| Alex finished planning a route, then stealthily moved away to a small box in the corner of the hold. He retrieves his weaponry from the box, shoving the pistol into the holster on his waist and slinging a plasma autorifle over his shoulder. He also takes out a long spear made out of a strange blue metal. He clicks a small button in and it becomes armour, surrounding his entire body in a midnight blue colour.
He closed the lid of the chest, wondering who that Andrea girl was. Had they met before? Whatever, he thought. He didn't care much for relationships at all during missions. Before he had much chance to do anything else, the general's voice boomed through the ship. General: "Okay! Drop of point reached! Move move move!" Following the order instinctively, Alex jumped out of the helicopter, only then realising he'd forgot his parachute. He merely shrugged as he made his way down as his armour would protect him. Just before he lands his armour suddenly activates a huge mass of fans under Alex's feet, causing him to slow down dramatically just before he hit the floor. Feeling slightly disorientated by this, he sits on the cold grass and waits for the others to land. |

| Alex glances at the person scaling down a cord. When he lands, Alex utters a single word. "Impressive." He quickly returns to his thoughts before getting impatient waiting for the others. He looks back at James. "I'm sorry I didn't answer you before... I'm here simply because I need to take revenge on the creatures here... Well, that and I was given orders to return. Whatever you do, don't get between me and any monster I fight..." | |||

| Imor grabs the disc in his mouth, smashing it with his sharp teeth. His form begins to deteriorate and he becomes his normal human self. He falls slightly from dizziness but quickly jumps back, landing near Ivan. He swings around aiming his right heel to Ivan's face with enough force to smash through steel. | |||

| Alex walks forward as if leading the way, only to be overtaken by Colonel Jones, the man who was to be leading the group into hell.
Jones: "Okay listen up! We've been deposited east of our target, meaning we can gain an easier access to both the main entrance to the city and a (not anymore so) secret 'back door' into it. Once we get within half a mile of the city we will split up into two groups, each group taking a different entrance. Pincer attacks have always worked well in the past with other missions. Let's just hope it will work this time." "Yeah, hope, there's a word that'll come back to haunt those who get the back entrance," Alex thinks as Jones rambles on. If they did not move quickly night would come, and the group will have even more trouble. Jones: "A short while in we will meet up with another couple of groups also helping with the attack. Mainly those from the Inter Galactic Police Department (That is the I.G.P.D. for those who are wondering). Please try not to mistake them for the creatures, they are simply aliens who have agreed to help rid us of the more blood-thirsty menace that threatens our planet." Alex impatiently kicks a small stone in Jones' direction giving him the signal that he was rambling. Even though Jones was of a higher rank than Alex, he still showed much respect to him, as Alex could kick his ass any day. Jones clears his throat. "Well then, that's the rough plan, we'd better get a mo-" Jones is interupted violently as a very large spider-like creature jumps on him, ready to stick its long fangs into Jones' thin neck. Alex immediatly swings his heel round, knocking the spider off into the general direction of the others, hoping (Haha, it's coming back to haunt us already) that the others would attack it. |

| Alex looked down at the smouldering remains of the spider, then at James. "Well the mutated humans were brought about by a nuclear leakage. What's to say there weren't any other animals situated nearby when it happened?" Alex picks up a remaining part of the spider and holds it in his fingertips.
A small device sprouts from his wrist and it sends out a beam of red light over the spider. Within seconds information about it is directed straight into Alex's thoughts, and automatically he starts speaking. "It is merely a simple house spider, the kind that hide in the corners of ceilings. Definately had more than a simple growth spurt... Wow... That's one heck of a venom." He looks at Jones "If this thing had bitten and injected you with only 0.01 milligrams of it's poison, you'd be dead within seconds." His automatic speech seemed to suddenly switch off as Alex goes completely silent again, giving Jones a hand getting up. Jones begins to lead the way again, and Alex turns back to James. "I never asked you before, why are you part of this nature trail to hell? I mean do you want to be here at all? Or are you like most mercinaries and do this kinda thing only for the money?" |

"Well as long as you pay back your favours I suppose..." Alex replied. He was blinking and concentrating trying to rid his mind of the images of the spider he obtained when he scanned it. Spider guts wasn't really a nice sight, especially when you can see them any time, any where, in full 3 dimensions and in colour. He draws his plasma autorifle and sets his scanners to 'Widespread Outer' which literally means a full outside scan of a wide area. Nothing too dangerous was showing up besides a few more of those spiders and general other mutated insects and animals. "No mutant humans yet... Although I would hate it if they had cloaking devices..." Alex kinda wished he never said that. He would be worrying about it the rest of the journey now. After walking a short distance, various groups of men began to show up on the radar. "Merely the other groups we are meeting up with," Alex states. After a few more minutes of walking, the group meets up with two teams of the I.G.P.D. The leaders of each group gather together and formulate a plan. Zexni, a I.G.P.D. leader and Erumi alien, announced the plan. Zexni: "Okay, the plan is settled. The two I.G.P.D. groups will be going at the front, acting as a diversion to allow the smaller group of mercinaries and Space Marines get in from the back." Fear struck Alex as the words left the alien's lips, "You will recieve further instuction via comms when you get in." Alex wanted to scream out telling them he was not going to the rear of the base, but he had no choice. He may now be scared shitless but orders are orders. Zexni: "So, everyone ready? There never is anywhere in the UK that do this kinda thing. 
Oh, except this one time at a shop they had a small tourny on that game with 29 arcade games on. Person who got the highest score won the game, everyone who entered got a free t-shirt. I CAME FRICKING SECOND!!! And the bit that really pisses me off: I managed to shatter the 1st place guy's high score AFTER the competition was over!  So I was pretty pissed off.
Anywho... is there anywhere online I can check if there are any kind of gaming tournaments? I'd love to go to one and slaughter people on various games... |

| Jones leads the group to the south. How convenient that the rear of the base is at the south and the front entrance is at the north. So much for Alex's second route. If it were Jones who gave the order Alex could have persuaded him to take a second route. Since it was an alien of much more awesome strength than any human, and that even Alex's armour was like paper to their species, he had no choice but to shut up and follow. He was now covering the rear of the group instead of being just behind Jones.
In his mind, Alex hears a mass of bleeping. He grabs his head for a few seconds as he deactivates the scanner. "Guys, keep watch to your left... We got unwanted company." Just as his sentence finishes four tiger-like things jump out from the bushes. They walked on two legs like a human, but they had huge claws instead of hands and their bodies were completely covered with a yellow-orange fur. They also had a very cat-like face, mainly the reason these things couldn't speak human. One jumps at Alex, two jump at the girls and one jumps between Jones and James, staring James in the eye. They all seem to make the same attack. All four jump up and strike downwards, sending a flurry of kicks to everyone I mentioned before. Alex raises his arms and allows his armour to take the impact, then he grabs the creature's foot, swinging it straight into a tree, knocking it unconsious. Instead of helping the others, he stands his ground and sees what skill the others have. He takes out his pistol and blasts his creature's head a couple of times to kill it. |

| Alex took out his saber and cut a small square out of the tiger's thick skin and placed it in an empty compartment of his armour. "I can just see us now having to fight a creature without the ability to smell..." Alex jokes. He still felt kinda woozy that they were going to the back, but he felt a bit better now knowing the skills of the group. Plus there shouldn't be any guards or 'scientists' like the last time if the other two groups fulfill their duty. The group continue forward. | |||

| His armour protects him from any proper damage, but the impact certainly had an affect. He is sent back crashing into the wall where, because the wall was indestructible, he just bounced off with nothing much to help cushion the blow. He lands this time on one knee instead of his usual crouching position. It was obvious that he had been injured. He slowly stands collecting his spear. He holds it towards Ivan in a stabbing fashion yet he walks slowly. As soon as he gets within a metre of Ivan, Imor jumps up and over him as fast as he possibly could and brings the spear down on top of him. | |||

Okay, I'm now back on my feet after general procrastination towards many of my battles... This tourny is helping me with that.  For some reason unexplained...
That and FX keeps pestering me.

| Alex interupts the conversation, "I've been told it had something to do with the radiation that caused very rapid and random genetic mutations in the living cells of the workers... And those 'tigers' were human. They were a simple example of how random the mutations got." Alex turns on his scanner, his expression going slightly depressed and anxious. "Guys... We'd better keep moving... They're a few kilometres off yet, but there are many more creatures approaching from behind. They're too far away to get good read-out, but I estimate about 30 or so. Since there are only five or six of us, we don't stand much chance... Some have much more intelligence than all of the Space Marines scientists put together." Alex begins to walk quickly forward, keeping his mind focused on the radar. If he could just build enough energy up, he could analyse the incoming creatures and find weaknesses. It would take about 10 minutes to charge it, but there was not any other option (That was safe for the scanner anyway). | |||

| Alex relaxed his hand. "Hmm... I guess there is no danger in you coming..." Alex's scanners kicked in, and he almost fell to the floor from shock.
"Shit! Guys, we'd better start absolutely legging it! Unless you feel you can take on 50 various mutated humans... All with their own unique ability. And I'm not going through the whole list... No fricking time! All I can say is most of them are very strong, but their running speed is just a bit below ours. If we can get far enough away we can get out of their range of smell and hearing. NOW RUN!" Jones immediatly runs forward as Alex says this, Alex following closely behind. His armour tore off his body and transformed into a weapon, very much like a spear. The spear was much more powerful in attack but it did leave Alex much more exposed. He hopes that the others are following, although he doesn't look behind to check. The various creatures ran through Alex's mind. The creatures had strange things about them. A lot of them looked like insects, probably because of the huge mass of insects that there are in any area. Humans that looked like beetles, had the relative strength of ants, had the ability to fly. Alex wasn't too sure if the group could run, and if they couldn't they would all have to stand ground and fight. Of course that shouldn't be too much of a problem, but they do outnumber the group 50 to 6. EDIT: A bit of a spelling error. (Last edited by Teundusia on 07-09-06 06:28 PM) |
