new light that the voice had came from a 3 foot long dragon, dark red in colour with bright yellow streaks running down her back. She was walking abnormally compared to the dragons of her tribe, simply because she walked with only two legs, not four. "So... This is the part where we spontaniously attack each other, correct?" She said, tensing her muscles ready for battle. |

Can't be bothered to do a normal quote... It's not a few hours of our life though, homework in total can add up to an extra whole school day each week... That's what our school gives us anyway. Homework still isn't a reliable way of getting students to do revision. I know for a fact there are many students at my school that don't do much of their homework, and the stuff they do is done in 5 minutes during tutor period, or even worse, during the lesson. Also, if people are too irresponsible with their education now, what's the point in helping them with their education if they're still going to be irresponsible later in life, for example if they get a job? You can't force the Guide to Being Responsible in to an irresponsible student's head by telling them to do homework, which they may not do anyway. "a lot of people arent smart enogh to know what to do or how" And if these people paid attention in class they wouldn't have such problems... The people some label as "not smart" are usually the people who simply cannot be bothered with the work. Unless they've been diagnosed with a learning disability, they shouldn't have too much trouble learning in school without being forced to revise. |

| Timesplitters... Mainly Future Perfect which I could probably draw out a map of every level...
And on Timesplitters 2 I could draw out the map of the first level on hard including switches, spawn points and weapon pickups.
I'm also great with Metal Gear Solid 1 and 2, although unfortunately I've never played the third one... Except on european extreme mode round my friend's house, which was pretty funny. |

Sanigen wished he hadn't brought his jacket. It didn't help much that his friend, Taylt, had originally said they were headed for the Antarctic, and half way there he changed his mind and instead wanted to check out central Africa. "Damn it Taylt! Why!? I can't be bothered to carry this stupid jacket!" He shouted. Taylt continued to carry Sanigen by his arms while he flew happily on a pair of wings he had conjured up with the help of his VR Gauntlets. They landed in a stretch of grassy land, both of them noticing how different it looked to the one nearby their homes back in England. They were not used to such large areas without any other forms of life... Except for one Taylt could detect at a tree a short distance away. Being the curious young boys they were (Sanigen being 14 and Taylt being 12), they both strolled over. Sanigen wasn't particularly that brave when it came to talking to people he didn't know, but Taylt was a master of this. "Hey! What be you doing in a savanna such as this one?" |

| Taylt thought for a moment, trying to order out a couple of sentences in his head to explain the gloves and their purpose.
"He'll talk in a few seconds... He's a sandwich short of a picnic if you know what I mean..." Sanigen mumbled, still not entirely certain about talking to a stranger in the middle of a savanna. "Shut up! Right... My dad is an inventor for the Space Marines, an army from the future that protects the Earth and humans, plus any ally. He invents new weapons for them, and these gauntlets are one of them... I'm just a test subject, being the unintelligent boy I am, if I can get them to work simply on energy from the brain, anyone can!" "And to answer your other questions," Sanigen continued, "Taylt's dad is at home, his mother in the year 4119 fighting in the Great Space War, and my parents died only months after my birth by the hand of my uncle, and my sister knows I'm here... Kinda... She actually thinks we're at the north pole." A voice in Sanigens head echoed through it. "Actually, I know what Taylt's like... I know where you are." "Oh, nevermind, she knows. So... We spilled our beans, what about you? What can you do? Are you after a fight? That's what nearly all strangers we come across want..." Sanigen asked, feeling a little more confident. |

| Sanigen and Taylt looked at each other thoughtfully, then spoke at the same time, "Yeah sure, why not?"
"I told you we should have came here! Your little north pole woulda been boring!" Taylt said on his own mockingly to Sanigen. Sanigen looked away, slightly annoyed he got outsmarted by someone with an IQ in only double figures. Seconds later he turned round to face Alex, a four foot long glowing adamant sword in his hands. "Okay, I'm pretty much battle ready... Taylt? "Ready when you are!" He said, forming a slightly longer steel sword in his hands with help from the VR Gauntlets. "So, I guess you can attack first... I hate attacking first..." Sanigen said, then he thought to himself, "Yeah, and Taylt would be dead if he attacked first... He'd forget his damn defences..." VR Gauntlets - A pair of gauntlets, currently an experimental weapon in its final stages of testing. The term 'VR' does mean virtual reality, but this really only applies to Taylt. Anyone getting hit by any weapon he creates will feel it and receive damage like it was the real thing. They have their limitations, but they can allow Taylt to produce a huge number of different weapons. When activated, it causes Taylt's vision to look completely black, with green lines making up any objects or surfaces to help with auto-targetting mechanisms for ranged weapons. |

| Sophie couldn't think straight. This dragon hunter was charging something, and because he's charging it she's pretty sure it must be powerful... She paced up and down the office floor quite quickly, ignoring the frightened mutterings of the scared people inside. She began to hit herself repeatedly on the head.
"Come on Sophie! Think of something you can attack him with... I've only got two elemental attacks... Although I can survive much of a beating... Why was I scared of his sword earlier? My skin is pretty much invincible..." She proved this by picking up a pretty sharp knife on one of the tables and trying to stab it into her arm, showing it to have no effect. Then again, she was a little afraid of letting some unknown weapon hit her, incase it was empowered with some dragon slaying power or something stupid. She decided to do something from inside, where hopefully it would be harder for Jaques to get to her. She commanded all the cables and wires in the ground beneath Jaques to try and bind him and just plain tear off some of his armour... Then she proceeded to look out the window to see if it had worked. |

| Taylt and Sanigen both proceeded to pick up one of the orbs each, popping them in their pockets.
"I really hope these won't explode in a final attampt to win by our opponent..." Sanigen muttered to Taylt. He then gripped his sword tightly, powering it with Hiamura Protect. Taylt activated his scanners, showing him the stats of both himself and Sanigen. TAYLT Health - [100%] Vital Signs - [100%] Spec - [---------------] Spec2 - [-----] Status - [Fine - Ready] SANIGEN Health: [100%] HM: [200/200] Spec: [----------] 0 "Battle Mode Alpha!" Taylt shouted. Two slow moving streaks of green haze flowed down his arms and out his hands, forming two daggers. "Okay, we're both ready..." The instant Sanigen finished the sentence he jumped off the ground with great speed and swiped at Alex's head twice then jumping away so Taylt could slash at the air and send two bolts of the green haze at Alex. The haze may cause Alex's fighting ability to degrade slightly if it touches him. Battle Mode Alpha (BMA) – A 10 inch blade dagger appears in each of Taylt's hands, each emitting a thick, green haze. To properly show he is in BMA, his eyes glow a deep blue colour. If the opponent gets hit by the haze there is a small chance that they will be poisoned. Hiamura Protect (When cast on sword) - The sword becomes indestructible by mere force, although magic will affect it more easily. The blade becomes sharper and can cut through anything as strong as titanium. |

| Sanigen jumped upwards to try and dodge the orb coming at him, the sole of his shoe getting burnt. He created a solid disc beneath him simply to use for standing on. "I'm lucky these are just cheap trainers..." He mumbled before dropping back down. He watched how Taylt handled the orb coming at him.
Taylt threw his arms in a cross shape infront of him, allowing the Hellfire orb to hit them. He was damaged, but the gauntlets automatically give him some form of protection. He watched as they converted some of the energy from the orb be converted into his Spec and Spec2 bars, trying to ignore the pain in his arms. He focused some energy into creating two SMGs, replacing his daggers to save on losing more vital signs than he needs to. He also crouched down, gathering energy to be able to cast Absorption Shield Una. Sanigen begins drawing symbols in the air using his index finger. Long red pulsating lines were left where his finger had been. As soon as three of the symbols were complete, he stabbed in the centre of each one, causing them to activate. Each fired three bolts of lightning, fire and ice in Alex's direction, although quite inaccurately. While Alex should be occupied with that, Sanigen darted forward to repeat the same slashes as before, this time aiming a third on to Alex's legs. TAYLT Health - [96%] Vital Signs - [91%] Spec - [||||-----------] Spec2 - [|----] Status - [Fine - Ready] SANIGEN Health: [100%] HM: [150/200] Spec: [----------] 0 Neutra Magic (Kairu Upgraded) - Neutra is the most basic form of Hikermi Magic. A Hikermi practitioner can draw shapes in the air, usually only as a very basic shield to defend against small things like flying rocks or bird poo. Certain symbols however are Kairu symbols, an older version of Sanigen's abilities which required him to draw symbols in order to activate his magical abilities (Now he uses more generic methods usually such as firing a fire bolt from his hand). Using Neutra Magic to activate Kairu abilities allows him to fire more powerful attacks in the same post, at a cost of requiring more HM (Hikermi Magic), and is also much more reliable in terms of the likelyhood of the attack backfiring. (ooc: Okay, it's 11 PM here and I'm tired... I'm sure that explination of Neutra Magic is actually saying utter rubbish, but I'm currently in the process of editting every single one of my sim battle characters, so that explination might make sense soon. ) |

| Sophie exasperated as she watched the wires change direction and head straight for her. She began moving incredibly quickly when the wires were around a metre or so from her, grabbing them and absorbing the electrical energy flowing through them.Having absorbed enough, she began slashing them repeatedly until they were all in shreds littering the floor.
She stepped away from the window and sat down on a chair. She glanced over at the foolish people who stayed and hid under desks from her. Why did they think they would be safe there? Sohpie was certain Jaques would do something soon to try and hurt her, wiping out the building with it. She thought for a second, and figured the best thing to help protect them would be to exit the building. "Whatever you lot do, make sure it involves getting out of this building away from here..." She said as she jumped from the window, gliding towards Jaques. She readied herself this time for being able to move in any direction if she needed to. She flapped her wings a few times to gain a good speed of 180mph, and when she got close enough she slashed numerous times as hard and as fast as she could, trying to tear through Jaques' armour and into his flesh. |

| This seems a bit like the topic before about women's rights going from far below a male's to much higher over them.
It used to be that white people would kick the shit into black people (And that's probably not just a figure of speech). Now, black people have gained rights, yet they gain enough right that allows them to pretty much have their revenge on the whites, even though the white people of today a firstly not the same people that kidnapped people in India and transported them in big ships to the US where they would live a life of slavery... So now, because of those times spanning from 60 or so years ago to about 300 years ago, whites have less ability of free speech about their feelings of black people, while a group of black men could probably shout across the street at a single white man calling him by a number of racist remarks and no one would think less of them... Society is screwed up.
(Sorry if this makes little sense or is off topic, I just woke up and I can't remember writing half of this post xD... I tried to read whats already been said as best as I can though.) |
