| Yay for films with Simon Pegg and Nick Frost! They rock!
They both play cops, Pegg playing an excllent cop, with high arrest records. He is moved down to a village after making the other cops look bad, and meets Frost's character, an other enthusiastic cop that's never experienced any real action (Watches loads of movies). Anyone seen this yet? Heard of it? Used it as a paper towel? |

Napolia - A living electrical signal. Lives in a small PDA-like device but can project herself out. Uses elementals. Atunto - Ability to copy the properties of anything he touches, such as being able to become solid metal if touching a metal etc. Uses guns. Allan - Human with a bird's wings embedded in his spine. Uses melee weapons. The trio took slow steps through the rubble of what used to be a building. Something happened here... Something truely terrible. Small remains of bodies lay randomly about what was left of the floor. The stench of some of them made Atunto want to throw up. Allan had gotten used to this smell, considering the cell the scientists kept him in stank of rotten meat they always fed him. And Napolia didn't even have a nose so she was fine. Allan suddenly heard something in the distance (He has incredibly heightened senses). He instantly flicked out his wings and sprang off the ground, grabbing Atunto with his naked, clawed feet. Atunto took Napolia's PDA out of his pocket and flicked on the screen, causing a small splash screen to appear briefly with Napolia's face across it. After a couple of seconds, she appeared. Napolia: "Well, I can detect something... It doesn't seem big, perhaps only 'average' human size." Her voice came out so clearly a human would have mistook her for a real person. Score one for technology. Atunto: "You two are lucky... I'm stuck with quite a limited ability... You guys can scan for things miles away!" Allan: "Quit moaning... We might finally find who we've been searching for." Thanks to an experiment the scientists made that had gone nuts, Allan, Atunto and Napolia had just managed to escape the complex alive. Allan still has some of the scars around his neck and back where scoldering hot steel shards cut into him. He was hoping that whatever this radar blip was, it was the girl that nearly killed them. This could be there chance for revenge. Instead, they find... Well, not her. Allan dives and drops Atunto from a few feet, who rolled across the floor to prevent himself from damaging his feet. They stood staring at the person/people in front of them for a short while, before Allan got the guts to speak. Allan: "Uh... Hi..." "Man, speaking to people who were not part of the group is hard..." He thought. |

Actually this goes a little deeper than Shaun of the Dead did. There is actually more of a story line instead of "Zombie invasion, hide in pub, people get killed, shoot at zombies, run away". 
Seriously, you will make a good choice in seeing this film. Also, try and notice any SotD references. There are a few like one where Simon's character says "You never taken a short cut before?" although this time he actually gets over the fence without it falling over Spoiler: (It's Nick Frost's turn to break it lol) |

| I just need to know, would it be worth me trying to get one that records direct to DVDs, making it easier to upload to the computer, or get one about £60-£100 cheaper by getting one that uses tapes?
Here's a pretty cheap one: http://www.cameras2u.com/products/details.cfm?PRODUCT=CCDTRV238 It uses tapes, and the zoom isn't as good as the camcorder below, but it does include a built in light so I can record at night a bit easier. The camcorder that uses DVDs: http://www.cameras2u.com/products/details.cfm?PRODUCT=DVD106 This one supports both DVDs and Memory Card Duos, so I can get my videos on to my computer VERY EASILY. It also has better zoom, 2.5" LCD screen and Super NightShot Plus and Super SteadyShot. But it's about £85 more expensive. Just really need opinions, or even links to other camcorders. Please, if you do, no links to american sites. They're probably loads cheaper but they never deliver to the UK. |

| I got bothered to do stuff about it this time... Well, this time I'll make sure I've got people's interest before waiting ages, getting bored of waiting and deleting files, THEN have people join.
I tweaked the storyline a little bit, I actually explained the three forces you can be, and it's just that little bit more ass-kickingly better! Friday 24th May, 4315 (Quoted from 'C2 News at 9') "Disaster struck today when a factory handling chemical mutagens exploded. The gases escaped through the first two safety barriers but the third safety zone managed to contain it. Liquids leaked in to the soil but underground technicals helped prevent it seeping further. Med-vans and coptors are already at work to clean the mess, but none of them so far have any information regarding the workers at the plant." Sunday 26th May, 4315 (Quoted from 'C2 News at 6') "In a followup from a story two days ago, survivors were found at the mutagen plant. There have been no obvious injuries as of yet, but only 10 of the 300 workers have been found. Having gone through a compulsory screening, it has been found that the survivor's, three men and seven women, have their DNA rapidly changing, and due to the Mutagen Accident Laws of 3798 they have been given the option to keep their DNA the same or have it 'healed'. All ten of them, enjoying the new abilities the mutagens gave them, declined the healing." Sunday 3rd June, 4315 (Quoted from videophone footage sent in from one of the mutagen cleaners) *While running* "Alert the Space Marines! The I.G.P.D! ANYONE! Every worker is accounted for, but their minds are deteriorating! Quaranteen the area! Isolate the ten original survivors! They are no longer human! They're alrea- No! NOOOO-EERRRKKKK!" Now: Monday 12th May, 4316 The area of land known widely as Jaeroe, quite far in the middle of a forest, has been contaminated with mutagens. These rapidly changed the genetic structure of the workers at the plant containing the mutagens and within a week these mutants lost control of their mind. They have been causing havoc such as sending in small attacks on small villages that surrounded the area, but luckily outside the range of the mutagens. Thanks to safety barriers the contamination was contained, although the mutants still claim over 25 square miles of land. At first glance the creatures seem incapable of 'intelligent' thought, but they have been building and developing technology over the year, also stealing technological information from the villages they attacked. This will be the largest attack planned for them yet. Small groups of 50, numbered from teams Alpha 1 to Gamma 9, meaning 1350 recruits are being sent in. The Space Marines aquired help from a hefty amount of Mercinaries and some forces of the I.G.P.D. so the small army has a wide range of skills. The I.G.P.D: The Inter-Galactic Police Department are an immense group of different races and species which allied to form a special group. They helped create the Laws of the Universe 3030, which basically mixed laws from lots of different planets and applied them to anywhere in the universe. The I.G.P.D. consist of three main types of unit: Light (Low armour but very fast and agile), Medium (Stronger armour, average movement and speed) and Heavy (Almost impenetrable armour but has very limited movement and completely obliterates the ability to run). You can also be pretty much any alien race you can make up if you choose to be from this team. No making up aliens that get around the speed limitations of the heavy armour though.
Weaponary: Pistol, laser pistol, plasma automatic, 10 plasma grenades, 10 frag grenades, 5 stun grenades. The weapons get more powerful depending on how heavy your armour is. The Space Marines: Similar to the I.G.P.D. in what they do, but it is an Earth team consisting only of human and Erumi (A Variation of humans created just before The Great Space War in 2012). Choosing a human gets your character a large selection of weaponary all built in to a I.G.P.D. equivalent medium armour. Erumi do not use weapons or armour due to their natural strength and energy abilities. (I'll link you to a profile of one of my Erumi sim battle characters to give you an idea of what they can do) Weaponary: Mini-mini-gun, Worlds Smallest Nuke, 4 frag grenades, 4 smoke grenades, laser sniper, laser finger, scanner, light energy shield. Mercinaries: Consists of only humans. They get very light armour and can only carry a few weapons, but they can carry large amounts of ammo, have excellent battle experience (They are all survivors from various wars and battles over the centuries) and get a much wider selection of weaponary (Pretty much make up guns if you want for these, but nothing uber-powerful). Weaponary: As I said, make them up.

Team: I.G.P.D, Space Marines or Mercinaries Race: Needed if you are I.G.P.D, although I'll assume human if you leave this blank for Space Marines. Mercinaries do not need to fill this in, you are already human.
Appearance: Just a general basic appearance. The style of uniform may be different to others if you are I.G.P.D. or Space Marines, and Mercinaries do not require uniform. History: Not really required if you don't want to, but it'd just be interesting to have a bit of background. And please, no "One/Both parents died" bullshit as a reason for helping this. No one hired is from the surrounding villages, so no ones parents could have been killed because of the mutants. Weaponary: Only Mercinaries answer this, unless you are using slightly modified weapons as the other teams (PM me about them so I can check if they're okay or not). Name: Alex Daniels Age: 27 Gender: Male Team: Space Marines Race: Human Appearance: Constantly wears the Space Marine full overall 'midnight blue' uniform (He has over 15 so he never runs out of clean ones though. ). He has short brown hair, is quite muscular, has blue/grey eyes and, after an unfortunate accident at his last attempt to fight the mutants, has a large scar running down the left side of his back.
History: Alex has been on this same mission twice before, the first time being simply unsuccessful because of an underestimation of the enemy forces, while the second they lured him into a trap to test out new torture hardware, explaining the scar. Barely escaping alive partly due to a rescue team, he spent three weeks in the infirmary, mapping out in his head a way in he'd noticed. This second attempt was five weeks ago from where this RP is set. The route is still fresh in his mind, and he's ready for some mutant slashing, limb tearing actiononic uber-fun! |

| Sophie attempted to move, but wherever she moved to the dirt followed her just as fast. Eventually when the dirt got close enough to her, she curled up into a tight ball and hardened her scales. The now rockified dirt collapsed on top of her, but she barely felt any weight. "Idiot..." She thought.
She pushed forward fast, using her claws to break through the rocks, attempting to be as silent as possible. True, this would be quite difficult because the rocks kept falling behind her, and in the end just went at top speed until she was directly under Jaques. She sprung up from the dirt, her claws aimed at his feet and a continuous beam of electiricty aimed at Jaques' entire body, hoping it would cause spasms in his muscles enough to slow him down a bit. |

She made sure she didn't waste any of this free energy by letting it out. Then she pushed off the ground and flew at Jaques so she would keep in a large circle around him. She then fired out a huge bolt of electricity, using some of Jaques' energy but mostly her own, and she hoped it would be harder to defend against because of her movements causing the attack to strike at all angles. |

| And thus begins my attempt at a tournament.
This tournament focuses on you using your character in various arenas. Your characters when made should only have very basic abilities/spells, and must use the arena's attributes to complete the mission. (Which may not be simply "defeat your opponent." )
So one arena might contain spell crystals that grant the user a one time magical attack, or another may be littered with weapons. There might be traps all over the place or there might not be any. The arenas will all be different (If my traitor of an imagination doesn't procrastinate over imagining stuff. )
If you're in, fill out this for your character: Name: Age: Gender: Appearance: Basic Abilities: Basic abilities include little things like strong muscled, fast, good with melee/ranged weapons. Do NOT choose them all, you get two ability points. Your character also does not start with any weapons aside from maybe their shoe, if he/she wears shoes.
And from a suggestion from Cairoi, here's a list of abilities you can choose: Speedy - Can move faster than the average human. Fast Reactions - Can react to things faster than the average human can. Strong Muscled - Can lift large weights and attack harder. Uber-Muscled - Can lift much larger weights and attack with great force. Takes up both ability points. Strong Skinned - Can receive great physical impact with little damage. Metal Skinned - Can receive greater physical impact with little damage. Takes up both ability points. Energy Control - Can do basic control of energy, like making flame or electricity move from one place to another (This could be useful to use traps against an enemy). Takes up both ability points. Telekenesis - Can move small objects around with mere thought. Takes up both ability points. Melee User - Good at using melee weapons. Ranged User - Good at using ranged or good at throwing melee weapons for big damage. Gun Slinger - Excellent at using guns. Magic user - Has increased power using magic crystals found in arenas. Both points used up. An example of Strong and Uber Muscled abilities: Weight lifting Normal Human - 1.5 to 2 times own weight. Strong Muscled - 4 to 5 times own weight. Uber-Muscled - 8 to 10 times own weight. Using melee weapon Normal human - Average melee damage. Strong muscled - Double melee damage. Uber-Muscled - Quadruple melee damage. For an example of what the Strong and Metal Skinned abilities do: Attacked by sword Normal Human - Sword can slash through them. Strong Skinned - Sword still goes quite deep, but not all the way through and less pain is felt. Metal Skinned - Sword creates a small cut and very little pain is felt. Attacked by projectile Normal Human - Projectile enters one end and comes out the other. Strong Skinned - Same as human, but with slight possibility of becoming stuck. Less pain felt. Metal Skinned - Projectile enters but does not go right through. Slight chance of it bouncing off (Don't use this as an excuse to defend against all projectile shots). Little pain felt. I only come on here for brief periods during the day, then full in the gaps with Counter Strike Source, Halo, Metal Gear Solid and, probably the main reason I stick around here, post on Acmlm's.

There will likely be no set time limit for the whole battle, but if someone stops posting for three days without contacting me and/or their opponent they lose. If I do put a whole battle time limit, it'd most likely be a 3 week/month limit. |

| I hope that your character first got given the option to go into the Space Marines at atleast the age of 18. that's the minimum age for people to join the Space Marines.
And secondly, you screwed up your Team and Race fields... You should've done: Team: Space Marines Race: Human/Erumi Your character also gets all those weapons, not just a small selection... |

| Sophie was kind of annoyed, but she soon stopped caring. It was only a tiny bit of her electrical power. She began flying upwards and backwards, aiming to land on top of a four story building. "He's got quite heavy armour... First things first, Sophie, try and remove it." Sohpie thought. She looked around briefly looking for something she could use as a weapon.
She had her eyes on a satelite dish, half broken anyway. It wouldn't matter much if she 'borrowed' it. Within a fiftieth of a second, she grabbed the dish, melted the edge into an extremely fine sharp edge, then threw the disc like a frisbee towards Jaques' upper torso. She also made a way of hiding, by actually going in the building. She paid little attention to the people who were to scared to run away, except to say, "You'd better leave... Things could get a bit destructive..." |
